Honestly, I never saw any problem with this movie. It was lighter, and not as epic as the other movies, but I thought it was a fun kind of “Adventures of Han and Chewie” story, and I still hope we see more. There’s no Solo 2 coming but they haven’t completely written off the idea of that previously announced Lando movie.

Later, after science guys complained, they retconned it to be used as a measure of distance. Now, we get the best of both worlds: it's properly used as distance, and it's Han lying to impress the ignorant.

Another such bit is when 3P0 tells Luke when they first meet that he's not very good at telling stories,. Then in return of the Jedi tells the entire saga to the Ewoks, and does so movingly as a demonstration of character development. So, probably not what Lucas had in mind, but something that Howard used to explain it.

The original directors, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, were fired from the project, after 6 months of filming. They showed producer Kathleen Kennedy 90 minutes of footage, and after seeing the footage, she told them that their service was no longer required. Ron Howard was brought in to do 3 months of reshoots. The reason why tegy were fired is because that the original cut of the film looked more like a comedy than a serious action adventure movie.
L3 was voiced by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who wrote and starred in Fleabag. If you haven't seen it, it's worth a watch. It's 2 seasons of 10 episodes each. She also wrote Killing Eve, which ran for much longer. When she auditioned for L3, she didn't know what a droid was, so she just basically went in as herself. It seemed to work for her.
Beckett was played by Woody Harrelson. He's been in lots of things, my favorite being the Zombieland movies and the Now You See Me movies lol. This movie wasn't great, but honestly, it didn't have to be. A movie doesn't have to be "great" to still be interesting and informative. We got to see how Han met Chewie and Lando and got the Falcon and did the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs. It had enough good points that were pretty good to make it a decent enough movie. I might not go out of my way to watch it again, but if it came on TV and I wasn't watching something else, I'd flip to it.
Forgot to mention in another post, if you do plan on watching Star Wars: The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett you should watch s1-s2 of the Mandalorian first, then the Book of Boba Fett (only one season), then you go back to s3-s4 of Mandalorian as their stories are intertwined.

Dawn, in the office after Denyres, or Kira killed her boss, there was a set of Mandolorion armor, i thought there would be a sequel to this where Han meets Jabba, and Kira wears that armor, in the 1980s, there was a rumor that Boba Fett was a woman. and that would explain why they cared if Han died in the carbon freezing chamber. no normal bounty hunter would give two shits if a bounty died. that made me think they were a former aquaintaince of Han's or a jilted lover from his past. this movie sets it up as Kira being Boba Fett.

I agree with you on Solo, I really enjoyed it, but it was not the best it was in the middle with some really good bits. I kind of feel the same with 7, 8, % 9, enjoyable but not great. Because Ford is not a huge fan of playing Han. One of his favorite roles is Indiana Jones. He told Disney he would do force awakens only if they would kill him off and that he could do another Indy film. Years later, we have another Indy film coming out.

While not terrible, Solo just feels like an unnecessary story with a big mess behind the scenes. And it got my hopes up of actual droid rights acknowledgement, but then the 'revolution' is played as a joke ☹
That said, I do enjoy Donald Glover as young Lando.
