I am a 26 year old woman who works a professional job with a lot of older (10-30 years older) colleagues who are married men. It’s common for me to attend conferences and work events with them where travel is involved. You would not believe the number of men who use this time to get drunk, and start flirting with their female colleagues. I had married men in my space getting touchy and flirty with me throughout our last conference. I was disgusted. All I could think about was their wives who were strapped at home with these men’s babies (some of whom were actually pregnant) while their men are “working” in another city. Most men in corporate jobs these days DONT work that hard, they have meetings, take long breaks, go drinking and socializing. It’s nothing compared to what their wives deal with at home. This last conference was a truly eye opening experience for me.

They are also hurt when their own "buddies" tell them that a certain woman is "out of their league". I don't understand why many men surround themselves with friends who are negative and mean towards them. This is such an issue especially in the black community or the so called 'hood'. Many times, the men who are considered "nerdy" escape this nonsense but then they are often bullied for being focused on their education. So, this is why it's hard to even sympathize with men who are jealous of women because many of them had opportunities to be with amazing women who poured light into them, yet they blew it.

As a UABW (and 19 years old), I am a virgin, Christian college student waiting for marriage and studying Tech. None of my family advocated for this lifestyle. My brown skinned mother told me Tech is a man’s job, my dark skinned father said waiting for marriage is useless if you don’t “test it before you drive”, my dark skinned brother explicitly told me that he won’t date a BW and only date Latinas (despite attacking one a year ago and having a case) and would “make me dead to him” if I don’t date a BM. Yes some men are definitely jealous of pretty women. I got flashbacks thinking about all the things the ex put me through. I never understood this and nor was I even aware of this for the longest time. It left me perplexed to even think a man would even care to compete or compare himself to a woman. I just found it odd. When a man showed signs of jealousy in my past I was oblivious to it (then again I was oblivious to jealousy from women as well) until I got older and it became much more blatant and there was no denying it. I still find it weird. When you said our beauty is power, that put it in better perspective as to why a man would hate. They want the power. Women who are shunned, literally, from society. They have to cover from head to toe. I’ve seen quite a few of documentaries on the acid attacks. It’s heartbreaking. The women are disowned and forced to leave their homes sometimes to never be able to return and deal with a life changing condition and depression, therapy and some are unable to cope and commit suicide. Also the temporary marriages they are being tricked into . Thinking they will marry the man and have a better life . Only to find out they were tricked into giving a man her virginity and then he dissapears. Leaving her tainted goods and shunned , not able to face society and find a husband after she is no longer pure. These women are often forced into prostitution and alone with no other means of survival . It’s really interesting, I have sort of a unique situation. I’ve never had a boyfriend and every time a guy finds out that I like him or I try to go after him, they run away from me. I cut my ex guyfriend off after I graduate from highschool because he likes me and I rejected him, so he took it upon himself to give me a silent treatment, he even go far enough to "fake" kissed me and my other friend checked him. This dude was really entitled to me because I'm a beautiful woman and it's worse when I'm lightskined and he's dark skinned, so that's another reason why he was being entitled to me. As an emotional gay man, I agree. I have often felt envious of women, perceiving them as the most socially privileged group globally. I yearn for the same attention that women, particularly attractive ones, receive. Witnessing many less conventionally attractive women with extremely attractive men, I cannot help but wonder how they manage it. However, my envy has diminished as I have adopted the social strategies commonly associated with women. To clarify, rather than engaging in casual encounters with just any man, I make it clear that I am interested in dating and long-term relationships. Consequently, I find that men are more inclined to take me out on dates and buy me gifts.

I am a 26 year old woman who works a professional job with a lot of older (10-30 years older) colleagues who are married men. It’s common for me to attend conferences and work events with them where travel is involved. You would not believe the number of men who use this time to get drunk, and start flirting with their female colleagues. I had married men in my space getting touchy and flirty with me throughout our last conference. I was disgusted. All I could think about was their wives who were strapped at home with these men’s babies (some of whom were actually pregnant) while their men are “working” in another city. Most men in corporate jobs these days DONT work that hard, they have meetings, take long breaks, go drinking and socializing. It’s nothing compared to what their wives deal with at home. This last conference was a truly eye opening experience for me.

I usually hide in my hotel room as much as possible, I only come out for required events and stay for the minimal amount of time and then run away back to my hotel room. Many times, the men who are considered "nerdy" escape this nonsense but then they are often bullied for being focused on their education. Women who are shunned, literally, from society. They have to cover from head to toe. I recommend Any woman to watch documentaries on how Afghanistan women are treated and acid attacks on women in India. And how they can get R by a gang of men, then get shamed for it.
I’ve seen quite a few of documentaries on the acid attacks. It’s heartbreaking. The women are disowned and forced to leave their homes sometimes to never be able to return and deal with a life changing condition and depression, therapy and some are unable to cope and commit suicide. Also the temporary marriages they are being tricked into . Thinking they will marry the man and have a better life . Only to find out they were tricked into giving a man her virginity and then he dissapears. Leaving her tainted goods and shunned , not able to face society and find a husband after she is no longer pure. These women are often forced into prostitution and alone with no other means of survival . So the pimps still end controlling the outcastes women who became that way from giving a man her virginity under the guise of a marriage. Sorry for the lengthy comment.

I cut my ex guyfriend off after I graduate from highschool because he likes me and I rejected him, so he took it upon himself to give me a silent treatment, he even go far enough to "fake" kissed me and my other friend checked him. One time we went to Universal Resort for our senior year trip, my bestfriends and him was at the Jimmy Fallon ride, I saw this handsome guy from the other highschool and I told him that he's handsome, he gave me a compliment telling me that I'm beautiful, this ex guyfriend got really mad and acting real funny. This dude was really entitled to me because I'm a beautiful woman and it's worse when I'm lightskined and he's dark skinned, so that's another reason why he was being entitled to me. So yeah, It's true.
