I've been getting a lot of questions about this, so here's the answer. The movie is called "Wolf Children" as it literally says in the title of this video, and the song is called "Married Life" from the Pixar movie Up. You can find Wolf Children on Amazon: www.amazon.com/Wolf-Children-Colleen-Clinkenbeard/dp/B00ENNO1E6/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2MAIVM7NKUVKG&keywords=wolf+children&qid=1659804162&sprefix=wolf+childre%2Caps%2C225&sr=8-3

Whizzer's terrible horrible no good very bad day oh no why did I have to read this?! 😭 Oh goodness my heart can’t take it! There’s not enough emoji’s to express the pain 😩😭☹️😭😭😭
I love how when I watched this movie with my mom, she didn't seem at all upset with the ending. She didn't say that either kid seemed ungrateful. I had read so many comments of ppl saying that the kids left her behind or took her for granted, but when I brought up the movie again to my mom, she went "Her son is king of the forest so now she can roam the forest freely because her son will protect her" and I thought that was just so wholesome. I also noticed that, when Hana says to Ame "I haven't done anything for you", then Ame runs back into the forest and howls, that's his way of saying that she helped him become his own person and that he's grateful for all the sacrifice she's done for him. Hana understood that, which is why she smiles. Both kids are grateful in the end. I mean just imagine them in vacations together roaming the forest and running around and having fun. Sure, now they're all on their own, but that doesn't mean they completely left each other and I think that's what the movie implies.
Awww that’s so sweet of ur mom! My mom would watch the first 10 seconds, say “oh that’s nice” and go back to doing computer work 😂 and I agree, I don’t think that they were ungrateful, they just wanted to be independent!
well that excatly what will happen irl too. child will grow up and had to leave their parents to lived up their own life. but that doesn't mean those child are ungrateful. it just part of growing up. and parents understand this. in fact mostly parents would be happy if their children doing well with their own life even if they might feel lonely at times
that’s a really beautiful way of looking at the ending like that. made me tear up a bit :’) your mom’s awesome dude, so glad i came across this comment! gave my perspective on the movie a whole other view ^^
Actually, I'm pretty sure the original lofi girl was Shizuku, the main character from Whisper of the Heart. I used to replay that movie all the time as a kid. Unless the original lofi girl is not the girl I'm picturing, in which case my bad.
Imagine having the struggles of being single parent to not just toddlers, but toddlers combined with the struggle of puppies. This woman has the patience of a saint
Rynne Yeah the part that gets to me is how hard she had to try and protect them and keep them hidden from others and intrigarte them into society (or at least try to).
Hanna is so strong. It’s hard enough being a single mother but being a single mother to TWO wolf children really young with no one to help. Now that’s a mother
There was an excellent phrase that I read in a book called Wings of Fire, I think it's APJ Abdul Kalam's autobiography: "Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of life's longing for itself. They come through you but not from you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts, for they have their own thoughts." I think this movie sums it up perfectly.
Hana is literally mother of the year. First her husband died then she became a single mother to not one but two half human half wolf kids someone please give this women a trophy
I sincerly can't handle that scene with the father/husband dying. It just breaks my heart. He goes out to help his family and then dies, gets treated like literal garbage and Hana doesn't even get to say goodbye. ;-;
What I never understood was why they would just throw him away like that?! Aren't they interested in why there's a wolf here when there shouldn't be any in the wild? I would've thought there would be a big interest and they would take him in for testing or something.
Yeah, a singular wolf in urban city usually means it was being raised illegally as a pet. Idk how their pet laws work but I'm pretty sure people don't just throw away corpses of random dead dogs they find on the street without first checking for chips and owners... At least I hope not or I'm being to optimistic of people's humanity lol
Though, it's also possible they just thought of it as a really big dog. They knew there were no wolves in japan and probably just assumed it as some kind of a husky breed.
My mom raised me and my sister alone. She was alone but never missed anything. We went for walks, picnics and trips. We weren't wolves but my sister did eat books
The manga shows that Yuki visits Hana on school holidays and that the two of them write letters back and forth frequently. The manga also shows that Ame visits Hana and brings her fruit. So, the family does reunite here and there. :)
@@autumnemerald1019 That's nice to hear. It always bothered me that Hana worked so hard for her family, after already losing her husband. To only be left alone in the end, especially by Ame. So it's nice they at least visit at times.
THEY COULD'VE SHOWN THAT AS END CREDITS SCENES LETTERS FROM THAT BRATTT GIRL AND THAT DUMB BOY DAMMIT IM IN TEARS THINKING SHE NEVER SEES THEM AGAIN 😭😭😭😭 MAMAS ALWAYS GET TREATED LIKE SHIT AND ARE NEVER APPRECIATED. Im saying this as i treat my mom like crap and dont appreciate her either 😣😞
That's the hard truth about being a parent sometimes, you work so hard to raise them, and then you have to let them go....But yeah I wish they'd spend more time with their poor mother :(
I don't the they are unappreciative of their mother. Ame choosing to be a wolf and following his dreams means so much to her. More than her "losing him", you can see it in her eyes when she smiles at him.
The whole time I watched this movie I couldn't help but feel sorry for the mom. She loses her husband while she has two little children and has to raise and take care of them all on her own. Then one leaves to live as a wolf in the forest. Must be so hard for her, the amount of dedication and patience she has is inspiring.
The most terrifying thing is that she can't get help especially when her kids are sick because she have wolf-human kids. Can't go to the hospital or the vet, what do you do? The fear of your child being expose to the public as wolf hybrid. The child would differently be put down or worse, be caged and used as lap animals by the government and scientists. Just like what happens to werewolf in the manga "The Days of Hana"
Fortunately, by the end of the movie, Hana still has her beautiful home, her friends (the neighbors), the gardening, and a job that she enjoys down at the nature center. Plus, she's content with knowing that Yuki and Ame were doing what she had taught them to do - to find, embrace, and pursue their true selves. The manga also shows that Yuki visits Hana during school holidays and that the two of them write letters back and forth frequently. Ame also visits Hana and brings her fruit. So, the the family still reunites every so often. :)
That seemed quite sad but at the end she understood their children had grown so they're by their own now, it eventually will happen to everyone though, when becoming a parent.
@@JamesZ32100 She did technically stay but it mentions at the end of the film how Yuki moves into a dorm once she hit middle school aged. Meaning that Hana is now all alone in that big old house by herself. :(
It is painful that the mom has to say goodbye. It happens though in real life, children start a family of their own (or stay single) some even go to live abroad. Time teaches you how to adjust and develop a new communication. Every day ame howled to show his mom he is ok. I repeat the process is painful but at least Hana was happy at the end and that is what matters.
I know the ending is supposed to be "shes content with her children being happy" but like this movie depressed the hell out of me. I can't exactly find a happy ending where her husband is dead and her children have already left her at early ages.
@@wa7saka is the maga called the same as the movie, and is it in english available becuase then i love to read it i kinda hated the ending a bit but reading this i feel much better that her kids and espically amy didnt totally dump her.
I haven't watched Wolf Children just yet, and it's eight months late, lurking in the comment section, and I may not know you but I hope you're feeling better! 😁💕
When I took my 2-year 1/2 old son to the cinema to watch this movie in September 2012, I hadn't watched any trailer or anything so I really didn't know what to expect. All I knew was that we were going through a hard time and I literally welcomed any excuse to escape reality. So when the husband died and my son whispered "Is he dead?" with a worried look on his face, that was too much. My husband had committed suicide two weeks before and I needed something to take my mind off things, not a cruel reminder of what had just happened. I hated myself for imposing this to my son. I should have read a synopsis. I offered him to leave but he said he liked the movie and insisted on staying. And I'm glad he did. You have no idea how much this movie helped me at that time of my life. It was actually just what I needed to watch. I was so scared of the future. I was so scared not being able to raise my son on my own. Hana is so brave and never gives up, and she inspired me so much. I left the cinema thinking "Keep your chin up. You can do this. And instead of crying over what you have lost, be happy with what you have". I owe this movie so much… This movie is also a beautiful metaphor of what being a parent should be: while always doing your best to raise your children, you have to keep in mind that they don't "belong" to you. You raise them so that one day, they are old enough to make their own choices and even if those are not the choices you would have hoped for, if that's what makes them happy, you'll have to respect that and let them stand on their own two feet. That being said, my son is nearly 10 now and I'm not in a hurry to see him "try his own wings"... We've been living on our own for the last seven years and our bond is really strong, but he knows that whatever the choices he'll make in his life (career, hobbies, religion, sexual orientation… whatever!), I'll always be there for him and will always support him. Anyway, I talk too much, sorry. Thank you for that beautiful video. The choice of song is really spot on and it surely strikes a chord…
Fantony - FramboiseLFC - When I watched the movie, it always makes me think of my own mom and her love and support for my sisters and I. On Mother's Day weekend of 2018 I we had a movie night and showed her this movie and she also loved it and was hurt by the husband dying. I am so sorry what happened to you, but happy you could pull through. I can't imagine how this the beginning of this movie made you feel on first watch after your husband's own death. But I'm glad this movie helped you and made you believe you can get through this. You became your own Hana, raising your toddler by yourself after losing your husband. You were scared, felt alone, worried for yourself and your kid. But you became a hero and pulled through. Your child is still a young boy, but one day he'll go, but he'll know you have his support and love. People say "it's just movie" but it can still leave an impact. Your story is beautiful and I wish you a happy ending.
My mil is in her 60's and is not exactly the kind of person who would watch an anime. My husband lent this movie to her and she called him in tears saying she loved it. My husband was about Yuki's age when his father died in a train accident. His mom is my hero, raising a dozen kids and step kids, and dozens more grandkids. It's been 30 years and she still loves him and misses him so much. I'm so grateful to have her help as I'm having my first child in 2 months, even if I don't think I could ever measure up to being half the mother she is. You are an awesome mom and your son is lucky to have you. I'm sorry you both have had to go through so much.
Your comment made me cry... I cannot even imagine how hard it must have been for you. I wish you and your son nothing but the best in life. I am sure your son is a great little guy as you sound like a great person. 🙂
Doesn’t anyone is sad because she only has her husband’s ID card photo when he died? It just struck onto me suddenly...but he left her with two precious children
Same it’s so heartbreaking. My only happiness is in realizing that it catches up to the “present” in the end. We don’t know if he visits her again, and she surely isn’t alone with the villagers too. It would be awesome to get a second book, but probably bittersweet too.
I just realised When Hana hugs her husband after he finds out she's pregnant, he's holding a canned peach The fruit Ame returns to give Hana at the end of the official Wolf Children Manga is a peach, as a symbol of motherhood that she puts on her husbands altar My heart has melted, i am deceased
You have to love hana. When she was looking at his drivers license, she wanted to have a breakdown. Until she realised she needed to stay strong for the kids, she knew thats what he would've wanted. So everyday she gave her all to raise the kids well, I JUST LOVE HER SO MUCH SHE DESERVES SO MUCH MORE. I hope she see's him in heaven, 😔
Yep, hope they meet each other again in Heaven. Seems like such a sad but powerful story. I'm definitely gonna be watching this movie now, the reviews and comments here seem really positive
I know... normally in sad movies like this they imply that the loved one is watching over the person from heaven by another character saying it, but here you don’t see a trace of him after his death. Besides what she sees which is a driver’s license and I suppose the children, so you really hope they meet again later on in heaven.
This really bring back memories. At first, I didn't believe the wolf's death, until the next scenes are being played. The mother's son looks really the same of her husband and I'm really proud of the her being a single mother.
One of my friends was like "there's a furry anime you should watch lol." She didn't mention I'd cry several times while watching it. :') Jesus, what a sad movie idk what the creators were thinking, but they made a masterpiece.
I hate how people call thia a furry movie I mean this was made even before furries really existed or was known it makes me mad it hurts me I love this movie ill never forget it
@@Hollowghost360 she was mainly joking when she said that, we both love the movie too. No disrespect, it's a masterpiece that should be taken seriously :)
I feel bad for the mother. 😭😭 She was an ordinary high school student then she met "him." Despite the financial problems they decided to get married. They were so happy. Then she became pregnant and they instantly became parents. But the father suddenly have to die and leave his family making the mother to take care of their children all alone. Struggling to survive, she tried her best to be a good mother. After growing up, her children found their passion and decides to part with their mother. After all that sacrifice, her youth being taken away, she ended up alone, but satisfied. 😢
the father was on the haunt mode on that day, if you watch the movie you will see that the father have some feathers on his surrounding, he only want what the best for his family...
I couldn't resist when Ame left Hana without any words,,just like her husband n father....I hated Ame then so much,,,but after watching how Hana accepted everything with a SMILE on her face,, I realized this is what all our parents do actually.... They accept n love us the way we are!!!!!!
This is dedicated to all those amazing single parents out there, single moms AND single dad, who have gone through, or are going through that struggle of raising one or more kids on their own! You are the real heroes! much love to you all
I don't know if anyone will read this but this movie really means a lot to me,because the story is similar to what happened to my mom me and my brother, when I was 8 my dad died because of cancer my little brother was 3 at the time, because of private reason we had to move to Germany I had to learn German and mom had to raise us both alone. Whenever I watch it I have to think about my life and how hard it is for my mom (she also is borderline and has depression so it's even harder for her) I love her a lot 💕 I don't think anybody will read this but yeahhh
For me, my dad left my mom before i was even born, so she raised me all on her own along with my lil sis. Literally, most of the people my mom was with would always leave her, so it really makes me sad whenever i see her hard work in raising us. This movie really reflected my mom a lot and i'll cherish it till the end of my life, it's a real masterpiece and a great inspiration to many.
I watched this years ago and just as I thought I was ok I saw how the son walking away looked like her husband in the meadow dream and I started sobbing. She deserves the world 😭
I was raised by a single father after my mom committed suicide, whenever I see Hana I only think about the hardships my father had to go through raising a daughter on his own.He never expects anything from me, he just loves me unconditionally and wants me to live my life the way I want. He is the best gift of my life.
I know how you feel, my dad left when I was just a baby and leave my mom alone with 4 kids, I cant even imagine the pain of my mom when my dad left her for other woman, she raises all of us by her own, and after 20 years we are all here, taking care of her. Guess we got our heroes.
I'm so grateful for the villagers too, they are so kind to hana and the kids😭 This manga ending is so wholesome😭 And yuki writes her mother letters from her dormitory asking her about her and ame's wellbeing. The kids not ungrateful or left their mother alone, they find their own path and live it up just like what hana been promising when the kids were little. To raise them and let them be what they want to be just as described on chapter 1 when she dream of her husband😭 Don't say bad stuffs about the kids you illiterate people😭 I mean those rude people that been complaining about kids leaving hana alone to go to school and taking care of the forest.
I've never seen two animated characters have so much chemistry together, like that scene where he runs to her and spins her around warms my heart so much 😭
My definition of life: "Empty hole without sense". But after watching this video so humanly i think that a simple life is not all that bad. i was really touched by this video.😢
I always think of my mom when i see hanna, her and my dad got a divorce and now shes taking care of all 8 of us. Shes so amazing and strong, i would do anything for her.
My mom had to raise 4 kids by herself even though my dad put her through so much and traumatized her and she was mistreated a lot as a child. She’s the strongest woman I know.
Idk Lmao try reading the manga. I didn’t know what I was in for. Let’s just say I don’t cry often and I was balling on the bloody bus 😂 This has a fraction of the amount of emotion in the screams and the words from the manga.
I always find it so cute when he runs to Hana and spins her around upon finding out shes pregnant. He was so excited to be a dad... At least he got to see both his children even if he wont see them grow up
I've seen wolf children probably 8 times, and everytime it has touched me in such a deep meaningful way. Hana and the children do have to overcome osvtacles but above all else she was a good loving mother, she never complained and never gave up on them. She had to come to terms early that her children were leaving her, and to see her so content and fulfilled with that future is bittersweet.
The ending brought me to tears. (Spoiler below) Ame leaves and embraces his being of a wolf. Yuki leaves their home for boarding school. The mom is left at home. She looks at her husband's ID picture and she gazes outside their house and hears his son's howl from the mountains and smiles happily. This is something we all get to experience in life. Children eventually growing up and moving away from their parents for their dreams. We should all cherish every moment we have with our family.
A A H H H H the ending still makes me cry so much. both her children end up leaving to pursure their own lives and identities. you can see hana hesitate, but she lets go. even though the only things she has left of her lover are her children, a drivere license and memories, she lets go. hana is the best portrayal of a mom for me and no one has ever come close to beating her
I cried so hard watching this movie and even set their family pictures as my wallpapers on my laptop, tablet, smartphone. The ending brings such nostalgic longing feeling.
I don't know but I never meet someone like Hana. It would never tho. She's just pure inside outside! She's definitely just fiction character, no one in real life can be like her. She always try her best for her children and love his husband unconditionally. She doesn't even think about hating or disappointed 😭😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️ truly angel!!!
At least he’s happy, know this, Ame is doing what he wants to be, remember what the wolfman said they’ll find their path and ame did, and Yuki did too, they still connect with their mom too in the manga actually ame would visit and leave a fruit for her and Yuki on the other hand sent letters to her and on holidays, she visits maybe ame could visit on a holiday too!😊, because one thing that ma tell me every day is nobody loves you more then your mother!🥰
adrian botello that’s relieving to hear. I figured Yuki would have greater chances of staying in touch w/ her, but I wasn’t sure about Ame since it seemed like he sort of just disappeared into the wild. Nice to see the familial bond still going strong. She was such a caring mother, doing everything she can to protect them from harm b/c they’re werewolves, but also trying to prepare them for the world and for their own, independent living b/c she can’t be there to shield the world from them forever. I think a lot of parents can relate: wondering if what they did was right, if what they did was enough, if they’re kids are at least happy in life.
I'm like the second mom to my siblings. This future of all them growing up and being incredible individuals amazes and terrifies me. But hey Wolf children is all about that and it's beautiful
She was nothing but an amazing and diligent mother who raised two strong and energetic children. Absolutely nothing but pure respect for this character.
This movie reminds me so much of my mom who basically raised my sister and I by herself since my dad was narcissistic and didn't really raise us all he did was work and care for himself. My mom did her best to raise us right even if doubted herself she kept going and stayed strong for us. After watching this movie I called my mom and told her how much I appreciated her. This movie is truly beautiful.
I think the girl was greatful towards the mom,but the boy was the real issue for me.imagine raising him up,but he ends up abandoning his whole human life.
I remember when I first saw this movie with my dad after not being able to see him after 9 years. we went to his house and this was the first movie we ever watched together. I’ve been trying to find this movie for the longest time as I couldn’t remember cause I was still a little kid but I remember every little detail from the movie just not the name I am very thankful I just came across this video you brought back so many memories. When I saw this video all I could think about is how my dad was talking about it so much and said it was the best movie he ever saw and after I watched it with him I couldn’t agree more now that I can’t see my dad this is the best memory with him.
I didn't want to watch this knowing what happens to him and knowing this f**king song gets me everytime. Combine them together and you get a never ending river of tears😭😭😭

There was an excellent phrase that I read in a book called Wings of Fire, I think it's APJ Abdul Kalam's autobiography:
"Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of life's longing for itself. They come through you but not from you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts, for they have their own thoughts."
I think this movie sums it up perfectly.
I think these are Kahlil Ghibran's lines
aristaa singh Great quote! Its from The Prophet by Khalil Gibran. I love that book.
Indeed
That's my grandma always tells us.
Wings of fire is awesome
The fact that she didn’t even had the time to grieve over her husband’s death and just be “i’ll take care of them” 😭😭
Hana is literally mother of the year. First her husband died then she became a single mother to not one but two half human half wolf kids
someone please give this women a trophy
This anime/movie deserves a Oscar. But the problem is, Oscar doesn’t deserve this anime...
One of the Mothers of EVERY year.
Being main character in an anime this good/popular is trophy enough
Mother of the century......yes
She'll make even the most callous person call up their mother and say "I love you".
I sincerly can't handle that scene with the father/husband dying. It just breaks my heart.
He goes out to help his family and then dies, gets treated like literal garbage and Hana doesn't even get to say goodbye. ;-;

@@C7y323 there are no wolves in japan which /should/ raise even more questions
Though, it's also possible they just thought of it as a really big dog. They knew there were no wolves in japan and probably just assumed it as some kind of a husky breed.
My mom raised me and my sister alone. She was alone but never missed anything. We went for walks, picnics and trips. We weren't wolves but my sister did eat books
Hats off to your mother and the last part about your sister is hilarious 😂😂
I laughed so hard at that last part 😂

You sound like you have a lovely family. God bless them
Hope the children visit their mother once in a while. She doesn't deserve to be left alone
THEY COULD'VE SHOWN THAT AS END CREDITS SCENES LETTERS FROM THAT BRATTT GIRL AND THAT DUMB BOY DAMMIT IM IN TEARS THINKING SHE NEVER SEES THEM AGAIN 😭😭😭😭
MAMAS ALWAYS GET TREATED LIKE SHIT AND ARE NEVER APPRECIATED.
Tina Lee damn Days Of Hana was just a roller coaster of emotions
My heart very pain when his son leave💔😭 I wish he come back home 😭
I really wanna watch more is so short
Fortunately, by the end of the movie, Hana still has her beautiful home, her friends (the neighbors), the gardening, and a job that she enjoys down at the nature center. Plus, she's content with knowing that Yuki and Ame were doing what she had taught them to do - to find, embrace, and pursue their true selves.
The manga also shows that Yuki visits Hana during school holidays and that the two of them write letters back and forth frequently. Ame also visits Hana and brings her fruit. So, the the family still reunites every so often. :)
She's legit the best mom anyone could ask for bruhhhh
I couldn’t imagine the pain of a mother when her children grow up and she has to let them go.
Didn't the daughter stayed with her? She has her own life, but she didn't became a full-fledged wolf and ran back to the wild like her brother no?
That seemed quite sad but at the end she understood their children had grown so they're by their own now, it eventually will happen to everyone though, when becoming a parent.
@@JamesZ32100 She did technically stay but it mentions at the end of the film how Yuki moves into a dorm once she hit middle school aged. Meaning that Hana is now all alone in that big old house by herself. :(
@@yolandastargaze4565 maybe hana will find love again with someone new and move on from her heartbreak~
Are they seriously playing that song from up? NOOOOOOOO
first few seconds in “I know this song, not sure what from though”

I know the ending is supposed to be "shes content with her children being happy" but like this movie depressed the hell out of me.
I can't exactly find a happy ending where her husband is dead and her children have already left her at early ages.
Angela Ziegler I KNOW like she sacrificed so much for her children’s happiness and she doesn’t even get to be happy herself... that poor woman
if it makes you feel better in the manga they do visit her sometimes with yuki on school holidays and ame bringing her fruit

@@jocelynjones1737 i watched this since I was a kid and it would always be the best animation.
Fantony - FramboiseLFC -
When I watched the movie, it always makes me think of my own mom and her love and support for my sisters and I.

I know... normally in sad movies like this they imply that the loved one is watching over the person from heaven by another character saying it, but here you don’t see a trace of him after his death. Besides what she sees which is a driver’s license and I suppose the children, so you really hope they meet again later on in heaven.

Then she became pregnant and they instantly became parents. But the father suddenly have to die and leave his family making the mother to take care of their children all alone. Struggling to survive, she tried her best to be a good mother. After growing up, her children found their passion and decides to part with their mother. adrian botello that’s relieving to hear.
Hana is the best mom in anime... She always smile even when she struggles, raised a wolf children, and she's doing it so well. Preach woman 🧎♀️
