I like this movie. I honestly don't see this scene as beastiality. Beastiality is having intercourse with an animal that is completely incapable of giving consent. This "wolf" is a human in fantasy creature form. Sure his shape has changed, but he still retains his reasoning. Hana loves him regardless of what strange powers he is cursed with, which is what makes the scene so powerful.

Yea he was in wolf form when they made love, but that’s what makes the scene so powerful because it’s showing that Hana loves and accepts that side of him and is showing she doesn’t hate nor fear the wolf in him but that she loves it because it’s apart of him.

Thoralmir He finished his shopping and got the stuff for their family. Left his wallet as well as he was going hunting in his wolf form. He must have wanted to hunt and get the bird like he did in the beginning. He must have drowned, it's not clearly shown but can be interpreted that way. Drowned upstream and washed down into the channel.
Why is that so weird? I think they even insinuated that with Ame almost drowning. And it's not a werewolf. Japanese myths about wolves are different. Hana just mentions that she doesn't know a lot about the world, about werewolves. Ookami as well their kids could transform on demand, that's what I understood.
This is one of the most beautiful moments in the film and in cinema in general. Call it beastiality, but what it is to me is true love through open and honest eyes and souls. Why? Because even after she saw who and what he really is, it didn't changer her love for him one bit. That's show's she loved who is really there. His form didn't matter, it was who and what he is on the inside. I think we all have had moments like that were looks don't matter, its whats on the inside. And I really love that exchange of dialogue, it sums it up her feelings all too well and the line delivery is excellent. "But you're trembling. Are you scared?" "I'm not. Because its you." I hope to hear that someday myself...

I literally watched this movie yesterday, and I can't stop watching this part of the movie, because I really loved it a lot. The thing I really loved about this scene was the fact that after he had transformed, she still loved him no matter what, even though he was different, and the fact that she didn't judge him for being part wolf, and still seeing him for who he really is, is very sweet and adorable in my opinion. I ADORE this love story, because it truly feels sincere and honest - as if to depict that there truly are people in the world who will love you EXACTLY as you are, and they will not fear your true self. A beautiful message full of hope.
I loved watching this film. The film was so strong with the emotions. All the sad parts got to me. You can call me a cry baby but I just felt so attached to the characters and the story line it was hard not to cry.
I cried 3 times watching this fill, especially when Aime left to go and live in the forest at the end of the movie. It was so heart warming, and it is quite the tear jerker. I've never cried watching any other anime, this is my my number 1 favorite anime.
I MISS this movie it was one of my first introductions into anime and it was one of the greatest intros the chachters whernt overly animeified just perfectly inbetween the realms of human and anime and it looks beautiful sadly you have to pay to watch it now
Beautiful scene but everyone seems focused on the last part. Who says he stays wolf the entire time? He COULD have changed back as he can do it at will. Who says they had sex? They COULD have just cuddled. My point is that it is whatever you make it to be so those of you saying it's disturbing and beastly etc....IT'S IN YOUR HEAD!! Hana and her secret lover, the young werewolf, have met and fell in love. After he reveals his true form, he thinks Hana would be afraid and leave him, but she didn't. She sees his true heart through his appearance and still loves him. There nothing wrong with a human in love with a werewolf, some things are just different. This film released while I was still in high school so I showed it to my Anime club. The teacher who sponsored it liked it but I will always remember her questioning "Why did they have to do it while he was a wolf tho?!" lmao Didn't even cross my mind it might be weird to her.

I MISS this movie it was one of my first introductions into anime and it was one of the greatest intros the chachters whernt overly animeified just perfectly inbetween the realms of human and anime and it looks beautiful sadly you have to pay to watch it now

Beautiful scene but everyone seems focused on the last part. Who says he stays wolf the entire time? He COULD have changed back as he can do it at will. Who says they had sex? They COULD have just cuddled. My point is that it is whatever you make it to be so those of you saying it's disturbing and beastly etc....IT'S IN YOUR HEAD!! It ended at a point to where you can imagine the rest for yourself and some of you imagined some really dark scenarios I guess...
And what makes Vastra/Jenny on Doctor Who, characters on Bojack Horseman especially Charolette whom is a deer woman married to a human man no different?
they had beautiful furry sex, she was preggers with doggo human babies afterwards that’s literally what the title of the movie is about, their wolf children

it's like "Beauty and the Beast" cause I'm sure he always thought "who could ever learn to love a wolf?" but Hana did, she learned to accept him for what he was, even if he was an animal she still loved him, just like the way Belle loved the Beast

I remember I stlil think one of the best episodes ever was the one with the snow and when I heard all the innuendos between these i thought HM ok it might just be fan interpretation. but when they really ended up together i was like OMG WHEEE XD

Ah I loved this movie so much I still do but the moment he died my heart was crushed! And then her son leaves to live in the Forrest and her daughter doesn't like her wolf blood it's a sad movie up till the very end!

She sees his true heart through his appearance and still loves him. There nothing wrong with a human in love with a werewolf, some things are just different. This film released while I was still in high school so I showed it to my Anime club. The teacher who sponsored it liked it but I will always remember her questioning "Why did they have to do it while he was a wolf tho?!" lmao Didn't even cross my mind it might be weird to her.
