Hi Scott I used this technique on my Twintec S3- 800 which had around 10 inches of water in the salt chambers and it worked! Thank you Soooooo much! Engineers can’t come out due to covid and we’ve had hard water for two weeks inc the drinking water tap and it’s been hell!
Thank you for taking the time to share. I will make a Harvey's regeneration video soon... It is the same principle. As you have already worked out. ALL of the Harvey machines are the same as each other. Thanks again, Scott
@@scottjenkinswatersofteners1643 Hi Scott Happy New Year! Just looked in the chambers and all the salt has gone in four days and the 10 inches of water is back! I’m regenerating it now Any advice? Thanks Jazz
@@jaswinderupaul1810 Happy new year to you too. Sorry to hear you are still having trouble. It it is clear that the leak is coming from within the water softener cabinet. Please get in touch www.sjwatersofteners.co.uk/contact/ and I will do my best to help. Regards, Scott
6-20-2021, Hi. I have a K-50 Kinetico softener that has not been coming on and water is staying hard. It's always worked fine before and is about 20 years old. It has been like this for about 30 days. I did not run out of salt. There does not appear to be a salt bridge/dam either. I turned on a cold bath faucet full open and the #6 gear I have clicks clicks once clockwise (to the right) about every 25 seconds...so it's measuring water and turning. I manually turned the top-side dial Phillips screw clockwise, 360 degrees 3 or 4 times, very, very, very slowly, with the screw depressed and not depressed, and a Brine cycle never kicks on at any point. It turns freely either way, clockwise and counterclockwise, whether the screw is depressed or not. But when the screw is depressed, it will stop at the 6-o'clock position and I have to release it and turn it a little past that point not-depressed to allow it to be depressed again. What is the issue? Everything seems to be working on the top end. Thanks!
Assuming the softener is not using salt. It sounds like you may need to be a little more forceful on the turning whilst depressing on the manual regeneration. If this works be sure the water level goes down in the brine tank. If not, remove the top where the manual regeneration is located and check for a snapped lever which may be jamming the process
@@scottjenkinswatersofteners1643 ok I got it to regen by continuing to click past the point where the depressed dial was hitting resistance. I just wasn't doing it right. I did two regens over a course of an hour. Water is still hard though. I'm going to check if there's a salt clog and use hot water to help break any up. Luckily there's only about 3" of salt in the bottom. If that doesn't work I'm going to use Iron Away or similar product to rinse off the resin beads better. Maybe they're too coated with hardness? I don't have high iron but I do have high dissolved solids in my clean looking well water, like 950 ppm.
Hi there, we have kineticon2020 I just started again as the salt wasn't running on the system. But is it normal that the water at the bottom of the box is brown? Can this be clean? Thanks. Natalia

@@thesetruths1404 Call kinetico to rebed it. if your brine tube has no suction, it could be a bad venturi valve too.

Why we have to repet twice?
to regenerate both tanks
how can we have the system auto regenerate?
Hi, I'm not sure what you mean?
Crikey! This bloke knows 'is Kinetico!
