I have installed a few FMF pipes. They should line up without modifying. Make sure when installing that all the bolts are finger tight and kinda wiggle the pipe and silencer into place then tighten. Sometimes on used bikes your brackets may have been bent slightly causing the pipes not to line up correctly.
Ok so I bought a fmf pipe for my 87 lt500 and male and female part don't slide together it goes on slightly then gets stuck I also have a dg silencer that's kinda broke but it fits in the fmf pipe perfectly any suggestions?
@@Leeroyspankinz did you keep all the bolts lose after you mounted front and back? Then tighten front to back.

I think you are totally overthinking this. I've never had a pipe crack from installation.
And yet look at the pipe I had before the video... Full of cracks
2:23 you pointed at the joint and said it's titanium. That part is stainless and it can be welded. The bodies are titanium, but the rest is stainless.

Seriously? Trim your silencer, not the pipe, or you’ll void the warranty, and get rid of that POS PIPE GARD. Geez, they make pipe guards you know?
Yes you can weld it, just use a tig.
Fmf pipes don’t crack regardless
I do this as well if it doesn’t line up perfectly.
Since you love that bike, it's worth the trouble & expense. Let us know if it changes your riding habits i.e. trying not to damage the new bits

I just tried to install an 2.1 fmf silencer and works fmf fatty on my 2021 beta 250RR and noticed holes weren't lining up well and the vibrations increased through my handlebars like crazy. think you might issue. as I just went back to stock until I could figure out what my issue was

sounds like a nod towards brand loyalty and competetor bias....are you sure you dont work for pro circuit??? because in my experience along with countless others< fmf pipes are extremely well built and durable and efficient thermally and longevity, just as pro circuits quality standards are just as good... if either comany didnt make an excellent pipe, one or the other wouldnt have achieved such prowess within the industry and success ..... you dont achieve global syndication and dominance without having a superior product and more ironically u cn create enemies along the way which is usually a propoganda induced smear campsaign to denounce and discredit the other competing brands,.....such as your remark u made is a good example....so realizing that freedom of speech is exersized in the form of consumer opinions, anyone is allowed to say anything theyu want......now wheter or not its true or relervant is a whole other issue....but all in all your statement i believe is rash, primitive, unrefined, and counter revolutionary.... Fmf wouldnt be here if it made sub par components....so the fact that you said u made a mistake by buying fmf is going to be widely viewed as a marginal, laughable statement that wont ever retain the gravity you wish to promote....and i believe your negative opinion is more than likely a sitution where you bought or inherited an fmf comonent that was used and abused whether it be a silencer or header pipe... if it cracked ..broke...dented easy etc...was most liely from user neglect and improper maintenance habits....since quality control at fmf as an industrial standard is just as thorough as pro circuit and other famous and important industries.... the chance that their product failed as a result of poor construction and the oversight for that construction can at times be compromised by human error...but im sure u know human error has slowly been exposed and designed out of the quality control process to a level of mechanical and compuatative excellence that only a machine could do without the potential human error that plagues companies at random and rarlery....so in conclusion, BOTH FMF AND PRO CIRCUIT ARE STAPLES IN THE OFF ROAD GLOBAL INDUSTRY AND BOTH PROVIDE A PRODUCT WITH EXTREME RELIABILITY, QUALITY COMPONENTRY, ERGONOMICAL AND THERMAL SUPERIORIORYITY , AND A DEDICATED TEAM OF PERSONEL AND EMPLOYEES AVAILABLE 24/7 FOR COSUMER ISSUES AND QUESTIONS WITH GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE POST PURCHASE SUPPORT...AND NO I DONT WORK FOR EITHER...JUST A AVID ENTHUSIAT WITH REAL THOUGHTS AND IDEAS GROUNDED IN RATIONAL INTELLECTUAL CONCEPTS THAT IN THE REAL WORLD, ARE MODERN AND APPLICABLE WITHOUT THE THREAT OF OBSELESCENSE AT EVERY CORNER
