Cartoon Network Commercials [March 5, 2008]

A batch of Cartoon Network commercials from early 2008, right in the midst of the great recession. Pretty sure that's why this was recorded to tape. Anyways, it's got quite the nostalgic helping of predatory advertising, including some late-G3 My Little Pony, a Spiderwick Chronicles Happy Meal promo, Zoobooks and little Barbie dogs you can squeeze the piss out of. Not joking.
I originally uploaded this last summer with a VCR I've since sold, and you don't know what I'm talking about it was my JVC HR-S7900U. It seemed great at first... until I learned of Panasonic decks. That's when the nearly $500 I spent on that JVC almost immediately went down the toilet. When I figured out I could get far better picture quality at a fraction of the cost that's how I knew I did something wrong.

Thank you for actually including some clips of the episodes most archive channels are too scare of copyright claims it’s more magical I need to find tapes my dad made from then the ones still intact at least

Lol I actually do it to show when the channel logo in the corner goes away and comes back in, but it does help provide a sense of scope for the order of commercials in the middle of the show

Why CN Thusday Nights exists:
"Guys, Fried Dynamite is FLOPPING, what should we do?"
"We'll just move our premeires to thursdays."
"'Kay."
Okay, I don't think that's exactly how it happened, but it's funny how they just moved premieres to thursdays outta nowhere at this point.

Around the same time, Fried Dynamite was mostly used to air movies and encores of the Thursday premieres. Talk about lost faith.
