MTV Spankin' New - I'm A Believer - Smash Mouth (from Shrek) [June 2001]

Gonna get copyrighted to hell for this but whatever.
Really cool tidbit I spotted at the end of a tape chock full of late-night television from the early 2000s, with a good chunk of it being June 2001 MTV! What really caught my interest was this "spankin' new" (highlights that MTV used to do with the latest music videos from the era) showing of the ending song of Shrek. Never thought I'd ever see this happen somehow, but here it is. The same network that brought you Beavis and Butt-Head along with The Real World.
What actually preceded all this summer 2001 MTV goodness was an episode of South Park taped in November 2002 (Lemmiwinks), followed by some more Comedy Central from June 2001 (The Man Show and Battlebots) followed by... very hardcore adult entertainment! It eventually leads into MTV following some channel surfing in the old Time Warner Cable UI. Really cool tape that was actually totally unlabeled when I first got it in an eBay lot. I'll look into getting more from this tape uploaded here soon, well, the safe for work stuff at least. 🤣
