After watching your video about a month ago, the very next day I order one. It is an amazing tool. I have purchased 3 additional mags. I will order 2 more in the near future.
2-5-19 I just received an email from HC Mags that the Tac Pacs are in stock again. Seems they keep selling out due to popularity, and they keep doing more production runs. Unfortunately sometimes the manufacturing delay can be a little long. They need to plan production runs when inventory gets down to a certain level to avoid the 'out of stock' situation. That disappoints buyers.
Great demo video!! I really enjoyed the extra tips that you added! I've been considering purchasing this kit and your review of the product helped me a lot!! Tom
For a simple mind this can be complicated, but what it’s designed for is great, when you just set there putting in a bullet at a time now these can be boring, this is great, I’m getting me 1, thanks for sharing this great information video 👍👍
I bought the tac pac. I do load the mag, the side of the mag and all the stripper clips then stage the clip loader for the next round AND go to the range. I find if I leave a round or two less then max on the clips that I have less problems loading though really my main problem with this is I only shoot every month or so and I just take a few clips to get back into the motion But when I'm in the groove it takes longer to set up targets after you've worn the centers out of the ones you have. The only times I have feed problems are when I have 19 or 20 in the clip, if that misfeeds, going through that little flip motion will stage all the rest and I have no feed problems. The biggest thing I like about this system is it doesn't bother my arthritis at all where feeding itty bitty 22's into a 10 or 25 magazine will leave my fingers sore for days. I did get one of those Butler Creek Speed loaders and that works really well too. So if you're going to go out and go through 500 rounds in one go, this really makes that easy. If you're just going out onto the back porch to plink some cans, BX25. Gonna go hunting, original 10 round mag works great. You know, I haven't tried one of those 50 round drum mags yet. Hmmmmmm
Thank you very much sir for your great video! I just got my hc3 tac pack in the mail yesterday. I haven't got the chance to try it out yet but I am hoping that it solves my reliability problems
Never seen this before. But as I just ordered the binary trigger for Ruger Charger 10/22, I'll need a way to load a lot of rounds fast and this seem perfect!
Reliability.... dig it. Ease of cleaning... dig it. More toys ... dig it. Nice job! Now, if they can get them back in stock. So if you have any idea.... or even prediction, that would be appreciated!
Just stumbled across your video. I really like this system, as it seems Very Thought Out and well designed. I actually paused your video 3/4 way thru to go and order me one. I loved your review and tutorial of the product as well. Great Job. Thanks a bunch for everything.
I am impressed, to say the least. I have a similar type loader for my 10 round clips for my Ruger Standard Model, Type Two pistol which is just as easy to load. Now, I have to look into this system for my rifle. Great video and info.
I’m curious as to why this limits itself to less than the magazine will hold and how can this be used at all for standard 10/22 magazines? Doesn’t seem compatible with magazines like the BX-25
Thank you! That has to do with the design and capacity limit of the stripper clips. A new version is coming out soon and that may be addressed. I don't know for sure yet. I will be reviewing it when it comes out. Stay tuned!
Thanks! You're right! I was just thinking of that the other day. 😁 Great idea and thanks for sharing that! 👍😃 BTW, they are selling again. See store1.hcmags.com/
Thanks. Sorry to hear you had trouble with that. I hear from a lot of people that Gen II works well. Did you mention that to HC Mags see if they can give you a deal?
Great review and great magazine system! Got the GenII Tac-Pack and it's awesome, great for range days! Won't beat multiple mags for hunting but for the range this can't be beat!
I have had my system for several years now and don't use it much. HC had just started releasing the gen 2 right after I bought mine...They said they would send me the new gen but after several months of saying they would ship they never did....Very poor support as far as I am concerned...
I bought the full pack. Two of the holders didn't work... They sell them 5 for $20 , so their cost is probably $1.50 each. Instead of just sending me $3 worth of replacements, the wanted me to send pictures first.... FOR $3 WORTH of THEIR COST... on a $100 order. Customer Service...not.
I am also Very curious about the Rifle that you show towards the end. Can you tell me which Rifle this is? Did you purchase it as it is or What Modifications did you make to it? Also, any links to where you purchased the Parts / Accessories. Thanks a ton.
How long did it take you to get this after you ordered it i ordered over 1 month ago and still havent recieved my order, just curious if you had the same issues, this company just put something on their site about a delay, great wish i would have known before i ordered. I called to talk to customer service he said it is, i pictured a guy in his livingroom taking calls
That and I just think it is a good design for speed loading. As with anything, it takes a little getting used to. The original Ruger 10/22 mag is just hard to load for any volume. Then they came out with the BX 25, and Butler Creek replicated that, albeit poorly. I tried Butler Creek and gave them away. Nobody wanted to buy them from me. :-(
Gary Lundgren hehe, no one? As to that magazine, I do a lot of dirt crawling. The open side reminds me of that one WW I french machine gun that had same cutout and jammed a lot. Thoughts?
As I said in the video, it's a system for the range, not in the field hunting. I don't hunt myself. I just like shooting target. We have some competitions here. Thanks.
Thank you. I'm not sure how you are counting that as the speed loader only holds 100 rounds. The count that HCMags gives is including 100 in the speed loader. Thanks!
Wow! I was completely unaware of these until I stumbled upon your video while searching for a reliable BX25 mag loader. Thank you. I'll have to ask my son about that. He's only one I know that does any 3D printing. Is the material created durable enough for an ammo clip?
@@GarysOutdoors there are lots of different materials to 3D print with... most of them are quite durable to use for a clip... if you already have their magazine and just printed up a bunch of the clips to hold those rounds the durability wouldn't be that big of a deal since they're just used to scoop up the rounds and lock them to the back of the mag. if it breaks print up another one... that's the beauty of 3D printing.
@@GarysOutdoors The expensive part is the time. Most of the cheaper printers like mine (Ender-4) that currently costs $275 would probably take about 5 hours to print that stripper part in a good quality print and maybe cost about $3 in PETG filament. I'd like 10 to stick in a go bag loaded and ready, so while I'm surfing the web my printer prints away and it'd cost me $30. Not a bad deal, but that'd take a little over 6 days printing 8 hours a day, or since I never pause a print if it takes 5 hours each to print then I'd run it for 10 hours a day. My printer is pretty quiet, and if I had it set up in a back room I'd leave it to print while I sleep as well, but it's close to the bedroom so the little lady wouldn't want to hear it running in the middle of the night. The fastest (and pretty expensive) printers out there would take about 5 minutes to print the part and for about the same cost in materials.
I see. My son must have a cheaper one as he mostly makes RC parts. So yours cost about $3 ea. and from HCMAGS about $4 each. That 25% less! Good deal if you have the patience. 😃 Thanks!
'Magazine' is the correct nomenclature. I spent time in Vietnam in CuChi area at the 25th Infantry Division base camp. A lot there referred to them as 'Clips'. For me, either name works. Thanks!
