    After watching your video about a month ago, the very next day I order one.
    It is an amazing tool. I have purchased 3 additional mags.
    I will order 2 more in the near future.

    2-5-19 I just received an email from HC Mags that the Tac Pacs are in stock again. Seems they keep selling out due to popularity, and they keep doing more production runs. Unfortunately sometimes the manufacturing delay can be a little long. They need to plan production runs when inventory gets down to a certain level to avoid the 'out of stock' situation. That disappoints buyers.

    For a simple mind this can be complicated, but what it’s designed for is great, when you just set there putting in a bullet at a time now these can be boring, this is great, I’m getting me 1, thanks for sharing this great information video 👍👍

    I bought the tac pac. I do load the mag, the side of the mag and all the stripper clips then stage the clip loader for the next round AND go to the range. I find if I leave a round or two less then max on the clips that I have less problems loading though really my main problem with this is I only shoot every month or so and I just take a few clips to get back into the motion But when I'm in the groove it takes longer to set up targets after you've worn the centers out of the ones you have. The only times I have feed problems are when I have 19 or 20 in the clip, if that misfeeds, going through that little flip motion will stage all the rest and I have no feed problems.
    The biggest thing I like about this system is it doesn't bother my arthritis at all where feeding itty bitty 22's into a 10 or 25 magazine will leave my fingers sore for days. I did get one of those Butler Creek Speed loaders and that works really well too.
    So if you're going to go out and go through 500 rounds in one go, this really makes that easy. If you're just going out onto the back porch to plink some cans, BX25. Gonna go hunting, original 10 round mag works great. You know, I haven't tried one of those 50 round drum mags yet. Hmmmmmm

      Thanks! I agree that this system is more suited for perhaps competition shooting. As I said in the video, not for hunting or plinking. Thanks!

    I’m curious as to why this limits itself to less than the magazine will hold and how can this be used at all for standard 10/22 magazines? Doesn’t seem compatible with magazines like the BX-25

    • @GarysOutdoors
      @GarysOutdoors  3 роки тому +1

      Gary Lundgren is that due to the thumb assist on the mag??

    • @GarysOutdoors
      @GarysOutdoors  6 років тому +1

      That and I just think it is a good design for speed loading. As with anything, it takes a little getting used to. The original Ruger 10/22 mag is just hard to load for any volume. Then they came out with the BX 25, and Butler Creek replicated that, albeit poorly. I tried Butler Creek and gave them away. Nobody wanted to buy them from me. :-(

    should be possible to 3D print those stripper clips pretty easily.

    • @GarysOutdoors
      @GarysOutdoors  6 років тому

      Thank you. I'll have to ask my son about that. He's only one I know that does any 3D printing. Is the material created durable enough for an ammo clip?

    • @WillieStubbs
      @WillieStubbs 6 років тому

      @@GarysOutdoors there are lots of different materials to 3D print with... most of them are quite durable to use for a clip... if you already have their magazine and just printed up a bunch of the clips to hold those rounds the durability wouldn't be that big of a deal since they're just used to scoop up the rounds and lock them to the back of the mag. if it breaks print up another one... that's the beauty of 3D printing.

    • @GarysOutdoors
      @GarysOutdoors  6 років тому

      Thanks. I had the impression that 3D printing was expensive. ?? Maybe it's the machine?

    • @WillieStubbs
      @WillieStubbs 6 років тому

      @@GarysOutdoors The expensive part is the time. Most of the cheaper printers like mine (Ender-4) that currently costs $275 would probably take about 5 hours to print that stripper part in a good quality print and maybe cost about $3 in PETG filament. I'd like 10 to stick in a go bag loaded and ready, so while I'm surfing the web my printer prints away and it'd cost me $30. Not a bad deal, but that'd take a little over 6 days printing 8 hours a day, or since I never pause a print if it takes 5 hours each to print then I'd run it for 10 hours a day. My printer is pretty quiet, and if I had it set up in a back room I'd leave it to print while I sleep as well, but it's close to the bedroom so the little lady wouldn't want to hear it running in the middle of the night. The fastest (and pretty expensive) printers out there would take about 5 minutes to print the part and for about the same cost in materials.

      I see. My son must have a cheaper one as he mostly makes RC parts. So yours cost about $3 ea. and from HCMAGS about $4 each. That 25% less! Good deal if you have the patience. 😃 Thanks!

      Are you talking about a clip or a magazine?

    • @GarysOutdoors
      @GarysOutdoors  4 роки тому +2

      'Magazine' is the correct nomenclature. I spent time in Vietnam in CuChi area at the 25th Infantry Division base camp. A lot there referred to them as 'Clips'. For me, either name works. Thanks!

    another tip: after paying $85.00 for that foam contraption, why dont you people DO THAT MODIFICATION YOURSELVES and thereby ship a FULLY FINNISHED PRODUCT, instead of a Mickey Mouse product that is not completely finnished...

    The jumpcuts are very obvious and really take me out of the video, I'd rather have you stumble on your words every now and then then jumpcuts, but that's just me. Otherwise nice video seemed well-informed.
