    Agreed on blinds. I have often thought bottom to top makes more sense. 😊

    Another Great Video.. As a Cali Ocean T6.1 owner I have looked at quite a few variations of Campervan,as yet I still have Not found anything that I would consider changing it for..Including this.. Looking forward to your next video…Well done.

      Thank you.
      We loved our T5 California but like our CMC HemBil Urban even more! (we like the wider bed and 3 rear seatbelts, especially)

    Great looking camper van. I'd also consider the swift trekker x. More room and a shower toilet. Sa.e money . Great video

      The Trekker is bigger (esp taller), so less practical as a daily driver. You pay your money and take your choice...

    Nice to see long beds.
    Was so disappointed at the NEC I’m 6ft 1 & hardly any of the VW offerings had beds for taller people.

      Nice big bed in my CMC HemBil Urban - both longer and wider than most. See my review here - www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/reviews/campervans/cmc-hembil-urban-long-term-test-2024-update

    Very nice one. I appreciate the possibility to store the portapotti, though they put it roughly 10cm above floor which will not ease its storage after use. The thing is that it is now nearly as expansive as the VW California. There are less and less affordable options on the market, that's a pitty.
    Thanks for the presentation, which is excellent as always.

      I'm not sure what's uncomfortable? Lots of folk (me included) love owning campervans like this.
      And is it expensive compared with many SUVs at similar money, or more?
      Thanks for the thumbs up - always appreciated!

    Nice van but I can't see how it is more than £13,000 more than a panama p12 given that that van has automatic transmission as standard and an inverter

    • @zimpon
      @zimpon 2 місяці тому +1

      I was just thinking the same thing, just watched the Panama review, to be honest, I actually preferred the Panama.
      The fridge, the loo, the tambour doors, interior lighting, the table, darker tint on the windows, automatic gearbox and finally, the seats are way nicer in the Panama.

    Mmmm, what about the premature wear and potential failure of the timing belt that runs inside the engine, lubricated by oil in the EcoBlue Diesel, 2.0L EcoBlue Diesel, and the 2.2L TDCi Diesel engines? I've read of some owners needing a third engine at as little as 80k miles. The new VW uses the same engine (apparently) which will put off many potential buyers.

    • @MotorhomeCampervan
      @MotorhomeCampervan  2 місяці тому

      Yes, new VW Transporter uses the same engine. Engine problems seem mostly to be down to oil not being changed frequently enough

    Quite surprised to learn this is only 2cm narrower than a Ducato. Converters should take it as an opportunity to offer a more "PVC like" fixed rear transverse bed layout. This would free up so much space upfront and give bigger storage volume. A couple of French converters already offer that kind of layout. Anyway, excellent presentation as always Peter.

    • @MotorhomeCampervan
      @MotorhomeCampervan  2 місяці тому

      With the internal width available, a transverse bed in this van would be VERY short - I'm guessing about 5ft or even less

    • @travelcampervansandmore
      @travelcampervansandmore 2 місяці тому +1

      @@MotorhomeCampervan Disappointed with your answer Peter. In this country we don't think enough "out of the box" which is why foreign products are generally superior. Those French convertors use extensions of the type seen on Sprinters and Transits.

    • @MotorhomeCampervan
      @MotorhomeCampervan  2 місяці тому

      @@travelcampervansandmore Yes, I've seen them. Interestingly (tellingly?), Font Vendome no longer do this type of layouts. The ones I've seen have very small beds, so I can't see them selling in sufficient numbers here. But I too like to see something different, that's why I'm excited about Mega Mobil coming to the UK

      @@MotorhomeCampervan The best one (and original) is the Stylevan Equinox 2. Proper loo, outside and inside shower, instant hot water, insulated pop top, all in a game changing layout. Stylevan is part of Groupe Rapido.

    • @MotorhomeCampervan
      @MotorhomeCampervan  2 місяці тому
