Just got a BVM-A20F1M and I was wondering how to fix the picture. After isolating the issue down to degaussing, your video was very helpful. It's a shame you can't find good documentations for this so readily these days. Thanks for the demonstration!
I always wondered what to do in such a situation as that. I always assumed magnets were things the makers of those TV's had never thought about or something. Cool
Hi there, I am thinking of purchasing one of these units from the USA and I am also located in the UK, what is the wattage of step-down converter are you using???
Your vids are inspiring (me to do some DIYS fixes to me apt). Love the bakelite stuff. You'd make a killing customizing retro consoles for people here in the States (though watching your vids, I'm guessing that's not your MO).
The dance of the degaussing :) Helpful vid bro! Do you know anything about built in degaussing in CRT monitors? I could swear I had an old monitor that had it built in back in 2000-2004
+CPS2 I might like technology and know some niche things, but CRT was probably before my time. Got my first LCD panel when I was about 16 and never looked back. Learned some benefits of CRT, like better colour reproduction many years later, as part of photography theory. But I think at this point LCD actually caught up as well.
Hi mate I've just got a pvm it's got a nice bit of purple down one side. Trying to find a degausing ring but havn't had any luck would you mind throwing the link up if it's to hand cheers.
Thought all CRT sets had their own thyristor controlled degaussing circuit built in. It's that thump you hear everytime you switch on. If it does have one you can see the degaussing coil wrapped around the CRT toward the front.
you have been complaining about focus since i watched your custom N64 Vid years ago HAHA! one day you will have those stable shots you desire d: glad to see you uploading more! THIS is youtube content i want to see rather then what new youtubers put out(not all)
I was unable to find a way to contact you properly. Your modified Nintendo 64 video has it's comments disabled, presumably because it looks fantastic and you get a lot of questions about it that are repetitive. I would like to ask you, if you can find it in your heart to reply, exactly what cream and gloss gold paint did you use on this work of art?
Perhaps adding a frequently asked questions section in the video description. I was more interested in the gloss gold to be honest, could you please tell me the type? :)
There already is one. It's been there from day 1. People just don't read it (and neither did you. lol) Crackle Touch is a 2 part paint. The gold and the top is part of the same product.
Yo CPS2, it's Domhnall from R, I just wanted to tell you I've been looking at your videos and they're great! I've told Jesus about it and he loves it too! Keep going, mate, it's excellent!
It looks like your performing an exorcism on the tv with made up "Ghost Hunter" equipment.
"The power of Christ compels you!" lol
I could honestly listen to you say anything about anything. That your videos are interesting is a bonus.
"If you smell burning peanuts... you know you fucked it up" 😂😂

You're welcome, bud :-)
Really like your content, it's simple but good. You should post more often!
That was awesome! Thanks for that!!
And also hope to see more vids!

Got a PVM 2053MD myself. I'm pretty sure at this point that you're a long lost brother or something, we have the exact same tastes and interests.
+hosserUK
Haha. Great minds think alike, man :-)
Hi there, I am thinking of purchasing one of these units from the USA and I am also located in the UK, what is the wattage of step-down converter are you using???
+James Drummond Hi. I just checked and it's 150 watts

+James Miner Thanks for watching, man :-) Yeah I just mod stuff when inspiration hits. That N64 was 2 years ago now though.
Welcome back. Nice tip.
+Sinan Kargı
Thanks dude!
That Definitely Looks pretty Handy. Also, Welcome Back....even though I was a little bit late
Thanks man.
+CPS2 No prob. Take your time and hopefully you'll wow us with something Amazing
Do you use your AKG D11 microphone to record videos?
That would be cool!
no more uploads??

Helpful vid bro!
Do you know anything about built in degaussing in CRT monitors? I could swear I had an old monitor that had it built in back in 2000-2004
+Ninjaximus Yeah man some monitors had coils built in. Not little ones like this though.
*****
Nah, they both do the same thing after all.
Wow, that's cool. Never heard of such a thing!
+Shadowstray
I'm astonished that you didn't know about this!
I thought you were Mr. Technology ;-)

+Shadowstray An arcade with an LCD monitor is a downright sin.
@cps2 have you made any N64s that are for sell?
I'm afraid not, bud.
CPS2 that sucks. I'm sure you could make a lot of money selling those.
Hi mate I've just got a pvm it's got a nice bit of purple down one side. Trying to find a degausing ring but havn't had any luck would you mind throwing the link up if it's to hand cheers.
+sirico Just search ebay for degaussing coil, man. There are loads.
This looks like witchcraft honestly
I love your videos, however you havn't posted in a while! Where are you?

+MickeyDJ1 Nope. Not this one.
And some Trinitron CRTs, particularly FD Trinitron and HR Trinitron, actually have permanent magnets placed in certain spots to help with convergence.
nice vid, an i just saw your modded n64 do you still have it?! =)
+CerebrumDisciple Thanks man, yeah I still have it :-) Not being used at the moment though.
Excellent video! I have the same little Sony monitor but I've lost it in my loft! It's that's small I've misplaced the bugger :-(
+GRUSS Newton Lol, it fell through the cracks :-)
more videos please !!!

Exactly. I answered questions about it for 2 years then thought enough is enough. lol
The paint I used is called Plasti Kote Crackle Touch.
Perhaps adding a frequently asked questions section in the video description. I was more interested in the gloss gold to be honest, could you please tell me the type? :)

I didn't read it, thanks for answering my questions.
Please make more videos!

Glad you like the vids, man. :-)
