- Great game! Give it a whirl!
As of this time, this is still the only way to play any of the games in this series in English. Go N64!
I forgot to mention that there are numerous unlockables, like new trains and routes. See the translated manual below for more info.

Setup used in this video:
Japanese console with N64RGB board installed - RGB SCART cable - OSSC - Розваги
There's something oddly special about finding out about old games in genres you didn't know ever made it on their console. Stuff like train and road travel sims feel like this mostly fundamentally modern PC indie-ish thing, but here we are with an N64 take on the idea, custom controller and everything. Kinda surreal, and *very* cool.
Yeah I agree, bud! I had no idea about this series at all before a couple of years ago, and it's been running since the mid 90s. Lol
Hey, you're still posting. I remember seeing your N64 video back in the day. Watched it again the other day because it popped up. Also some of the controller LED mods and what not. Very impressive stuff mate!
It just so happens I went on a bit of a buying spree a few months back and picked up the big box of this game as well as that controller. I really enjoy it. Definitely very challenging! Because I don't have a flash cart; I just google translated all of the menus and alerts until I understood the game well enough to play. The English translation looks good, though.
Already enough good English translations out there to justify the flash cart but, I keep buying other original hardware/software when I have the money LOL
Good catch. It's surprising how much fun it is. Lol.
It just doesn't sound like something I would ever be into. 😂
@@CPS2 yeah I never thought so either. I was/am on a bit of a mission to collect all the JP big box games and odd peripherals so, I had to get this, too. Glad I did!

That sounds like a good mission. 😊
Another Japanese exclusive that has it's own peripheral is Nushi Tsuri 64. A fishing RPG.
I really wish someone would make a translation for this...
@@CPS2 yeah, i got the fishing controller and Bass Fishing No. 1. I thought it was exclusive to that game but I guess it works with a couple of the fishing games

Bassmasters 2000 is an awesome game.
My favourite fishing game ever, and on the N64.

Great video as always!! Cool shoes as well 😆 let's have a top 20 games ever of yours please! 🎮
Bonjour.... nice kit! Soon you could charge the general public an admission fee to view your retro museum!
Haha! Maybe after the covid has all gone :-)
seems pretty relaxing, might have to pick one of those train controls up would look nice next to my ace combat flight stick
Definitely a good talking point as well as a controller.
7:41 - "Tetsu!"
There's a been a few Game Center CX episodes about this, looks real fun, I've gotta pick up a controller one day!
Yeah it's worth it I think :-)
Surely a game(+controller) I am going to search for when I finally go to japan, if this pandemic can end, someday.
There is a bunch of games like that I wanna get and potentially figures too.
Oh man. Japan is like candy land for old games stuff I bet!
Just recently bought this set-up! Anyway you could explain/make a video on how you play it in english?? TYIA
Where do you download the English rom?
I see you're lacking a ROM that might be useful on your N64 collection (Piko Interactive's 2019 final build of 40 Winks), I wonder if you have a dump of the elusive Wideboy 64 AGB cause I would be willing to trade ROMs, I'm looking for that ROM or BIOS to make a custom Wideboy 64 AGB for selling in the future... Thanks in advance!
The Wide-Boy 64 AGB is not software or emulation, it's hardware.
There is no ROM to dump. It contains all of the major components of a Gameboy Advance.
do you do most business online, or any street shopping?
At the moment I only go out for work or food shopping. Everything else I do online.
Awful....just Awful.
If you were the real Sam Smith, you'd know all about awful 😉
