Gracee Pitchford You can cut down wood or even the panels used for cages and cover it in fleece, just make sure it’s not to steep and that something protects the edges so the piggies don’t fall! 😊
Do you wash the fleece blankets and beds? I can’t bring myself to throw them in the washing machine and I can’t buy a new blanket each time. I am using bedding now but I think fleece blankets would be less messy.
Love it but it is not good for guinea pigs to have access to newspapers, because they have ink on them. So you can use them as long as they can’t reach them, put the news paper under some fleece or just use another product Sorry had to say that, but I love it

They have 3 chews, which I switch out weekly. That okay? They have a food/hay dispenser, and two water bottles. They also have a litter pan. I use fleece, and spot clean everyday and full clean once a week. That good? I hold them nightly, for about 30 minutes, and give them floor time every so often. They have hay 24/7 and feed twoce a day, 1/5 a cup per time. I would also like tips on how to keep my room smelling better, so any tips?
I know you commented this a month ago, but if you use fleece you should spot clean it everyday (clean out poops/hay) and completely take it out and wash at least once a week :)

So I just bribed them with food but since that didn't work for you, I would maybe try picking them up and placing them on the second floor so that they need to get down but I would recommend to try the food method :)
What kind of hay do you use? My guinea pigs don't seem super thrilled with Kaytee hay. I love in Alaska so trying not to spend a fortune on shipping which is difficult.
Guinea pigs are supposed to drink water from a water bottle. But you'd have to teach them. Most guinea pigs already know how to use it if they used it at the shelter, adoption center or store you got them from. But if you're piggies are fine with a water bowl than that's fine. The only thing is that the water will get dirty with dust and hay falling into it. Maybe your guinea pigs were drinking out of a bowl at the place you got them from and that's why they know how to use a water bowl.

When you wash their water bowl, maybe have a small fish net by the sink, pour the dirty water through the net, that way you save your drains. Enjoyable video, by the way.

The white stuff at the bottom of the cage is called coroplast.You can find it at most hardware stores like HomeDepot.And yes you have to wash the fleece,but fleece liners would be easier.
I clean my 2 girls completely like this once a week. But they are litter trained for their poos, not quite with their wees yet lol. I usually just clean the litter box every day or two and swap pee pads that I have in their beds/ hides. I guess it depends on the pigs, mine are quite neat.

Another good tip is too put all their poos into the spot you want them to go.That way they smell their scent there and also don’t change the one spot out for a week.Hope this helps!
Be careful with puppy pee pads. I was going ok using them for awhile, then i got a new piggie that somehow got underneath the fleece and started eating the pee pads. She got an impaction of her stomach and passed away.

Get a litter tray and fill it with hay, they will sit in the tray and poo at the same time. They will tend to poo as the wee😁
