I remember being in the hospital after a minor operation and my dad bringing me a Tonka Wrecker. I think mine was all white, but who knows after 62 years! Thanks for the memories!
A truly "Amazing Restoration". A lot of work by you, but it was a job well done 👍 The tow truck was in very sad shape at the start, but Wow! it looked better than new when you were finished. I enjoyed the ending when the restored tow truck was put to use 😊 Awesome video! Lots of fun! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
Great restoration, but how come you didn't show any of the metal repair work on the cab? Or any of the pitting repair and wet sanding? Would of liked to have seen that...
I bought replacement parts, the cab, the grill and four wheels covers, There was a subtitle at the end of the sandblasting. Thank you for the comment 👍👍
You know that because using powder coating instead of spray paint I wasn’t sure to repair the cab, if I used spray paint that would be easy to fill pits.
Nice work..it was pretty crusty! Actually located a '54 cab, knew '55, 56, 57 were available! TRIVIA: 1954 was only year to use brass bushings in rubber tires.
You've been watching too much of that emanated robot movie cuz that's the way I can figure you out when you do the little things on these toys laugh out loud so you're very entertaining and I enjoy your videos keep up the good work there bro
Well done, sir. And good thinking using the Lab Metal filler. It really makes a difference. Where did the 2 guys at the end come from? Are they old G.I. Joes or something similar?
Beauty! From a wreck to a wrecker. All ready to haul in some more wrecks to restore!
Thank you for your compliment and comment!👍👍🎉

How did you replace the right cowl brace part of the cabin?
I think I used new part the whole cab, sorry for the delaying response.
Where in the world did you find the decals
Check the website www.gasolinealleytoys.com/😊
is the wrecker body painted white available
I think there was no white body in 1954, from 1956 the company produced white wrecker
Just discovered your channel & I'm working my way through your work. Do you keep what you restore or sell them?
Both! I‘ll sell some of them, now on eBay I am selling Tonka boat service truck with trailer. Thank you!👍👍🎉🎉😄
Where do you find these?
Most of them bought on Ebay and Facebook, this Tonka wrecker found in Facebook
Where do you find these?
Sorry for the delay to respond, the toy found from FB market place.
