    Great video. Am I mistaken, or is it actually a protein called Artemis, not RAG, that makes the random single-stranded nick to open the hairpin?

    Amazing lecture.
    But I have a dumb question. At 13:37 there are no junctional diversity segments between the J and the C. Why not? If you selected HC J6 then it makes sense that there's no junctional diversity since J6 and the constant region are contiguous. But what about J regions non contiguous with the constant region? Or does the RNA polymerase know only to translate the first encountered J region?
