@@missfunerella a good surgeon that is also a psychopath so they don't get mood debuffs from harvesting organs. The other colonist might get mood debuffs from that as well but based how much money you'll be getting might be worth it. Personally I just sell Flako and Yayo and Corn.
Lore-wise, dirtmoles and every other xenotype are actually human. I think it's like a brave new world type thing, with a few hundred or a thousand years or so of unsupervised development post some sort of collapse on top of that? With small remnants of whatever empire did all this sticking around? Rimworld's setting is quietly and vaguely dystopian like that.

Along with drug empires, this sort of play-style is a stepping stone to learning more advanced features of the game, trying out mods, etc. It also makes some people believe they found a way to break the game. In reality, it is just the easiest way to ensure consistent income and resource supply while trying out more difficult challenges.
I agree, but feel as if everyone should attempt to reach an end game scenario before heavily modding. However, when modding, I would always recommend almost the entire Vanilla Expanded catalogue.
