Great video! You are completely correct on your take on the Carrera 4. I owned a great 993 4S ..but I preferred the C2 for driving.(I’m on my 4th 993). The 4S was a most beautiful car…but was heavier a bit slower & and slightly less fun from a drivers perspective. Still…the 993’s are each & every one amazing cars. For sure values have & will continue to appreciate for years. Keep the videos coming!
pouring over classifieds for 993. its got it all and you don't have to be smashing it over 100mph for a load of enjoyment. id get the paint detailed looking tip-top and then a ppf so its kept perfect from all the stone chips and crap kicking off the roads. then drive it all over. a handheld gimble for the recording device might be a worthwhile investment
Lovely video. Very nice info about your 993. That makes me think if i should get one. Im more of a classic car guy and i would never part with my '73 Carrera RSR. Keep your videos coming.
+1. .. Luv the Slate Grey metallic finish. .. The early 993 production years ( N. American spec.) offered Slate Grey as a Tier 1 metallic paint option. .. Sadly for MY98 Slate Grey metallic became a prohibitively priced Tier II option w/ a delay. .. Not too worry, I'd order an Arctic Silver metallic Carrera S ... Still in my garage!
I love the car. Best looking 911 ever without a doubt. Great color. However it would look even better with orange turn signals. Those clear ones are so tired and out of place especially when you have oranges on the fenders.
Great review. thanks. I am looking around for my first Porsche and have decided it has to be a 993. But then I see the Singer (but I don’t have the money) and the 964 restomods you can get. But your point around quality (creaminess) is a great one. I need to drive one and decide 😂
Hi enjoyed the video. I really fancy a 993 but wouldn't want to give up my Cayman either. I haven't seen many around 40, so worry by time I've got the cash i'll be too late.
Man I was trying to stay away from these and now you’ve poisoned me hahaha. I’ve driven a few 993 and owned a 964 C2 an SC and a 996 C4S. I actually would go back to a c2 purest and most rewarding driving
Its not, 993 is the best looking and driving air cooled car by far, prrrrr try it out Pablo if you get the chance. 993 is so much improved over the 964 the poorest design after the 2.7 liter cars as Porsche went almost under. Only thanks to Singer the 964 re gained pop., regular 964 owners its not even close to the Singer design and performance.
@@leonardoluc6362 yes i definitely appreciate the improvements of the 993 over 964 I was referring to a preference for the rear wheel drive versions over 4 wheel drive for any of the models
I have two 993s and I still go through UA-cam looking at videos of them when I’m not driving them…. Awesome car, keep the content coming!
With so few to go around that’s just being greedy ;) … health to enjoy them both, happy to keep one of them warm for you 😊

What a lovely car, and a great review. I need a 993 in my life!

Your camera angle demonstrates one of the “soft virtues” of the car, and that is the exceptional outward vision.

That’s the way the car left the factory.
@@franknutt1876 Yeah. I think the US cars came that way. EU cars had all oranges.

Thanks Wallingford, thank you appreciate the nice comment! Go with the one that you prefer to look at most as that’s what you’ll enjoy doing most 😃
Hi there, just stumbled across the channel, I have an aventura green 993 C2 myself and would love to meet up for a drive, based in Nottingham...
Hi James, I had to reach over to turn the volume up in my 718 x
Slightly further to reach in these old ones but yeh good point not sure why I made a deal out of it x
@@nuttsoncars2710 keep up the great videos, love you x

Keep an eye on collecting cars website, a lovely iris blue example just sold on there for £40.250

“Marble” grey. Not slate!
993’s had “classic” grey or the lighter “marble” grey leather colours.

993 is a restomob 911 done by Porsche. What’s not to like.
Agreed!
