I Heard that in this period he wrote few songs for his friend vincent galot' movie "brown bunny" this one have to be in this movie but it never happened ;) john said that in an itw !
Late reply but at a guess he has taken a sample from the virtual analogue drum sounds on the Nord Lead 2 keyboard he owned and put it into his MPC 3000. This is a guess from the photos taken the second time he lived in the Chateau Marmont during this period.
@@nik_ilic Totally I could do that if I wanted to but I'm more interested in where John came up with that little percussive fill, or if anyone else hears something familiar in it. Can't quite get it, it's right on the tip of my ear...

@@poxahigor They're both amazing. One is not "better" than the other. I do miss this style of solo work. Not a huge fan of his solo computer era of the last 10-15 years or so
