Thanks for posting this. I hadn't had any luck finding footage of Irvin "Rip" Smith before this. Smith was an early tag team partner for Ted DiBiase, and I've heard DiBiase credited Smith as the person he credited his power slam after. Smith also used the figure-four as a finisher.

@@VolumedMusicManUnlikely. Funk's opponent and the referee were both based in Florida. Another comment pegs this as part of Fred Ward's South Georgia TV tapings. Solie was likely brought in to announce because this tape was sent to NWA territories in advance of Funk's title defenses.
great footage
I did not remember Solie every being the desk man at the Downtown Sports Arena in Columbus. So used to seeing Jim Carlile at the desk, but Jim was only the ring announcer for this match. Good memories of occasionally being at 1028 Front Avenue on Saturday afternoons.
