Not trying to back-seat game or anything, but thought this tip might help some. In the arena, you can heal your unit up to two times by pressing X. It isn’t explained very well, and I believe it took me a while to realize that too.
it's also embarrassing to me how I didn't know that ZL allows you to use Divine Pulse mid-battle, so I only used it when I lost. I just thought of that when he missed out talking to Rodrigue; I wouldn't mind much if I used one to go back to talk to Rodrigue, unless if I had just a few divine pulses.
If it makes you feel better, Dancers are very useful, but its very possible to beat the Game Dancerless In fact: i completely missed the White Heron Cup in my playthrough
You can heal the units inbetween rounds (it says so on the bottom, I didn’t notice til like my third play through). Also since you got Felix you better get Annette too. My heart cannot handle them being apart

Along with Annette you think he should also get Sylvain? He was pretty great in both my Blue Lions and Golden Deer run, but is he hard to recruit when you’re Male Byleth? He’s also another awesome character overall 😆

I've been really enjoying your playthrough for this game, especially with all your commentary! :) 25:46 was funneeee 😂and your note on 31:25 was also great and interesting 🙂 I'm hesitant to give tips despite finishing the game twice so far, I just feel like others are better and can explain better than me, but one thing I wanted to note: It's great that you're doing fine, but I would *highly* recommend to turn on the 'danger area' mode to be cautious if you don't want a certain unit to get hit or have a unit get attacked by too many enemies. When I play, I highlight enemies that are distant to keep in check how much I want my units to move Also nice job recruiting Felix! Aside him being my favorite character, I think he does an awesome job at carrying the team! One random comment I have is that I've heard that you shouldn't give him the Mortal Savant class where he can use magic, but he seemed fine at least to me in my Golden Deer run, but currently I'm keeping him at a swordmaster class in my Black Eagles playthrough. But I think you can decide whatever class he should have. Real excited to see more of your videos and hope you're enjoying the game! 🙃

Dang I never knew you could lose the dance competition! - In my first Blue Lions playthrough, I had Felix win the competition just for fun, but I forgot to reclass him the whole time, but I didn't care much - Stuck in a Silver Snow playthrough but I got Ferdinand as the dancer haha - Somehow missed out the dance competition completely in my Golden Deer playthrough but I don't know who I would have picked. - Literally 50% in Crimson Flower currently and I just got Marianne as my dancer :) I'd say you can re-do the dance competition if you want to, but I was fine without it.
thnik my first dancer was annette. because i recruited her and mercedes to the golden deer cast but 4 mages in an 8 man squad, i kept it low cause that s what disgaea taught me, was a bit much
25:36 it seems green units are coded to NEVER be able to actually kill a boss. thats why the guy lives this. you can see in the battle forecast that you were meant to do 21x3 so DEATH levels of damage. Cathrine back in the fog chapter and Jeralt in the Prologue have the same issue.
its impressive how far lysethea got without the heals (you can heal between rounds. its easy to overlook since its just a button at the bottom of the screen i tend to overlook those in games alot
I personally don't like his Japanese voice so much 😅 sounds pretty old while his English voice sounds closer to his age. His Japanese voice even sounds more stern in his support conversations with Annette, which really surprised me haha
@@adhama4811 nah it is always based on the stat. i just dont get how he lost DESPITE having the stat. usually doing the training kicks charm to 15+ which is probably the safe zone maybe rng or something in the back code decides at 13. until now i didnt know that 13 would be a fail
the one time i trust the game to explain that you can talk to your chosen participant to get +5 charm and then the game DOESNT DO IT bruh fucking hell i wanted to hold back info cause i thought the game would bring that up but noooooooooo. im not cooking you xieltic. im cooking the game. (tho if your ignatz had way too low charm then it just wouldnt have worked. im unsure if manuella only tells you about the charm thing after you pick someone or also before. either way. having a dancer is nice, its NOT a requirement whatsoever. so dont worry too much about it.
She can tell you before you make a choice too, one or two other non-student characters tell you to go to her for info about the competition (I can't remember who) but it's easy to miss.
What surprised me is that pretty recently I made Marianne my dancer, and even without talking to her at all, she still won; guess she had enough charm 😆

enemy bosses sometimes have plot armor and have to be killed by byleth or his class.
allies will never kill boss enemies they will always stay at 1 hp that´s why they dealt no dmg at the end

Wo Dao is actually REALLY GOOD because of that crit rate. it is similar to the killing edge. which is also real good.
