I'm watching the Netflix series right now and what I don't believe is that her father only heard her sing for the first time halfway through her childhood. Although nowhere near her talent, I always loved to sing and was always singing something around our home from a very early age.
Selena was different from all the other icons. She never was selfish with her money and didn't over spend. She lived in a modest house. She didn't waste her money on yachts, expensive cars, and lavish homes. That makes her different from EVERYONE in show business. She was the only true humble celebrity!
She wasn't a world famous icon. She sang niche music Tejano....trust me had She lived and possibly had a cross over career ypu don't know what she would have done.
she had a mercedez benz & loved versace. her taste were refined & there was nothing wrong with that. she remained humble, yes. but she invested her money in the things she worked so hard for n deserved !

To think that all it took was for her to sing around her dad because she was jealous of AB getting to learn how to play the Bass. Makes you think about what Selena would’ve become had her dad not recognized her talent, or maybe she would’ve done music but not nearly explored her full potential due to a late start or what not.. Then it makes you wonder how many people in this world could be extraordinary in whatever they pursue but just can’t see the potential in themselves to work as long and hard as Selena and her family did to achieve greatness. I’m so glad she was able to be so great in the little time she had, an amazing person in general to top it all off

I literally wanna cry just knowing that she's my idol and sadly passed away🙁🕊she inspired me so much I LOVE HER I wish I can go back in time and just hug her and tell her how much I love her and how much she inspired me and everyone 😢 and her little dance is so cute and iconic lol!
