In this highly requested update video on my #60pSolarRGB aquarium, I recap what has happened before and how it was fixed with the heavy maintenance. Further, I talk about my routine since the heavy maintenance video and also introduce my new old fish for this scape.
Finally, I give a forecast on how I'm going to prepare this tank for the final shot and which modifications to the setup I have in mind.
Last but not least I need your help to find a proper name for this layout, so please - comment down below and let me know your name suggestions ;)

Another nice video my friend. Love these iwagumi layouts and the fact that this plant does not need to be trimmed frequently makes the whole thing even more exciting :)
Thanks for sharing. BTW i love the intro!
Great looking aquarium! Planted my first dry start today thanks to your video.
regular DSM or my lazy version?
I used the regular version. After planting I was researching if I should mix a bit of ferts into the water. Thoughts?
Wow vielen vielen Dank !😊 Ich freue mich riesig! PS: Das war wieder ein echt tolles Video🙏🏻
there’s a lot to like about this build.
I love this scape! Great work!
Wow, this tank is soooooo beautiful, really great job, and really good video
thanks Olver
Nice update and congrats Jasmin 🎉🎊
For the name: BODHICITTA
bodhicitta. Literally "mind, heart or will of Awakening". The "desire of the heart" for all forms of life to reach enlightenment. This desire is not based on selfish impulses, but on compassion linked to a vision of the true nature of things.
Love this tank my friend
Sacred paradise!!
Nice peaceful looking tank, as for the name suggestion how about this: "Opposing Pinnacles".
Never used Monte Carlo (MC), but with HC it just seems to need a month or so before it's filling out the gaps between rocks in Iwagumi setups the problem is trimming it there. Is the problem with the MC that it doesn't handle low light as well as HC?
If that is the problem, wouldn't you need to increase the hight of the substrate between the rocks before planting, thus potentially changing the expression of the layout. As an alternative I would suggest adding smaller pieces of the black landscape to stop the shrimp digging there, as I'm not sure a thin line of MC between the two main rocks will look better than the aquascape is now.
If you can get the ADA light screen and is willing to pay the price for it, that would be so much better than just adding the film on the back of the aquarium. I don't know if you have seen James Starr-Marshall and what he have done with back lighting on his aquascapes but that is really nice and if you have time and like a bit of DIY that would make a nice video.
The scape reminds me of a single hill from a landscape type called rolling hills, just with some big boulders in it, so I would suggest "Black Rock Rolling Hill".
Congratulations to the winner.
May be you could call it the "lost islands" if you had back ground lighting as well hehe. I loots great what ever it is called Jurijs.
I think the "light screen" would be more suitable for this setting. this one would give more depth and accentuate the rendering of the stones. But that's just my opinion.
Love ember tetras the tank is amazing looking great video I hit the like button.
Beautiful tank Jurijs, I have two question that I hope you could answer, First: How do you keep your snails from climbing out of the tank? I have two that they always find a way out of the tank! Second, I have 7 Ember Tetras in my aquarium that are constantly chasing each other in an aggressive way, any advise? Thanks in advance.
Hi, Jurijs,
Two things,
First - a name. You have a set of twins (the two main stones are almost equal in size...), so why not call the scape 'Pollux and Castor', the two main stars in the Constellation Gemini?
Second - a suggestion: when you shoot photographs of the tank, put a whitescreen in front of the tank to take away the hard shadows on the front side of the rocks.
In the gap between the stones, I'd rather insert some hairgrass - makes a nice contrast to the carpet.
Cheers.
@@JurijsJutjajevs Lightroom and other post-processing programs make wonders. Just use your histogram.
It would be very nice with a video on aquarium photography post-processing. Please: one one video/UA-cam post-processing (for non-Macintosh's)
See You. ;-)
@@JurijsJutjajevs Most people who work in graphics, design and image processing and don't make their own computer, use Macintosh... It's no surprise you also use one. Apple has proprietary software for video editing to UA-cam, no problem there. It's the PC-users who are sometimes at a loss about which program to use (freeware isn't good and payware can be expensive...)
I'm looking forward to your video on editing and also all the other videos you publish.
About the video on recovery of the neglected tank - it's great! Perfect aquascapes are easy to maintain. But the average aquascaper has greater chance of having a tank like the one on this video, so it is VERY helpful to others (us, average aquarists...) to learn what do do with our 'normal' (neglected) aquascapes... Thank you for sharing this!
@@JurijsJutjajevs Yes, Adobe Lightroom. What do you use for editing videos?
Thx
Beautiful. How many hours do you use CO2 daily?
Very nice!!! I am doing this "sprinkle" method today. How did you "sprinkle" the Monte carlo?
Thanks for the quick reply. I did similar to mine. I hope it works for me. It is a great idea. I made a video so the guys at New Jersey Aquatic Gardeners Club could see what I was doing. We normally planted Monte Carlo. Thanks for the education. I made sure to give Art and yourself credit as well
alpine pastures is a good name for the aquaterrascape.
The ADA LED backscreen seems interesting.
Only 300 euro.
Yeah, that is the cost of my whole setup...again, ridiculous price for Ada stuff
And I'm not using it too much 🤦♂️ 😂
Hi Jurijs. How do you keep the rocks in such a good condition? There is no sign of algae on them. Have you got any cleaning routine dedicated for rocks?
Very nice
Another good video (:
Tank Name....Splendor in the Grass!!!
Hi jurijs nice scape I have Monte Carlo how far down should I trim it
Nice update. What about "twin peaks" for the name.
Going to try something very similar soon in a 45p do you think a skimmer is worth while ?
Please test out the ada screen. It sounds really interesting and would love to see it in action. As for the name I would call it "Monte negro" Which means black mountains in Spanish.
Possible name for this aquascape: Andes. Named after the Andes mountains of South America.
Over the hills and far away
Its beautiful. Which camera do you use?
Jurijs Jutjajevs Thanks 🙌
does monte carlo spred evenly to all over the space?
Yes
How about Ebony Peaks or Mount Ember?
Hi jurijs.Why armature stay high
Hi will the lazy dry start method work with Elatine hydropiper?
Never tried, let me know if you do
ADA screen is interesting.
Name:
Utopia
I suggest the name of the scape be “Tetra Valley”
I tried the dry start method after watching all your inspiring videos, and into my 2nd week after watching couple of other videos got into painting java moss (yoghurt method) on driftwood. Now I have white mould starting to show up in my driftwood alone. While it might be harmless, it's killing the looks. Please suggest a way to get rid of it?
Don’t ever use yoghurt, use soil for the moss mud mix. Now you can either wait or wipe off the dirt and make a new mix with soil. It’s up to you
and what type of stones you used? Thanks in advance

It does not have subtitles in Spanish :(
Greetings from Mexico
Ember creek
I'd call it "boring",it's nice but dull.
Name "over the hills"
Name for scape: Emberly
I would name it the hills are alive.
Or Run Lola Run

Why not.
