You would think corning would do drop test with real phones just like this and then keep improving the glass to where it actually holds up better ,then put whatever they make on the production phones. Seems their testing is flawed.
There should be a law forbidding glass backs on smartphones and tablets, those are only made to milk customers for repair costs and expensive maintenance plans !

This is one reason I lament the end of the Moto Z Force line. Unbreakable screen, and lord knows I've dropped my Z2 Force enough times to test it. Sure, it scratches easier, but nothing a screen protector doesn't fix. I've even removed the factory screen protector which has a tendency to start peeling after a while.

I dont know why or if its only me but something inside me saying that video is fake
These test are useless! Just killing time
Wait, so Samsung is increasing the price of their flagship phones and they can't even make it durable. What is the point of the high prices then? Imagine buying the S21 Ultra and it breaks the next day. This is unacceptable!!
it seems like phone manufacturers do not address this problem on purpose, so we ,after phone has cracked, buy new model phones.
Is there a reason you drop them on the front and back, but not on the edges?
Feel 😢😢 for those phone...
Anyone watching it from India here?
From srilanka , I can feel you 🤣
I got this phone a few weeks ago. 2 days after getting it, I accidentally dropped it on a door frame ONCE, and now the bottom portion is cracked :/
That's a really disappointing result on the first drop for what's meant to be the newest gorilla glass. And even worse at greater heights. Not very durable at all
Never have I a top tier galaxy that suffered after I dropped them, unlike the too trendy iPhone's I've seen and their propensity to break the glass
Waited for this video finally came to know the durability of Glass
And watching the drop test on My Gorgeous Black Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and after seeing this I am planning to put Case on my S21 Ultra
Do you use a screen protector?
Watch the PhoneBuff video they are more in depth
and surrounding it with bubble wrap.
@@mgsvw911 yes
@@travelcheersvlogs Do you have a link for me? I don’t find a good one
I just bought plus. I wish I have seen this video earlier. It is annoying this expensive phones breaks so easily. What is also annoying is your buying the phone also because of their looks, but now you have to cover it with guard. So ridiculous.
The note 20 ultra did wwwaaayyy better than this. Is it truly the victus glass????
On the second drop of the Galaxy S21 Ultra, oh man i've never hear the drop so loud before...
Is it that companies expect people to buy cases so they don't care about the screen? Or do they want the phones to be fragile so people gotta potentially buy more? Are Shatter proof screens more expensive? Its 2021, why dont we have shatter proof screens ?
I never put a case on any of my Galaxies since the S6 till my current S21 Ultra and never dropped them once, I guess I really have a magnetic hands😂
How about from your pocket
Or tripped the charging cable then it fall off
Watching on my s8 ...its been with me since last 4.5 years ...no lag of any kind....just a tiny spider web at one corner ...happened last month ...
I bought the ultra and it dropped 2 days later. Now i have to wait until Samsung repair is available for this model fml
But everyone says glass is more "premium"! And they want a grand for that? 😂😂😂
this! plastic is so much better than that.
who cares about what's more "premium"
I've been using $200 phones for years with a case and $5 screen protector, haven't broke one yet with hundreds of drops.
How many screen protectors you replaced ? 😁
the back glass of my 21 ultra smashed. was in a case too. looked exactly like the one on the screen- spiderwebs and cracks fanning from the corner
I wish they would put plastic screens and a glass screen protector. It would hold to drops and you can change the premium feeling screen protector
I had an outter box on my old phone for years never and cracks. I can't believe outter stop making this total box. Help
Did have S21 factory display foil? I'm just interested if display foil prevents broken glass.
That's not victus
The ultra is also significantly heavier, take that into consideration as well.
Seems fake. Why not show the phones straight away, could be easily switched.
My s9+ still going strong AF thought no cracks whatsoever
Fell like this is Staged all other videos S21 passes all durability tests and this is just unacceptable
Sheep
So did they remove the included screen protector?
Please ask Samsung why they put double sticker on my brand new s21 ultra box?! Did they used it before sending to customers ? ! Ridiculous …
I bought a s21 still renewed/refurbished. Under $275
I think you guys staged this test..... every other drop test I’ve seen the phones have performed better.. shock horror that you guys are both using Apple products. 🤣🤔🤣🤔
ONLY APPLE DEVICES PERFORM LIKE THIS.... OR THESE ARE PROTOTYPE DEVICES THEY USED CUZ I'VE BEEN USING SAMSUNGS EXCLUSIVELY FOR 10 SINCE SAMSUNG OMNIA... NEVER EVEN SCRATCHED
Yeah, if they staged this, they would lose credit.
@Jaysupa drop, pause, smash the back of a phone with a hammer until it breaks, resume.
Allstate Protection Plans also did this test and similar results. Garbage build, but hey 100x zoom!
The conspiracy theories are everywhere now 🤣 people would rather believe their own baseless theories than to accept the reality.
The s21 series is amoled not LCD
I protected mine S21 ultra with an '' black rock'' case, so i think it gonna survive this kinds of falls. I hope so.
I got a s21ultra with a case and I accidentally dropped about 1ft 11 high on my Rv floor and now it got a some weird sound every time I move it or flip it, around the camera like if was something loose or broken inside is very annoying
I've launched my S21 Ultra like a frickin' Elon Rocket.. Not 1 single scratch.
This is why Cases and screen protectors are made. If u must see the phone get a decent clear case. I don't care if it's a 150$ phone if u can get a case and screen protector u should.
You can drop test with screen guard and with mobile cover
The phones are scratch resistant, NOT drop onto concrete proof....
People are spending $1000 dollars then get a clear TPU case atleast and save yourself than regretting later..
Personal experience from 4 shattered phones and luckily my 5 device Redmi K20 pro finally hasn't dropped yet in approx 2 years of ownership thanks to a clear TPU case.
Why don't you drop the same phones with a screen protector in case on it
Ok glass vs concrete the concrete will always win. What I want to know is why on the second drop they dropped the 21s back down but the 21s ultra screen down?
"What is wrong with these phones" spoiled classic woman for you.
You would think corning would do drop test with real phones just like this and then keep improving the glass to where it actually holds up better ,then put whatever they make on the production phones. Seems their testing is flawed.
But y dont you done 6 feet face down drop test in s21 if u done with s21 ultra
There should be a law forbidding glass backs on smartphones and tablets, those are only made to milk customers for repair costs and expensive maintenance plans !
I baby my ultra and almost had a heart attack when i saw what looked like a crack on the screen until i realized it was just a scratch on my screen protecter lol
This happened to my iPhone 12 while out walking my dog. Two foot drop while I was bending down and the corner front screen chipped. 😤
Did u get applecare??
@@jesrey9554 I did, but Apple wants to send a refurbished phone and no one has a screen replacement. My phone is brand new and expensive. I don’t want a completely different refurb phone vs just a new screen.
@@sharonshade4437 Sometimes refurbs are better than new because Apple actually inspects them.
While I admire these videos and am well aware that nothing is free in life but I feel the testing would've been better and more informative if it actually WERE a scientific test
Question is why would you want to drop it in the first place that is what a screen protector is for
If people aren't using cases on these. They deserve punches.
I never use cases and never drop my premium phones... it comes down to being a responsible adult.
What if I bought my Phone because I love the look and color of it? A case will cover it up. Not to mention some people are responsible with phones, I have never had cracked screen since my black berry storm and that was like 2007...
What's wrong with these phones? You just dropped them on concrete..twice
please do a drop test for the S22 ultra. i always always put a screen protector and case on my phone.
So next time Samsung should make sure that the their premium smartphones must be more front and back durable, rather than investment in making a ridiculous cameras...
