Don't know if this was mentioned by anyone, but there is a "physics" trick while riding a bike. If you keep tapping the "shift your weight forward" button to keep CJ ducked down in his seat, apparently, that lowers wind resistance or something, dramatically increasing his acceleration and speed. I discovered this while struggling with that Toreno mission where you need to catch up to a plane, and it made a ton of difference.
San Andreas is literally a timeless classic. It's funny how this game that came out nearly 2 decades ago still has more features than most modern triple A games these days.

6:49, also if you just normally walk/run for a long time, CJ loses fat too. If you climb too much frequently, it increases muscles. When you do a lot of cycling, it improves your health and increases your health bar :)

Bro, being born around this games release time makes me feel like I was born in-between eras of gameplay which feels great. The idea that when I was younger these games looked like this is crazy, now we got GTA 6 on the way. My siblings always played GTA and we played the newer ones but I kinda feel like playing the older games now lol... It's in the DNA.
Also the radio stations react to the time of the day, like if it’s morning the radialist will give you a good morning, also if it’s foggy or a clear sky they will also comment on that. I don’t know if the playlist is affected by that as well but I’m pretty sure that I’ve listened to “I love a rainy night” far to frequently during rains in the countryside
24:37 actually what's going on here is that those specific roads make vehicles slower, and not the sidewalks being faster. This is noticeable at the golden gate bridge between SF and Bayside, where your vehicle not only feels but also is slower than on normal roads
Everything in this game from the realistic need to eat and work out to the the wind pushing airplane, to tires spinning out in the mud is genius. Nothing compares to GTA sa
Everytime I play/see SA again, new things are taught/shown to me. A shame some features don't properly work, but I still appreciate at the very least, it was thought about and implemented. SA is overall a fantastic game! A few hiccups, sure, but the thousands of pros outweigh the relatively few cons.
People can say but this still is the greatest GTA and the best open world game of the generation. Such love and dedication put into it, you just can't fall in love with it.
And don't forget it that if you have several girlfriends, at some unknown point they can meet each other, like, you're driving one to a restaurant and running into a car with another one. A very rare occurence, still can be unexpected and real fun. The progress with relationships will be stuck, though.

Everyone here knows that these details are repeated on most of the videos but we still enjoy it because most open world games nowadays don't have these small details that affect how lively the game is.
Watching this helped me realise that this game is like MGS2: the gift that keeps on giving. Even after all this time there is still something new to learn! There are some Codec conversations I never heard because there were some actions I simply didn't ever perform. I never roamed as fat CJ for very long so I missed out on everything I saw you feature in this vid. This game wowed me back then. Still wows me 20 years on. Proof that it had nothing to do with the console!
you can soft lock yourself in the early game if cj is fat. Because in one of the missions the game requires you to climb over a fence and he wont be able to climb over it
Thought I knew everything about this game but had never heard those lines when running people over. The fact that they went to the trouble of recording all that only for it to get glitched in the final version and most people never knowing of it. Man, that's crazy. There's so much usuned and glitched content in this game, I feel like DE should have focused on recovering this stuff instead of porting the mobile version :P
Hello Real Kev3n! I am just mentioning this info that you have probably forgot to include! Grove Street homies certainly get an upgrade once we finish Ryder's mission! But they really get cool Firearms only after we spray all 100 tags! They will get a Desert Eagle and SMG! Along with that, we can get a Tek Uzi, Sawn off shotgun, Molotov Cocktail and AK-47 spawning inside our kitchen near the save button. Also these tags are counted for 100% in-game completion.

I still remember How I knew my way around the Grove, the cul de sac, without having to use the maps. GTA 4 uhhh.... It was point A to point B drives using maps.
I have felt that realism has nothing to do with graphics and everything to do with the amount of details and thought put into all kinds of immersive game mechanics like this. Some people might think that these little things are a shallow attempt to overcompensate for engine limitations, but I would say that GTA IV and GTA V became more shallow because they increasingly did away with immersive game mechanics like this, and maybe they thought that would be okay because the hardware constraints requiring them to tone these features down in LCS and VCS didn't harm the popularity of those games to much. I do think that this design philosophy will likely be coming back in GTA 6 both because of how long they have taken on developing it, and because RDR2 had the same focus on immersion that GTA San Andreas did when it first came out.
