@MrKaren1971 this is were I go, cajungunworks.com/product-category/p-01/
Thanks for the video mate
I highly recommend you put a DPM System guiderod and spring!
Why DPM? Other companies make good stuff too bro?
@@straplyfedj DPM in particular because of the increased reliability, long durability and recoil control under rapid fire. Other companies do pretty well at some of those things but the DPM system is a system that does it all.
Nice video! I just picked one up today. Not the omega, but the regular P-01 with the NSN engraving. I’m shopping at Cajun now and I just ordered the Dawson fiber optic front and blacked out rear carry sights.
While a steel or aluminum guide rod does add a wee bit of weight, it's value in regards to reliability enhancement is dubious at best.
I would be intrigued to hear from the content creator here as to his reasoning for his stated concern over the polymer guide rod.
Good content sir.
Thank you very much for the reply. My concern with the guide rod was the steel spring had already started to remove material from it after 200 rounds. I just feel more secure with the steel guide rod in it. After talking to a smith at Cajun gun works he recommended this due to my concern, stating that it was a lifetime part that adds marginal weight to the gun, and was very inexpensive and worth trying out. Update 500 more rounds through it and the steel guide rod has done as it was designed.
Do you still have the part numbers for the pin and guide rod?
Nice video. Thank you!
I have the 75 D Compact PCR and had the complete CGW pro package installed. I also went with the Dawson sights (red front/green rear) and put some LOK carbon fiber grips on it. I tuck it all into a beautiful shoulder holster rig from Craft Holsters and my EDC is complete.
1200+ rounds through it and never an issue of any type. I think I will put it in the will that I get buried with the set up. 🙂
I have 9k rounds through my cz pcr. Never had a single malfunction and I’ve shot everything from lower power steel case to +p+ screamers. I don’t carry it as much any more but I did carry it as my only pistol for about 6 years. I installed the CGW pro defensive kit in mine as well. Blacked out the rear dots and put a green fiber optic up front. I’m in contact with a few companies about milling it for a dot. I’d probably go back to it as my main edc if I end up milling it. I’ve been carrying my m&p 2.0 4.6” 10mm with mailbox optic, tlr1-hl for the past year. A smaller pistol might be a nice change.
Yeah my M&P 10mm compact is a great. I run the Inforce Wild1 with Holosun 507-xc, but will be changing to a EPS
Oh, on subject firearm, just picked up my 75 P-01 and it shoots great.
Suggest you get a "bench block" for holding your pistol while beating on it. Only $10 to 15.
My edc is a p01 omega and i did the same upgrades after i got mine. Just curious is you had done much dry firing before you replaced that roll pin? I pulled mine around 500 round mark it was still pretty good but replaced it anyway. Just curious, seems like sometimes its hit or miss with it. Great gun though, it has never let me down and i love it!
Awesome, I have one myself. I recommend LOK bogie grips and a streamlight TRL7A. whats your thoughts on the barrel bushing from cajun?
I’ll take a look at those thanks. I think is a good idea, I’m going to do one soon. Anything to help with accuracy is a great upgrade.
hi, can i get links to spare parts
Are there any objective differences in switching to steel guide rod?
Honesty I didn’t notice any change in the performance, for me it was mostly because of durability, the original guide rod is fine I just felt better about this one
Thanks. If they ever reduce the double action trigger pull to about 7 lbs., it would be a perfect gun. A great gun nevertheless.
Are you California based? Wondering how you got the 15 rd mag
Texas, and got it from Cajun gun works
Does CAJON do bluing or Custom finishes?
Yes they do! I’m not sure about blueing but they do milling for optics And slide porting as well as cerakote. Check out their website
@@LifesaBench Thanks Buddy
