Your video cover page is very nice, very pleasing and inviting. And you talk clearly at the right speed. My dancing improves watching your videos. Thank you Kyryl !🙏🤗
Timng is awefuly important in dancing, especially in Samba to bring out the rhythmic bounce. Kyryl has given us some innovative hints to achieve this. Thank you Kyryl!
That part "the replace is not a separate step" 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I'm trying to do the samba figures (stationary samba, botafogo, whisky etc) with a fast samba music but it doesn't look so good vs when I do It with a slow music, especially stationary samba walk is driving me crazy.
Dear Deda, thank you for your comment. It helps me to plan the subsequent videos. The following video I’m planning is about samba hip action. After that I’d be happy to cover different samba figures including stationary samba walk. I’ll share how to make it work with fast music. It will definitely help ;-) Eventually we will make a small routine to practice. Thank you for following !
Samba is not counted as1,2,3 (1/3, 1/3, 1/3), but 1,a2 ( 1, 1/2, 1/2) . Correct me if I'm wrong. Your hint is practical to avoid the common mistake we see on the social dance floor.
Hello Henry, thank you for your kind messages and your questions. Here is the answer: in fact there are some movements we do count as 123. Like promenade runs - 3/4 1/2 3/4. Rolling of the arm - is 1/3 1/3 1/3 ish. Whereas 1a2 stands only for 3/4 1/4 1 - no other options.
Thank you for your comment. It is important to be aware that 3/4-1/4- 1 is a foot timing - that's how long we stand on a leg. The preparation for the next step is happening in the body when we grow on a standing leg (straightening knee) on the full beat count (3rd part of the step). So the foot timing is always 3/4-1/4-1 during bounce actions. Whereas bounce that is produced in the knees is always 1/2-1/2. Hope this makes it more clear

In reality you count music 1 1/4 3/4 = 1 a2 but less people speak about it. Becouse you have to prepare for figure.
