a Unreal Engine 5 game shipped without DLSS dang. i'm using a 4070Ti Super, i think i'm good but shipping a unreal engine 5 game without DLSS is a BIG NO GO, i guess it runs at 30fps on console aswell. people with weaker hardware will have a hard time on this game...
@@UrQuietGamer Not consistently on the Series X, it stutters a LOT on performance mode on Series X and the texture quality is straight ass in performance mode.
This game does not support DLSS/FSR, yet it is pretty hard to run, thanks to UE5. They literally needed to spend just one minute to add these features in UE5 based games. What were the devs thinking about? What's worse, it also includes Denuvo. So it will be impossible to mod the game and add those missing features. The publisher clearly does not want this game to sell well...

Does the game really have Denuvo, what is the executable size ? Do you notice differences between High and Cinematic settings ? I know that Cinematic settings were pointless in LiS True Colors, only a bit better LoD and lose 20-30 FPS (maybe even more)
Yes, the game does have Denuvo, the executable is ~600mb. Cinematic settings have noticeably higher quality of Lumen. The Lumen GI is darker indoors with High settings compared to Cinematic.
@@MxBenchmarkPC What about Low settings ? does it disable Nanite (if the game has it) and Lumen ? they ask for a GTX 960 for minimum so I'm guessing it disables it ? Also, are these the only settings ? Low High Cinematic ? No Medium and Very High ?
@@MxBenchmarkPC I was asking about Denuvo because LiS True Colors had Denuvo on Steam page but it launched without so was hoping it's the same for Double Exposure.
@Funnky there are Low, Medium, High and Cinematic settings. Low settings disables Nanite and Lumen and the game looks extremely broken and ugly. Here is an example of Low settings at 4K (for comparison, the screenshot is from this scene 11:04): i.imgur.com/wDGf70f.jpeg
Damn the game is hard on cards and doesn't look that impressive to justify the performce . Btw , anyway to turn off that annoying sound that happens when pressing a button to interact? Also can you change how the subtitles look?
Ngl, this game has amazing graphics from medium to cinematic settings, but they really butchered the low settings so badly. It looks unrecognizable and terrible at low settings.
Bro, I don't understand. I have 4070 super and 5800x3d (that is, more powerful than in your video) and in the initial location, in an abandoned bowling club, I have 40-50 fps at 1440p, WTF. Why do I have less fps than you, even though the processor and graphics card are more powerful?
I was told that the solution would be to close the game after changing the graphics settings, but that didn't work for me. The solution was to decrease the resolution scale by 5 points and the secondary scale by 70%. That way I got 4k60fps.
@@AnimeUniverseDE I just want to know if can run dx11 cause I play stereoscopic not flat and is no demo on steam. High FPS is also mandatory for real 3D.
Bro wtf.. there is no dlss in the options? how can they bring a game with ue5 like this without upscaling tech like dlss or fsr..? tf is wrong with them xD
A game in 2024 without DLSS and FG prolly worse than unoptimized titles itself. At least you can still use it as a crutch, but without it, we are doomed at the first place. Lose in a battle without a single fight. Also where is the combat part? If it going to play like this, then it dozen matter much for not getting 60 fps but still so rough with such performance. 🤔🥲
I think the performance is fine honestly. A 4070 doing 1440p60 at max settings seems standard. Also, have you ever heard of Life is Strange before? There’s no form of combat in it, it’s a story focused game.
@@Joshy_Poo no, this is not the "standard", a card made for a certain resolution must run at that resolution with ease, and that is why a card made for 1440p like the 4070 Super runs games at 100 fps. 60 is unacceptable. Even if it was with DLSS or Frame Gen to increase that number, but without these options it's ridiculous, 60 fps is for when you want to play a higher resolution than your GPU was made to run, 1440p60 is for 4060 Ti, not for 4070.

What's even more funny is that the game uses TSR instead of TAA, but the resolution scaling option for TSR is broken and doesn't work 😂

yup same, i wonder why they didnt implemented dlss or other upscaler

You need to restart the game after you applied cinematic settings.
Did you try with -dx11 launch command argument like Silent Hill, and maybe will get higher FPS.
DX11 runs better in Silent Hill because it removes a bunch of graphical effects lol
