I wanted to show you my new toy, the Breville Sous Chef 16 Peel & Dice food processor. It did a great job making this big batch of home fries and saved a lot of time. I will talk more about this machine in future videos when I have my voice back. It was only as hard to clean as a juicer. I can see how this thing is going to make big batch pico super easy...

You are so good to demonstrate this machine. Breville should hire you. Like the whole presentation!
OMG, I scoured youtube looking for videos showing this machine in action with tomatoes, onions, etc. Geez.....now I have to seriously consider getting this! Thanks Dillon and hope you feel better soon.
I’ll keep making more videos with it. Pico coming soon ha ha
Be still my heart!!! Btwn watching that awesome machine in action, dicing all those veggies at warp speed and then that pan of deliciousness.....
Hehe thank you Laurie!
Brilliant to see how well this machine works.
Thank you for posting, this looks great! I always forget which order to assemble my Breville pieces & you have the best video showing us the way!
these videos are my new favorite. I bought a peel and dice about a month ago and always enjoy cooking videos.. but seeing the dicing blade in action brings me joy lol... thanks for sharing
Glad you like them Asha, thank you!
Loved the video. You crack me up eating when it’s so hot every time. You just can’t wait can you? lol
I just cannot wait. I have always loved piping hot food. Inherited this from my mother.
Thank you!!! I just took my breville out of the closet to us. This was SOOO helpful. Perfect timing & perfect presented.❤️❤️
Btw I just love how much garlic and chilli you use. Whenever I see/hear “and if you like it spicy you can add 1/4 tsp of red pepper flakes!’’ I die a little inside..
And I like piping hot food too! Lol. Keep it all up man
I need this!! It will compliment my very favorite time saving items......vitamix and breville smart oven. I used both every single day, more than once. Have a feeling this would be in the same category. Thanks Dillon!
It is pretty handy, thank you!
best demo vid I have ever seen THANK YOU
Speedy recovery. Can't wait to hear how you like your new toy. Looked impressive.
Hope you feel better soon, and that was STILL funny (eating when it's hot and the end), even though it was silent!! That Breville looks totally worth it!!!! Take care!
he he thank you!
I didn't know if I wanted to spend $500 on a food processor, but that demo is pretty impressive.
Best Buy had a 20% off coupon online, and I was able to nab it for $428 after tax. Should be arriving tomorrow.
Feel better soon
I’m coming around. Thank you!
NO WORDS...to describe how good that looked!✌️
That is an awesome food processor ! your meal looks delicious. Hope you feel better soon. 😊
Yes I am loving it, thank you!
That dicer looks amazing. I hope you feel better (both head cold and burned mouth)!
The machine looks awesome and the food you made looked yummy!
Thanks Pam!
I'm not going to lie I kind of like it silent especially for cooking demos straight and to the point. I'm not saying I don't like your commentary but just kind of cool to see it quick
Sure, I hear you, thank you!
I'm the exact same way. I usually don't have time or patience for long, chatty recipe videos (although I love the banter between Jane Esselstyn and her mom Ann on her recipe channel). I enjoyed this one and I clicked on it because it was less than 5 min :)
I have acute laryngitis and can’t talk or even whisper. Hope you are feeling better. That looks amazing. That Breville food processor is amazing. Well worth what you paid for it.
I love it!
NICE!!! Looks like you were having a lot fun.
Great machine... Will wonders never cease. Loved the demo... even without the voice.. Feel better, Dillon.
Thank you!
You are why I bought this amazing machine last year. I also bought the additional dicing kit. I am an avid canner and cook for a lot of family and friends. It is my best friend in the kitchen.
I'm so glad it's working out for you! We use ours all the time too. It's a lifesaver for the cooking show.
Question. On the 8 & 16mm dicing kit "blade" why is there an underside indented v. Is it to line it up?
Hahahah - thanks for the chuckle. And the yummy food, of course!
Thanks for the video! Very helpful to see how this was done. Have a great day :)
Hope you feel better Dillon! Poor thing. Still enjoyed watching you cook. Take it easy and try to relax. 🙂💜
Thank you!
Oil free home fries oh boy! These look epic. I do try to keep the skin on roots wherever possible. They say it’s where most of the nutrients are :)
Emmett Kelly surely approves from the afterlife....Especially that final shrug! (and the "hot mouth take" too ) I liked the quiet "symphony of necessary sounds" effect! It also emphasizes the more or less "silent running" of the machine.
Actually yes it is a surprisingly quiet machine.
Great video! Cool food processor!! FEEL BETTER SOON!!
Thank you Kristi!
Thanks for the demo! I need to get that accessory for my Breville.
I’ll show some more when I have a voice too. 😊
Do you have the original sous chef? I do, and good luck finding the kit for sale. I’ve been looking and waiting for over a year. Never once seen it in stock anywhere. I even signed up for Brevilles notify me when in stock alert thingy. Nada from them. I’ve just about given up on ever finding it.
*havent googled it since late November. Let me go see if it’s finally in stock somewhere
Edit:
Holy smokes the compatibility and dicing kit are both in stock! Only $330 for both, that seems awfully expensive lol. Nice of them to not send me the email notification about it being in stock.
Thank you for another awesome recipe
This is so satisfying
Wow!!!!!!! Love the disk!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looks very worthwhile. Feel better soon.
Thank you!
Awesome thank you so much for sharing
That's one impressive chopper and a nice looking meal.
Thank you!
Wow. Thank you so much!
That recipe looks wonderful. Thanks so much for your video. Hope that you feel better soon. I’m a new subscriber. I have a couple of questions if you don’t make mind. Can you process stringy potatoes for hash browns? And can you peel garlic and onions? Thanks so much.
Can you please tell me if on the bottom of the 16mm slicing blade (the one that goes with the red dicing blade), does the metal indent in sort of a V shape a little past the blade area? I tried to see if I could see this on your set, but I didn't see any video showing the underside of the 16mm slicing blade of the dicing set. Thank you!
super cool
No talking. Your best video yet! Naw great video. You just opened yourself up for that one! Get well soon.
Ha ha ha rude! 😝 and thank you
What an incredible machine! I hope you're feeling a bit better. Maybe Santa can bring you a new voice (early)??? The home fries look delicious. This shows your dedication - video when ill.
Ha ha, I was feeling fine, just a dud voice! XO
That looks sooo goood. 👍
Thank you!
Great video, thanks buddy
👍🏽👍🏽Get well soon!!
Nice new toy! Hope you feel better soon!
Thank you Laura!
This is like the best ad ever.
Hi can we make powder of dry spices with this and how does it work making milkshake and juices?
Well YOUR world!!! Feel better, Dillon!!!
Awesome machine, maybe could afford in a year or so when less costly?:) Thought of you yesterday as I enjoyed making more Cheez Sauce from mix - sooo easy & tasty with our baked potatoes, broccoli, & cauliflower supper! Tks again & be well.
So happy to hear it! Thank you Kay!
Very cool Peaceful Cuisine style😊
Ha ha in my dreams, thank you!
Santa better bring me this, I’ve been good!!!!
Does this machine dice uncooked sweet potato?
Told you it was amazing !!
It was you that told me about this machine wasn’t it!
@@WellYourWorld yep
If I had money, I would pay Au $600 for the food processor 😃 so worth it!
Hope you feel better soon.
Even mime's burn their tongues. Get well soon Dillon!!!
Ha ha thank you Ben, I am back!
Yummy
@Dillon the silent video was a bit odd but still good ,, thanks for doing it even though you clearly didn't feel good
Will it dice every vegetable type without problems? What about raw beets and other hard veggies? Thank you!
What's the first white spice he adds? I made the dish last night without it, amazing. My friend loved it too. Thanks!
Garlic
Can it dice carrots? Thank you for the video!
What is this sorcery! I need to get this thing. Lot of time savings!
PlantTheSeed I have the original version, which doesn’t peel or chop. It’s a life changer. I made Mac and cheese and had to grate 6lbs of cheese. It took me 10x as long to cut open the packages and cut the cheese in half than it took my Breville to perfectly shred it. It took like 20 seconds once it was prepped.
Imaging hand grating 6lb of cheese? Oh the horror and the hand cramps! #1stworldproblems
Awesome!
Lol
Thank you! Did you purchase all 3 sized dicing blades, or was there only 1 size in your unit (what size please)? I wish they did not charge $199 for just the adapting kit with 1 dicing size and $130 for the other 2 dicing blades...might as well buy the whole thing all over again... Hope you feel better soon!!!!
sn232 hell, can you even find the damn kit for sale? I have the sous chef 16 and since they announced this model I’ve been DYING to buy the kit.
I’ve literally been looking and waiting for over a year now.
Breville sucks big time here. Funny how I can buy the $499 model but I can’t buy the kit for mine. And it’s funny how the sous chef is 399 and the dice and peel one is 100 more. But the kit is 200! Well apparently since I’ve never actually seen it for sale. And thanks to you I now see it’s 199+130. Jesus lol... I don’t wanna but I might end up just buying the 499 model. I’m assuming it comes with all the blades. Did I mention I hate Breville?
@@Bigheadedwon I called the company and asked if they had any sales, the girl said that they never had sales that she knew of. I asked why we needed to have a new bowl and lid vs just the center post and blades, they did say that the bowl and lid is a stronger material for the purpose of the slicing/dicing/potato peeling features. Pricey, but it does a great job with slicing and mincing things evenly, just not sure about the dicing yet, although Dillon's videos make it look spectacular!
I hope you see this comment, because it's an old video. just started watching a couple videos. love your recipes. just one question where are the proteins, for it to be balanced? like black beans, chick peas....
Love you, Dillon......Hilarious!
Gute Besserung!
I hope you're feeling better! Sorry about your voice. Thank you for the demo. Can it make fries?
Yes I’ll show you the fries soon! Thanks for checking it out!
@@WellYourWorld Yay! Thanks!
I loved the video but hope you are better soon
Playing through the pain. Great video Dillon!
Ha ha ha playing through the pain. Thanks Rob!
Get well soon dear . Some honey 🍯 or maybe carob syrup will help tremendously. Love 💕 yr toy !
I want one of those. :)
Ya it’s gonna be fun. I have barely begun the exploration.
wow, that machine looks amazing! hope you feel better soon!
Thank you!
Dillon "Chaplin" , my new fave silent film star! That looked VERY yummy, and by the gasp/sigh at the end, it was both yummy and hot. You rawk - and I hope you feel better soon. XO
Thank you Lisa! XOXO
Lovely! And don't forget about air fryers! I can't live without mine! ♡♡♡
I don’t use mine all that much. What are your favorite thing to make with the air fryer?
@@WellYourWorld my obsession every Sunday: french fries. 🙈🤤😋
Roasted Vegetables to eat with your Cheese Sauce
@@twelveofthem yup 😋
Haha love it! What is that at 1:02? Shrooms?
Can you make two versions? One with some nice relaxing music would be great. 🤪
I’ll never be as amazing as Peaceful Cuisine and you know it. But some light piano would be lovely.
I prefer silent recipe videos in general, even without music (and short!) but captions for ingredients would have been a nice bonus. :). You did show what some spice labels were, but not all.
Does it make pico?
oh hunny. Just you wait....video soon
Did you get that colander on amazon? Have a link? Would like to buy one like that. Thanks!
I believe it is this one www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KPZWC8P/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=wellyourwor04-20&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B07KPZWC8P&linkId=bd8d0c29cad1dc7783dde88cf063683b
Thank you Dillon!
Здравствуйте!Меня очень впечатлил ваш комбайн ❤
У нас нет Breville ,скажите пожалуйста есть ли разница с комбайном sage?
Very nice!
I find it therapeutic to chop my own veggies, so probably not for me. It is an amazing appliance nonetheless!
I love chopping therapy as well.
you put cucumber and mushrooms come out. These curing kits are great but I felt a whole bunch of the veggie gets stuck
What is this vodoo?
It dices!!!! It dices!!!!!
Btw, I hope you feel better soon.
Thank you!
Was it easy to clean the blades on the dicer grid? I have a manual dicer with a similar grid and it is hard to get food out of it, which is why I ask. Thanks for showing product. Looks like a game changer. Glad you are feeling better!
I used a form brush and it was easy enough. Definitely worth it!
raw potato?
I can't knock it, because I havent tried it, but putting cucumber in there seems wierd. I may try this but leave them out. Thanks for the video!
That was zucchini.
Oh...lol...that makes more sense. Lol
I just may try that, then. Just as soon as I get thaatcawesome machine.
@@WellYourWorld need captions :)
You do need the special gadgets eating plant based.
Feel better!
Thanks.
Um.... I think I need that machine.
Hosuf, hosuf, hosuf ..🔥🥜🔥🥜
Did you parboil the potatoes before dicing them? Apparently, you are supposed to parboil potatoes, pumpkin and sweet potatoes before dicing them. This is one of the things that is stopping me at the moment from buying this machine.
Too hot...lol...vid was great
What army is he feeding
OMGGG, do you blister the roof of your mouth??? I like the machine but $399 is a bit steep for a chopper! I am retired so I will have plenty of time to chop by hand, but what a Time saver for you!!
P.S. get well soon!!!
I love chopping as well and will always continue with my knife. This was more to show a handy tool for people that love to do big batch food prep.
He got no voice - and I got no money - for this BBT .... 😩😓 (Breville Billionaires Toy)
Why do you always eat the food when it is burning hot? So uncomfortable to watch.
You'll be ok. I do it because I really love hot food.
