Cool!... I can see some circuit benders making some kind of massive synth with these, great fun for kids just setting out to learn synthesis, and techy types as well. thanks for the demo :-)
Pete Brown You can record it from the headphone jack, but sometimes the speaker is handy for auditing your changes before you pipe it into your mixer. You could also purchase a second speaker, and make stereo sound too.
Synthpopalooza Well, two speaker mono, anyway. :) (unless you set up a second voice so you can have split L/R) Cool demo in any case. Like any synth demo, It would have benefited from hooking it up to the board for the recording. These things are a lot of fun. I used them to teach my son how synthesizers work; they're less intimidating than the modular.
Here are some of the crazy sounds the littleBits kit can make (my recording from 6 months or so ago. soundcloud.com/psychlist1972/littlebits-korg-synth-crazy
Just in time for x-mass drive Mom & Dad crazy lol
Fantastic video. Best overview of the kit I've seen.
Thank you for the review and can't wait to get my hands on one so I can tinker with my kids.
This is soo cool

Dude that was awesome I wish you would have had a whole set at one point and built a mix!
what is the adapter used for the iPad to have audio in?
how did you get that pluck sound at 3:05
It would be cool if it came with a ribbon. Still totally awesome. I want one.
There are pressure modules and other modifying modules. If I find this musically viable I may buy more stuff to expand...
why not just record it from the built-in headphone jack?
I see now why you said you like the little speaker. Makes it tough for recording, though.
So cool Pete Brown

Mechanicoid Wow! This thing would be so much cooler if it dispensed beer.
They have a development kit, so you could make a keg module and you'd be set to go! Synths and Beer! Synths and Beer!
They have a MIDI module on the way.
