Chris' Workshop
Great contrast with the unique splines. I like it!
Wow, those splines look really nice and unique. People will wonder how you did that. Cool jig!
Nice use of the spline jig to make the diamond shape. And I love how oak and walnut look so good together.
Jack, that is elegant and simple. I really like your splines.
Good going Jack. The jig worked great.
Very nice project Jack, that decorative touch with the darkwood really makes the piece stand out. The weight of that oak must also make that very stable when used for your utensils.
I'm really digging that slide jig. Nice job
Looks great Jack!
Great project Jack, you are a master with them push sticks. Well done sir.
A spine AND key cutting jig?! Really cool. That came out great!

Love the diamond accents, nice work :)
another great example of what you can do with simple jigs - looks great, i have to admit i was wondering about using the jig for designs other than straight spines.
Another fantastic jig.I apprenticed under a " jig man"-treasured times for me.
You are a master-I'll be making one!

Awesome. Nice job!
Great Build Jack! Gotta ask... Have you been hit before by a board with out a kerf riving knife on your table saw. Had mine off this summer and bumped my piece into the blade with my push stick and got nailed in the stomach. I don't stand behind it any more! Rofl Keep up the great work!

That utensil holder ended up looking fantastic, your jig is really good Jack. Greets from Argentina!
I made that same box a year ago with about six or seven shop made utensils for my wife.
I just ordered one of these in ceramic, now I wish I had though to make my own :)
very lovely
A jig guru
Hi @Jack, very nice indeed. I'm curious, what material is inside of that steel channel that you use to hold your glued joints sometimes?
Fantástico.
Jack at 2:55 ua-cam.com/video/4te7eDjwSHE/v-deo.html what is the hold down jig? Do you have it on another video, I would guess it's magnetic. Looks cool, I need to see more of it please.
Like the splines Jack. JimE
Great
I'm not sure those "splines" add much strength to the joint. Other then the glue surface, there's very little mechanical advantage added. If the keys were reversed it would add much more strength.
well done :-)
How did he do that? Now I know
Ain't scaaarreeeed
I see you have dupuytrens contracture. Doesn't seem to slow you down at all.
eccellente
Not a utensil.....
Good Job ! Looks nice and seems to have plenty or room for growth.
