  • This week I'm Wild Camping on a river bank with Col from ‪@southcoastoutdoorsuk6301‬ using our SUP to access our camping spot
Thought I'd see if Paddle board camping was an option, we paddled up the River Arun until we found a suitable spot to pitch our tents. Col cooked an amazing Paella and we chilled on the waters edge.
I used the ultra light 10D naturehike cloud up 2 and Col used the Naturehike Vik1 both are budget lightweight tents and it was good to see them side by side to compare the two.

Looked like a quality time Dan👍👍 SUP camping seems to be a viable way of getting to places maybe not accessible otherwise or at least easier. Col appears to be a capable and experienced outdoor type, good mate to have along for sure. Great place to set up a camp and the tents used were all you needed for this adventure, very nice. Meals looked delicious, those pancakes😋 Water shoes are essential, yours seem next level. Great video, well done again, thanks. See ya in the next one.

G'day Dan, Col, nice way to travel, but come on you blokes, someone's got to end up in the drink sooner or later, lol.
Piella looked fantastic, that's a camping luxury all right.
Good to see the sea to summit x-mug works well as a multi-use device, : )
    Cheers Duke.
P.S. haven't heard the teabag gag before, .............gagged on my tinnie, lol.

Really enjoyed this one Dan. Major respect to ya for becoming a proficient 'SUP'er'! Some serious balance going on there including all your gear - although perhaps the gear acts as ballast! I HAVE to try the Tiny Pump fire 'bellows'!! Great camp from both you and Col. ATB - Ben

the board handled itself well with the extra weight, although it seemed easy at the time my legs ached for about 3 days after!

The board handles the extra weight pretty easily and although it seemed a pleasant paddle at the time my legs were aching for a few days after!

I really liked this one🤗, Crackin vid, menstruation gags not withstanding 😬🫢, surprised you missed calling the pancake addition ‘menstruals’ instead of minstrels 🤔🫢. I suppose there’s a world of difference between 1980’s single skin tents and 2020’s single skin tents 😛👍, a tarp has been my only ‘single skin’ since the early 90’s. I recommend getting some flexible hosing & a short length of aluminium tube to make your Flextail pumps into an air pump capable of kickstarting any size campfire 🏕🔥…..but I may have said that before…..a few times……at least 🤪👍. The bee eaters have started calling to each other on the wing and the overnight temperatures are picking up here on Oz, that means Spring is coming for us & a bounty of chestnuts for you soon at your permisson woodland. Make the most of that good weather, autumn is coming 🇬🇧🎥😎👍👏👏👏‼️

I always forget to try the pump as bellows.. can't believe how well it worked.. must remember it during the winter when the fire is struggling : )
it's gone back to being extremely hot here after a couple of weeks of "normal" Summer temperatures. I've just been sawing wood in the garden ready for winter and I'm a little warm now!

@@CampLifeBushcraft I’ve got a mains powered mattress inflator, it turns struggling barbecue coals into a raging blacksmiths forge in less than a minute 🔥🤗‼️. I think it’s why wafting with a flat piece of cardboard works better than lungs - a steady supply of fresh air, rather than Co2 laden exhaled breath 👍
