I took it out in damp coastal weather and it performed as expected. My top quilt was wet on top but I kept warm. I still love it and plan to use it on a lot more trips. Cheers from California.
Very cool that you’re watching from California, thanks for subscribing man! I’ve subscribed to your channel as well. I use a tyvek bivi from 3ful when I’m in situations when shelter could be a bit condensation prone and that protects my bag. Not too much more pack weight either. Nice1 Rod looking forward to catching some of your videos👌🏻
Thanks Stuart! Aye it’s a cool wee tent, definitely more one for the warmer weather but I’m enjoying it so far even at this time o year. I see you’ve got another vid on, I’ll be tuning into that later fella 👌🏻
I know what you mean when you said, "I'm not feeling it." I've had that feeling many a time. You are out there, but not got the oomph !! that it requires and happy to camp just anywhere. Nothing like a drop of rain on the tent to make one feel cosy. Enjoyed the video ATB Cheers from the mountains of NZ 😀😀
You’re absolutely spot on with your comments there MMT - was more than happy to set up where I did. I was at least able to see something outside and I agree with you about the sound of the rain on the tent, so relaxing! Anyway I’m delighted you watched from NZ so thank you so much for that. Cheers Mr! 🏴 🤝 🇳🇿
It is a pity that the weather did not play ball with you, as I was looking forward to seeing Loch Doon from a different angle. I'm glad the Vic 1 kept you dry. I like your use of Gridreferences, as I can relate to the landscape in your videos, compared with the Ordnance Survey maps. I'm looking forward to your next instalment, which, as you said, will be something different.......
Aye will be a good view from up on the Coran of Portmark. Will be able to see the mine, the loch, the WW1 bomb line place and lots more besides. All the places I’ve been in that area really. Cheers for dropping by bro! 😆⛺️⛰️👍🏻
Thank you, and thanks for the sub too that’s much appreciated. I’ll sub right back at ya to see how you get on with the vik1 👍🏻 I think it’s a really cool wee tent so far! Cheers
Got one for a bike packing trip. Weighs nothing and is decent quality for the money. Easy to pitch and fairly strong. I paid £80 but I notice they’re £500 on eBay now - WTF!?! They’re worth £100 taking account of inflation but that’s it. Decent tent but you do get a lot of condensation but it’s single wall so what would you expect. For the lack of weigh and cost it’s a good bit of kit imo.
Some great weather there 🌧👍🙂
Was lucky to get really good weather! 🌦️

@@campingcaledonia76 Hey thanks a lot. That tyvek bivi looks really interesting. Especially since there's one for a quilt. I'll check it out thanks.
Not a problem 👌🏻
