    🌄 Setting the Scene:
Picture the ancient landscapes as God commands Abraham to offer his beloved son Isaac as a burnt offering. The emotional and moral challenge ahead sets the stage for an extraordinary test of faith that echoes through generations.
    👨‍👦 Father and Son:
As Abraham and Isaac ascend the designated mountain, the unspoken tension between father and son heightens. Isaac, unaware of the divine purpose, questions his father about the absence of a sacrificial lamb. The bond between them becomes a poignant backdrop to the unfolding drama.
    🙏 Abraham's Profound Faith:
In the face of adversity, Abraham responds with unwavering faith, assuring Isaac that God will provide. The moment is a testament to the patriarch's trust in the divine plan, setting the scene for a sacrificial act that transcends human comprehension.
    ⚔️ The Climactic Moment:
With a heavy heart, Abraham binds Isaac on the altar, poised to fulfill God's command. The tension peaks as he takes the knife, ready for the unimaginable. The narrative intensifies, creating a gripping atmosphere that captures the gravity of the situation.
    👼 Divine Intervention:
At the crucial moment, an angel intervenes, preventing the sacrifice and commending Abraham's steadfast trust. The divine presence transforms the narrative, offering a glimmer of hope and emphasizing the profound lesson embedded in this spiritual journey.
    🐑 Provision in the Thicket:
Instead of Isaac, a ram caught in the thicket becomes the sacrificial offering. Witness the symbolic moment of God's provision, showcasing a deeper understanding of divine sacrifice and the intricacies of faith.
    💡 Embracing the Lesson:
The narrative concludes by emphasizing Abraham's unwavering faith and God's provision, foreshadowing the concept of divine sacrifice. Explore the profound lesson that resonates through time, encouraging reflection on obedience and trust in God's intricate plan.

I would say NO I can't do it,stop you're an all knowing God of 💕 Love, have Mercy on me for not being able to do this! The Bible says His Mercy Endures Forever so I wonder if this even happened? Why does GOD so often in OT have to be such a dramatic hard ass??

Isaac didn't come off that mountain. Later priests cleaned up that story. Couldn't have the patriarch giving a molk sacrifice.
Why would God need to test? Isn't he all-knowing?

To Question God is picking fruit from the tree God told you not to pick, If your own father tells you to do something you do it. At the time he didn't know why he was asked to do something so horrible to his Son that he loved more than life itself, And God saw this, God is a jealous God and doesn't speak to anyone anymore, Back then God understood how important this father was but needed his reassurance that God was more important..not to prove This act or Test to God because God already knew exactly what would happen before God commanded This Test, It was so the Father understood within himself that above all else God Created Him, And his Son and the very Large Earth they walk on ..And to never forget that. At any time God so chooses in the blink of an eye both the Father, and Son.. can, and will perish. But God doesn't Intervene unless God chooses.
Don't ask questions, Just to love God is always the right answer or else there are lessons already waiting for anyone questioning God. Love, and Fear God. 🙏

😅 You would kill your only son? Forget the 5th Commandment. What supersedes? A voice in your head. I'll wait to see what the almighty does.if he wants the kid he'd light him on fire

Yes, there was Ishmael as well but in Genesis 22:2 God says: “Take your son, your only son, whom you love - Isaac - and go to the region of Moriah.”
He was the only son of Abraham that would grow into the nation of Israel.

No, I wouldn't. And if you think otherwise, you don't know God. This is not a story of a great and "faithful" person. This is a story of a coward, who would sacrifice his own son because the fear of consequences for disobeying a higher authority. Any real father who loves their son would stand up to that authority and sacrifice his own life to protect their child.

If the creator of the universe ever asked me to sacrifice my son, I don't care how much I "love" God, I will not obey. Don't confuse love with obedience. That's the thing with religion, when you believe in something so much that you always find a reason to justify your actions no matter how twisted things may seem.

🤦 god is allegedly all knowing... According to almost all theists. How is it a test for Abraham when god already knows the outcome of his test to him? This is something that believers dance around all the time with weak, lame reasoning. It's one of the very many reasons I left religion and the fable of this deity y'all believe in.
There's no common sense in this story knowing the attributes all you theists give this god.
It's the same with the Adam and Eve fable.
I have to say that it's comical that people believe any of this seriously.

  • @4URInformation

If god is all knowing, there's no need for tests. Remember, it has been written. #CriticalThinking 😂
