    Wonderful timely info. Let’s face it international tax law is going to become a moving ‘feast’
    I thought Thai expat retirees had other tax laws pertaining to their incomes? So they are proposing to make it a ‘residential’ tax system with no carveouts for retirees? Have I understood you correctly
    Please continue to highlight such changes in favoured expat destinations

      Thanks @bornfree8487. We will continue to highlight such changes! Agreed it's going to be a "feast" - that's why I am trying to build awareness of these tax issues coming up.
      My understanding is that it's still not a worldwide/residential tax system, it is just income brought into Thailand being subject to tax (whenever brought in). I believe there are no further changes to the tax system in Thailand. I presume that the Double Tax Treaty will still take precedence so there may be some tax relief for retirees if applicable.

      l know there are a lot of Aussie expats that live off there pensions and some bank interest. They are very worried

      @@brucemackenzie6026 Agreed - there is still little information shared from the Thai Government. However it seems like there is no avoiding this.
