They costed themselves more time and money (I think Asher got a rather expensive ticket + potential added insurance cost) that they otherwise would have avoided if they would have taken some extra time to dot there I's and crossed there T's. The ticket that Asher got from the DOT doesn't just disappear. It goes on your record and stays there for sometime.

Seems like quite the adventure. I just got the 24’ 3.0 LZ0 Duramax and am planning on trailering a boat down to Texas from Missouri so this was definitely a reminder to check dot regulations.
I love road trips, and starting a winter vacation business cold, is a cool idea. Shame you got smacked right out of the gate ( if this is a co-business venture, hopefully the ticket costs will be shared, or payed from profits ), but good for you for keeping on after that 💪🏽

Are you required to get a state or county or city business license? Have you told your insurance agent that you're doing business in Florida to make sure you're covered, just in case? Always the best wishes for you.
Curious on to what regulations if any to starting a business down in florida coming from out of state and without a Florida state residence. Thinking of doing the same
