Hello everyone in today video I will be showing you how to start a skid steer business and how to make huge profit while doing excavation projects. In the video today I did an backfilling exaction project that took me 10 hours of my time to finish to make a hefty profit for my business. I’m excited to share the Growth of my business and I hope you guys enjoy this type of content.

Repent of your sins and turn your life to Jesus Christ Our Lord and Savior🙏🏾 - Розваги
I love how you give a message for Christ at the end. It’s good to see a young entrepreneur that works hard, lives for Jesus, and proclaims. Keep going and growing!
Thank you all Glory always goes to our lord and savior🙏🏾
Also. When using jack hammers ir anything that vibrates, take pictures of home to confirm no cracking or damage. A customer can file a massive claim or law suit if any cracks in house foundation or house walls. Just fyi.
Noted thanks for letting me know I actually didn’t know this and I will definitely be mindful of this because I definitely do not want to be sued
Also what I like to use when doing demo by windows with a jack hammer is using those suction cups from harbor friend and hang a welding blanket. Has saved me from changing windows as well!!!
@@nismor3490 imma go look into them how much do they cost if you don’t mind?
Add airbags to the rear of your truck to assist with the heavy loads it’s very easy to do .
Yeah I’ve been looking into them and I will definitely be adding some shortly
Or Supersprings or Helper Springs.
Your going on the right path brother always put him first amen 🙏
All Glory to God🙏🏾
Love the ending message is solid..god bless you brother
God bless you as well man🙏🏾
Appreciate the knowledge you shared.
No problem thank you for your comment.
Great stuff 👍🏽👍🏽
Thank you!
I love the main message at the end. Amen
Thank you
I've done a lot of demo in my days, all I'd say (especially with the attachement hammer) is get some thin plywood in front of those windows. It could have been a pricey one 😉
I will do in the future I wasn’t aware I don’t run that attachment as much as others
Great video !!!!
Thanks man 🙏🏾
God bless you for the word I don’t know you personally but me and you believe the Sam way your channel is a great inspiration keep up great work god bless you
Thank you God Bless you as well🙏🏾
Looks great and pretty good profit
Thank you!
Great job.. well done! God bless you!
Thank you
WHAT A GREAT VIDEO KEEP IT UP❤
Thanks man I appreciate your comment
I have a property maintenance company and I charge 250. per hr for skid work plus any materials I need for the job. I hope you busted up the bottum of the pool for drainage that pool could hold water, also the dirt you put in the pool will settle so the guy might call you down the road to add more dirt.. Airbags for sure on your truck..
Yeah I put holes in the bottom of the pool for drainage and the guy is having pavers put in on top of the pool area and his whole back yard and I will look into getting airbags
How to eliminate squat: Get a bigger truck... Lol
All seriousness, I'd either bag the truck or get a dually with a tow package.
Keep up the great work and continue to share the Gospel!
I want to get me a Dually F-450 but that’s cost Dually F-450 money lol and I will continue to Share God Gospel!🙏🏾
Awesome, : )
Thank you man!
I have had a skid steer business in Central Florida for about 10 years. I can tell you to be fair in your quotes and do a good job. Customers will call you back for more work and refer you to their friends. I do not advertise and stay busy. Just word of mouth. You need to work on your grading skills but that will come with time in the seat. Good luck with your business.
Thank you for your advice my problem now with my grading work is my bucket isn’t as wide as my tracks so it’s impossible to grade my tracks
@@EntreprenuerDavis You need to trade that bucket for a wider one then. Or overlap your tracks.
Be careful and realize that adding bigger bucket also adds weight to what you’re towing on an already struggling truck considering you stated it squats. When you load your equipment try to position where it is as level as possible and also verify all your gvw. If you are stopped and you’re over it potentially can lead to massive fines not to mention a huge safety concern. Also for the trailer try not to have to much weight on the tongue, this is better than to much on the rear of the trailer (this can lead to fishtailing). After fishtailing three swings it’s common for a vehicle to overturn. Keep up the drive!
You seem like a good, down to earth person who is a hard worker. Mush respect brother. Hard to see now a days. I’m wanting to get me a skid steer and do jobs too. Thanks for taking the time for the videos
No problem man and I appreciate your comment and support.
Good video what part of Florida you in?
You were asking about the truck squatting under load. I install airlift 5000 air bags in my trucks and they work great! Get the compressor too. Without it you wind up not using them when you need them because its a pain to get air.
Thanks I will definitely be looking into getting some air bags
Love your videos, and love you preaching about Jesus Christ 💪🏼 for that…I smashed the like and subscribe button!
Welcome to the family!
Look at Sumo Springs or Timbren for load support. They replace the factory bump stops and work great.
I will look into them because I definitely need something
roadmaster active suspension is great for a no maintence and cheap squat assist
I will look into this thanks
Amen brother
🙏🏾
Get yourself a set of super springs. We use them on tow truck from all that weight hanging off the back. More reliable than airbags. Look them up I’m sure you’ll like how they perform.
I will definitely be looking into them 🙏🏾
I used to install air bag kits all the time on trucks like that . Would help with squatting
I definitely need one of those systems
You can get airbags to put on the back wheels to prevent the squatting. My dad uses them with his truck and 10,000 pound boat and they work great.
I’m definitely going to get some airbags
I would put some type of sheet or plywood on the windows for safety precautions. Don’t want to pay $1k window replacement bill.
Great video! Love seeing a young entrepreneur. Would you have some time to hop on a phone call to speak some about the dirt work industry?
Yeah I would email me at Global.LandscapersLLC@gmail.com
add your machine/ truck /trailer wear and tear. idk 100 bucks a job or so for.. maintenance and so on. good video
I already add that in there every time
SD truck spring upgrade springs to 350hd or 450 springs for a stronger more reliable ride. Or do air bags if you don't haul with it that serious.
I haul my skid and excavator so I think I’ll get the springs
Amen
🙏🏾🙏🏾
rear timbers for your truck help alot
I’ll look into them because I need something
Air bags 100% been running two Firestone units for years with no issues. Helper springs are cool until you’re driving unloaded and your truck is overly stiff. Airbags are adjustable on a per load basis so you’re always riding secured and level no matter your load.
I’ll probably get the air bags I’ve had a lot of people tell me good things about them
I don't believe air bags will help with sway. Weight distribution system does.
airbags or replace your factory bump stops, they’re about the same in the price but bump stops are less maintenance. look up Timbren and you’ll see them
I’ll look into the bump stops
Her yourself a helper leaf for the leaf springs on the truck. Doesn't affect the ride but helps the sag. Airbags next but a lot more expensive
I need this honestly
I put airbags on my dually to mitigate squat on the rear end
I definitely will invest in them soon
Sumo springs can help with the swatting.
I’ll look into them I haven’t heard of them before though
Definitely get an auto air lift system. Thats what I run on my truck. And get some rear drop leg jacks for that ironbull so you don’t keep destroying the back of the trailer when loading heavy equipment. The trailer should already have the pockets for it.
Yeah I’ve been looking into the air lift system and also I definitely need those jacks for my trailer because you are right in the back of my trailer it’s getting damaged.
The airbags are good with the squat issue
Already looking into getting them
AMEN
🙏🏾🙏🏾
@@EntreprenuerDavisit’s nice to see someone open about their faith. I greatly appreciate the message at the end. What you say does not go unnoticed.
My man. Good work. I think you could have charged $3k plus materials but all in all, you’re winning bro 🙏
Yeah I will keep this in mind for a future job but this customer in particular didn’t have a huge budget so I had to work with him a little bit
@@EntreprenuerDavis I get that a lot also. I find myself in a position where you don’t want to lose the job because it’s not too hard and you’re going to make good money still. Keep it up bud, at your age and level of hustle, when you get to my age you’ll be a beast. Congrats on your success.
Put some air bags under the rear. I retired from hauling RV’s across the country. Air ride suspension is the way to go!
I’ll take a look at air ride for sure
You could try installing towing bags? Or convert the back to a dually probably not cheap but just an idea
I’m looking into getting airbags now
when jackhammering near windows use plywood to cover the windows so if anything flys. it won’t break the windows
Noted I will keep this in mind for my next job thanks for the advice
stronger leaf springs for the rear of your truck or get air bags installed!
I will look into getting that done
Just try to leave your customers yard looking better than what you did. Make look good as possible. Did you offer to seed and straw? Could have been a few extra $. Word of mouth is a lot when a job is completed. Hope your business really takes off. Good luck young man.
I left it like that because he is having pavers installed at his home so he’s having another contract coming into install them and they have to put more material down
Nice job. What matters is keeping the commandments as He told us. 1 John 3:4-10
Exactly that’s is true but you can only know the commandments if you read the Bible and if you read the Bible you would read this as well it’s the key to life 🔑
I've never done skid steer work or excavation but if you only worked like 10 total hours that's like 200 an hour so after expenses I think you made out pretty good you made great profit and the customer liked the price
Thank you 🙏🏾
You can put in air bags on your truck and a compressor, fill them when you are loaded and it won't squat and will ride smoother
I am looking into getting them now
@EntreprenuerDavis that's good man, hope it helps. Love the videos, will be getting my own skid steer soon, i will keep watching your videos.
I would try and compact the soil in lifts.. I mean I guess it’s not a huge deal on something like this but it’s likely that a few months down the road and the customer will have some significant settling..around the hole you filled in. Which you could just come back and fill it in again if he wanted or at least to let the customer know ahead of time to expect some settlement.
He was getting pavers in his entire backyard
@@EntreprenuerDavis well there you go. You got it!
You might want to consider air shocks in the rear of your truck. They will lift up the rear end to where you want it. Keep up the good work Man of God.
I definitely will consider some airbags
@EntreprenuerDavis I had airbags for moving a 38' camper a few years back with a 2500 ram. It had the engine for it, but suspension needed help. It was a night and day difference. So happy with the upgrade
@@nickc7320 I am going to be getting some shortly
Jackhammer are expensive, for your area not bad.
Okay I didn’t even know I’ve never looked into it I guess but that’s good to know
Airbags in the back baby
I’m looking into get them now
Airlift bags 💯
I am looking to getting them
@EntreprenuerDavis air lift 7500 XL 100 % worth it !!easy to install to!!
@@mikediaz6588 thank you man I will look at them are they most powerful ones you can get?
@EntreprenuerDavis ya I believe so ! Those will go on the F250 or F350you can get the on board air you and fill up your tires with it I haul a dump trailer with the machine in it probably around 12k lbs and it sits level and if u need to u just add more air ! Or take some out for a smoother ride
Wassgood “ airbags
Thank you I will look into picking them up
Just want to share. Need to destroy the base otherwise that hole section will hold water. Burying the material is fine but you need to destroy the pools completely otherwise it will still hold the water. Additionally compact. The compaction of your skid is next to nothing. About 4 psi. You can do about 1 inch rises for every 1000psi. For a 4k plate compactor can compact about 4in of material! Keep husling and provide great work! You'll make it.
I put holes in the bottom of the pool because The customer could not afford to get the entire pool removed thank you for your advice
Get some air bags for your truck. They'll help while towing
I definitely will be looking into them
For squat get airbags or get a F350 or 450 dually or srw
I would love to get me an F-350 or even better and F-450 but there price tag is crazy so I’m going to have to settle for the airbags
There's air bags and there's air shocks. I use the latter. They're much less expensive and easy to put on.
Interesting I might look into that I didn’t know about it
You might add some leaf spring /air bags
That what I’ve been looking into
Try out the airlift xl to take the squat out of your truck
I’m looking into it now thank you for your advice
Airbags will get rid of the squat … I love mine
I investing in them currently
Never leave a rake on the ground,;those things can do some damage if you step on them. Over here in PA a full triaxle of topsoil cost about $500 which they bring you like 23 tons. Other than that amazing video brother keep it up 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Yeah I know about PA that’s where I’m from everything is super expensive compared to Florida but I’ll keep an eye out for the rake for now on.
@@EntreprenuerDavis oh that’s crazy! I had no idea, im located in bucks county so everything is super expensive. Yeah, man i saw this guy get a huge bruce on his forearm because when he stepped on it, it came back with so much force. Im also trying to reach your level 👌🏼. Hopefully this year im able to get an mt 100
Ride rite airbags. No questions asked they are worth every penny.
I need them badly
Load the skid steer further back on the trailer to have less of a squat
It’s the farthest back it can be I put the engine between the axles
nice work having a hard time finding jobs like these in south florida, any tips?

@@petidaweightslinger exactly brotha!
Helper air bags
I will look into it
Those numbers are doable-Take away the $500 for jack hammer rental-the $130 home depot hammer rental and all the time wasted running them down and the time picking up dirt when u had to have 18ton delivered anyway -then had to take time to get rid of the extra dirt-- 1 day job easily if all these are eliminated plus alot more profit.. To me its all about your time and managing it - There are enough things that can go left without us creating time sucking issues- im the worlds worse at that! You do like i do - Prepare by dropping equipment off day before and putting alot of thought onto it - I overthink alot of jobs and it usually works out in my favor as far as time management and if it dont then i LEARN from it.. Great video young man🤑
Thank you for your comment and advice would you suggest I buy the jack hammer attachment?
@@EntreprenuerDavis Well u would have to weigh how much you need one vs what one cost. When i buy attachments I always buy HD Always buy attachment designed for my machine and bigger - where my machine will run it on the low side but a bigger machine will run it better- With that being said it puts me in a spot that WHEN i upgrade my skid steer then all my attachments are good to go - So i only have to buy each attachment 1 time for life
@@rayrayslawnlandscape2008 makes sense and I’ve had my run around with the Chinese attachments I will never again get cheap attachments I will get used but never cheap again and I will weigh the pros and cons
@@EntreprenuerDavis right the last bucket i bought in November was $2200 for just a tooth bucket - Man My Svl75-3 can not bend it- warp it - its a beast.
I Bought a used power rake from Quick attach $8k.
A Hd Brush cutter/mulcher from MTL for $10k - A grapple bucket from MTL $3500-and i use it more than anything! had it for 5 years no issues!
@@rayrayslawnlandscape2008 yeah I’ve seen how good of a brand MTL is I’ve been thinking about buying there brush cutter things a beast
I enjoy your videos. Did you take the pool away or just bury it? Thanks!
I just buried the pool to help save on cost for the customer
Why didn't they hire someone to finish the pool? Total loss for them. Dayum.
@@firstname6208 because they tried and every contractor said they would have to take it out and redo it
Could you not add the attachment plus a premium to your overall charge? I’m starting my own business so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks for your videos
Yes you could have and I would usually do so but the customer only had a certain budget and your a point where you can still make great profit for one day and take a bit of a pay cut or not make anything at all
Air bags will help with the squat.
Looking into getting them now
did u take all the concrete away or did u bury it? and the one thing i would say is to compact it good or it will settle a lot in the 3 4 months but like the vids man keep them coming
I Buried the concrete and I compacted really well and I track it down so it’s compacted really well especially since I drove a 8,000 machine on top of it
Ok one more question for ya u from pa I saw there was pa license plates on your truck I live in pa
Yeah I am from PA that’s where I grew up at I’m from right outside of Philly
Get bags for your rear suspension
Looking into them now
Im not sure bro but you could of demoed the whole pool with the machine and im pretty sure 100% that you have to compact an old pool when your filling it up from layers and the grading it needs some more work you could of took out the patches of grass and made it look nice..
He putting pavers back there…
If they are installing pavers it's even more critical you achieve proper compaction. Standard code is 95%. Did you pull out and remove the rubble or bury it and all that rebar?
@@5TheFlyingFarmer5 listen man I gave him a deal that’s not my job I’ll leave that to the paver guys they’ll just charge more to do the correct job he told me to do it that way to save money if you were doing the job then you can do extra work for no extra money
@@EntreprenuerDavis not throwing shade, just trying to help educate and prevent callbacks or litigations and protect your reputation.
As far as squat on your truck, airbags are nice but make sure you include an onboard air system because they 100% will leak and constantly filling them up with a tire gauge is annoying. With an onboard air you can add and lower air pressure on the fly as your load changes. The other option is to add helper springs to your leaf spring pack.
Leaf springs for squats
I’ll be looking upgrade mine
Air bags for the rear
Yeah I’m going to invest in some of them for sure
Air bags will help with squat
What is the weight capacity of your trailer 14K ? 16K? And whay ply tires do you have on your trailer? 10 ply? 14ply? nect ect
12 ply and 14k
Definitely airbags
I I’ve been looking into them actually heard good things about them
Air bags help with squat
I am planning on getting them
Seeeing you run a hammer on that skid steer scared me a bit because your using it while next to a house and rocks can be shot out really hard and can shatter the glass. I only say this because I’ve been hit by the fragments on it and it fucking hurts. 😂
Yeah I’m not really an expert with the hammer I rarely use it but I’ve been told I need to be more careful so I don’t damage something and lose all my profit 😂
your trailering solution is called a Weight Distribution System. Level and safer travel!
I’m going to look more into it
@@EntreprenuerDavis A great weight distribution system is the BW continuum hitch. It is expensive, about $1400, but is easily adjustable via a hydraulic pump and sway control is good
Where do you work I’ve seen palm trees in some videos?
I work in central Florida
Air bags. Very cheap and can be self installed for squat.
Yes I looking into them right now
You are not accounting for daily equipment costs, rental, travel to the dump, and depreciation. For using rough numbers like you do, target $1500 after direct job costs to cover you wages and these other costs. Average out wage per hour to be sure your time is well covered. Remember tire shops charge $125/hr to change tires. You are doing more skilled labor and should average at least this.
Keep hustling. You are off to a great start.
Thank you for your advice I will definitely do this for now on.

How do you advertise? Or what companies sub work to you?
I made a video on this and I call around to local companies in my area doesn’t matter who it is
airbags will help.
Getting them shortly
DD help me understand something. You are adding your expenses into
the job quote aren’t you??? If not DD you should be even though you my have to estimate.
The squat in your rear end is because
you didn’t get a heavy duty truck. (FORD) you purchased the absolute wrong brand. You should have purchased a 2500 HD or 3500HD GMC or Chevrolet or a medium duty GMC 4500 5500 or 6500 with front and rear air ride diesel 4x4.
-Fuel
-Rental tools or equipment
-Material dirt gravel etc should be added to the quote even when you
first arrive at the Job site to start the
project that’s a change as well. Since
you asked I would have changed
$5,500.00 + all the extras mentioned above. Remember you have ware and tair on your equipment.
If you need a partner just let me know. I do have some equipment as well. At some point you will need a place to park/store your equipment and materials stockpiles.
Job well done. I like your work ethic. Keep it up and keep the faith and videos coming DD.
Where are you located and of course I add my expense into the quote that’s the only way I can come up with a number for my quote otherwise it was be a disaster
When factoring job costs, you need to factor in payments for the vehicle, equipment, trailer, etc, as well as wear/maintenance costs such as tracks, teeth, lubricants, etc. also, you mentioned that you only used $100 in fuel. Is that taking the cost of equipment fuel/diesel as well as all the fuel that you spent running around for material and equipment delivery/pickup?
Finally, you might want to consider a larger bucket for your skid steer. You could have gotten the material in place 2x faster and left a cleaner finished product
Yes that including all of the fuel because the skid only used a quarter of a tank all the rest was from driving with the truck and everything else I already factored in there I’m not going to be able to make all my payments off of 1 singular job but I can put a little bit towards it from each that I do
so you didn’t haul off the pool demo? seems like just a quick fix to me…that dirt and rubble will settle creating a swamp
I did not haul it off because the customer could not afford that and it will not create a swamp because I compacted it and I left holes at the bottom of the pool also the customer is putting paver throughout his whole back yard
Also the customer was looking for a quick fix this pool was half finished like this for a year
Air bags
I’ll be getting them soon
I did one without dirt and only charged 1000 so I think you did good but also didn't overcharge the customer
Thank you for your feedback because I was honestly curious I don’t want to charge to low and mess up the market
