As a girl with a truck NOBODY said the tires and speedometer thing !!! I had to find out passing a police trap that I’m damn there 10 mph off from stock to 37s big difference 😅
Good facts bro because my Silverado on 28s the speedometer is off by 4mph. I keep that in mind to compensate so that i am aware because these cops harass and assault enough in Georgia. Truck in the shop two times in one week and now waiting on engine backorder. Great video bro
@@KickinItWithQ yessir but it will still have them same unreliable lifters lol. Definitely ready to get it back and the fact it will be new engine still will be a good feeling regardless of the unreliable dod lifters in these new CHEVIES and gmc. Im 12 and im thinking abt what I wanna do to my truck when I'm in highschool. And this vid really helped me out, now I know what to expect. Thank you man.
All so true bro.. finally got my 1500 lifted and everything you said was spot on. I can def feel the weight but I’m surprised that I still have some good torque and speed, not as dramatic as I thought, but def feel the difference in handling. I really like the suspension now with the lift. I have a 6 inch RC lift on 35s with RC UCA’s and RC struts and Coils. Great video as always ✊🏽
Nice set up, bro! With 35s it wasn’t too bad and if you have a eco-boost they still can perform pretty well with the bigger wheels and tires. When you step up to 37 and 24 x 14 it’ll still move but you can feel the weight.
I've got a 1500 Sierra 5.3, I plan to lift mine too soo but was going to go with a 6in BDS with upgraded Fox 2.0 shocks and leaf springs to try and get as good of ride quality as I can. I'll be going with 35s as well
@@rizescrappy8729 nice ! We got the same truck. I got the elevation. We’ll pretty much have the same setup but you got the more expensive kit. 😅 ride quality for me isn’t bad. But, I am gonna get a McGaughys later so RC just made more sense for me right now to get a feel for the lift bc I never had a lifted truck before I spend insane money lol.. I’m already $8k in on my setup.
getting a lifted truck this week! Not anything too huge but the height is definitely something i’m not used to coming from a sedan. This video was extremely helpful thank you!
I kept distance between me and a car at front every time and most of the time some little car will just cut in between me and the car at the front. I leave a safe distance but people kept jump in as it was an invitation 🤨
Yoo Q your videos are great man I’m a college student and recently got a ram 1500 hemi. Your videos motivated me to get mines lifted. Keep up the great work
Thank you bro!!! For the video, I just bought mines lifted & first truck owner F150 V8 Coyote, lifted with bigger tires, so learning the setup, language, and yes driving is a huge difference. I have been driving an Acura RSX 2 door for the last 10 years and Camaro, lol 😆
I just got me a 2023 black widow V8 F150 with 6” lift and 37’s and it definitely takes some time to pick up speed and slow down too. Nothing compared to my 2016 ecoboost.
Houston drivers are bad too bro. Also, going through the toll road is very narrow too but my tires don’t stick out as much as yours so it’s not too bad when I go through construction areas. I also have BLIS so that helps me a lot when cars try to sneak upon me especially with having 5% tint all around me.
Great video man! So many helpful points that are spot on. I had a Rubicon on 1 tons and 40's, it was def a learning process for on road feel. Keep up the great vids!
I purposely went with 24x12s - 35s maximum on a 6” lift. This really puts less strain on all of the truck engine and other parts. Im also loving these vertex coilovers too. It really feels like a new factory ride, but I’m lifted.😎
Great vid! What would be your advice on the proper handling of a truck with a NINE inch lift? And would switching the steering wheel for a larger one help? I inherited a family members customized Ford Bronco, and while I'm no longer scared of driving it..lol..it still can be pretty challenging. It's not a daily driver, but the days that I DO take it out, its size can be very imposing to people, not to mention the fact that you can't go everywhere you'd like.
Honestly just take it slow I’m not sure C what kit it has on there but can definitely always upgrade to coilovers if you don’t have them. Umm steering wheel would be your call if it feels better in your hand. Definitely plan your routes accordingly as you said can’t fit everywhere so definitely be mindful of that
@KickinItWithQ thanks! It's a Skyjacker lift. Re. the steering wheel, it looks like I'm stuck with it. The place that replaced my steering column replaced it with a non adjustable one, and it is now stuck in lowered position (an absolutely HORRIBLE auto shop that I now have to sue for the various other things they did incorrectly to my truck..) and a bigger one wouldn't even fit now. Thanks again for the advice!

I do have to say when driving in my car people don't cut me off as much as they do when I'm in my truck. It's crazy how they will cut you off and slam on the brakes. They need to make a law where its 100% their fault if caught on the dash cam cutting someone off and hitting the brakes.
It's impossible to maintain safe following distance because everyone cuts you off. Honestly it's less dangerous for me to tailgate rather than have people cut me off and slam on their brakes.
Keeping the distance is a MUST, especially in DFW. 75, 30, 635, etc. ALL BAD! Lol
