Inflation & cost of living is a world wide problem. Got to wonder who makes these vids. All beautiful cities. The bit about Melbourne where you stopped and said the water and city view is beautiful- that is where the Formula 1 Grand Prix is raced. Race cars go on the road around the lake with the city skyscrapers in the background. When it’s not a race track it’s used for commuters like myself. Albert Park Lake is beautiful. This video is mostly misleading. When I married in the early 1970s, housing in Australia was an issue. Baby boomers galore were coming into the housing market. Supply wasn't keeping up with demand. So it was a case of starting small in 'burbs' you found 'challenging', but affordable, to begin your way working up in the property market ladder. Which we did. Today, young people want it all now. Ain't going to happen. And owning your own home, no matter where and what country you live in, doesn't come easy. And my last piece of advice for my American friends, avoid like the death plague anything remotely connected to a Home Owners Association. There be dragons and crazy people.
We dont see many homeless in Australian cities. Maybe they are all under the briges or something. They can't just pitch a tent on the footpath they will be moved on if they do.

I did see some homeless sleeping on the street one early morning that was until a city council street sweeper truck drove by and started spraying water at them

@@VivitStudios YEah man,, AU is bad unless you are wealthy.. People with jobs live in tents.. We have had millions of immigrants come in the last 5-10 years and no homes were built. We have had governments obsessed with their own financial gain and the country is being run into the ground.
