- From a rare 8mm film w/synchronized sound, here is ROY BUCHANAN with his careworn vintage Fender Telecaster. The sound isn't matched up as well as it could be, nevertheless, any footage of the Telecaster Master is priceless!
I was fortunate enough to meet Roy back in 1985, and the first thing he said to me after sizing me up was "You look like a Stratocaster player!" Roy always gave his fans some of his time, and treated me as if I were a friend he hadn't seen in years. He told me all about the Gold Top Les Paul Anniversary he just bought, and that it would be on his next album cover (indeed it was pictured on the "Dancing On The Edge" album cover quite prominently). One thing I particularly remember about meeting Roy were his eyes: they were the deepest blue eyes I had ever seen, very intense, just like his guitar playing.

This upload, that you so graciously shared with me, just made my day.. thank you so much mate. i also truely loved your story in your description! i'd never had a chance to meet such a blues god on such a personal level. i DID, however, get to shake the hand of Mr. David Gilmour after a show in London (appropriately called the 'Pulse' Tour) in 1994. A very heart warming time of my life, Mr Gilmour is a role-model in my life, and truely the Fender-master in my eyes.. but GREAT GREAT upload mate!
