Nah you literally see Adult B everywhere like have you not been in the fandom ?? Besides Adult B is such a boring character, no flavour. Adult F was miles better and had better development but yall sleep on them because they aren’t hot.

I find Akane's backstory really sad. She didn't bother making many friends or learning names because she lived in a pretty bad area growing up where it wasn't uncommon to find a dead body and sexual abuse became normal to her. She deserves way more love.

I'm so sad at how unpopular Nekomaru is. On my first playthrough he was one of the characters that I did all the FTE for and hes genuinely a honest, very caring person. He was just as brave as Gundham in 2-4. As someone who loves shonen I love how they made him so overtop design wise. It seems to be parodying anime/manga like Fist of the North Star. (he has lightening eyebrows!! What more can one want??)
I think it's more that Mukuro just isn't in the game. She's always posing as another and they negated her power. She has one of the strongest combat abilities in the series, but they don't use it.
The saddest thing about Hifumi, I think, there could have been and how much the fandom seems to overlook the few things that are there, even if not very explored: - his loneliness: Hifumi has close to no relationship with anyone in the group, and I think his attachement to Alter Ego, someone finally acknowledging him, was meant to bounce from that. - His willingness to help. In DG1, most character don't do anything for the class trial. You get their account, they say dumb things in the trials, done. Or, on the other hand, they are very invested and practically solves the murders on their own, like Byakuya or Kyoko. However, Hifumi is the only one to always be active during the investigation, without being godlike. In 1-1, he helps a lot with the incinerator thingy, and in 1-2, finds the Monopad in front of the gym, a vital clue in your investigation. While not understanding everything, he still does the most of what he can - Still on the helpful side, Hifumi almost always tries to help the community. He took the cleaning duty on his own, without bragging about it to anyone. He also gave away his own camera to everyone without expecting anything in return. It's like he wants to be acknowledged for his work, which holds up with the loneliness point I brought up earlier. - He wants to be a hero. It's pretty obvious in the game, with how he sometimes talk in a deep voice, tries to help, and his FTE. I think, after being rejected by everyone and hearing about Taka raping Celeste, that it was his motive for the murder plan. If no one beside Celeste was going to acknowledge him, then so be it. So there's my piece on Hifumi. I still don't think he's well written, but people often dismiss him for having nothing to his character aside from his perversion, and I find that just unfair. If you look into him a little bit more, there's quite a lot to his character, but the game doesn't really show it well
Yeah, he really doesn't deserve so much hate. He isn't one of my favourites but I think all the danganronpa characters had a lot of thought put into their designs, personalities and backstories. The main reasons I don't like Hifumi a lot are him killing Taka and misgendering Chihiro but I still believe he deserves more love than he gets.
@@Matt60719 Honestly, I'd love a remake of the first game where they refine the "lesser" characters, and add the "consent" truth bullet, it would do so much good for the serie I think. It would be easier to get people into the liscence. Leon, Hifumi, Sayaka and Yasuhiro would greatly benefit it, and changing a few stuff could make the trial far more engaging, like not making it as obivous about 1-1 or 1-3 killer, something the Danganronpa team could pull off very well with their experience. Also fun Hifumi fact: before dying, the killing blow he received made him remember all the lost memories of Hopes Peak (including Celeste's name), which is one of your first big hint toward the amnesia stuff, with the photos.

Agreed on all points! Sidenote: I only started piecing together how well thought out his character was when I noticed why his voice actor did all these different voices for one guy. Lucien Dodge is amazing and it's sad people only like him for K1-B0 when he's previously displayed his skill on a character like Hifumi.
I love Himiko, I did not know she was unpopular. As someone who normally don't like the popular characters for some odd reason I am surprised like Chikai, Nagito and Hajime. Edit: my fave character now is Kiibo he is adorable and funny :D.
Himiko's one of my V3 favorites as well. Sure she is kinda one note at the beginning but she really does grow as a character and I swear has some of the funniest lines in the series next to Kokichi. Also this is probably irrelevant but I swear she looks exactly like a girl I dated in high school...same hair, same tired eyes, even the "donkey lips" lol.
People need to understand that Angie didn't know *how* to help. However, she went with what she knew how to do. Atua brought her strength and peace in the Killing Game.

Toko was pretty meh until genocide Jill showed up. From there she was just great. I’ve yet to play despair girls so my opinion may change, but I feel like she was mostly great in the first game ^^
The sad part is that Mikan wanted to be loved by everyone but she is very hated in the fandom because of her "fan-service", she is one of my favorite characters and not only because of how good the character is, it's also because I felt bad for her
I’ve been seeing a lot more Yasuhiro love recently, and it’s incredible. Ever since the start, he was one of my favourites, to the extent that he was the only character i wanted to spend my free time with from chapter 3 onwards.
akane is my favorite character out of the entire series and i very much agree with the placement of her as an unpopular character. she just gets so little love :( it could be because of her forgettable design, or the fact that a lot of people find her useless, but honestly i disagree with those points. i love her design a lot because of how simple it is, and when she goes with her gut in the class trials, she's never wrong!
Leon, Angie and Mukuro deserve so much love. Leon and Mukuro were actually my favourites in the first game despite them having not a lot of screen time. I've found Angie to be hated a lot cause of the whole cult thing but she was trying to make sure a murder wouldn't happen by limiting their ability to go out at night. I also really appreciated that she was trying to raise Rantaro back from the dead and it was one of the reasons I was mad at Korekiyo. Anyway, I love Mukuro, Angie and Leon and I think they deserve so much more love than they get.
Also what separates Angie religion form others I never saw it as a cult. She for me is one of my favorite female characters in the entire series only behind chiaki(I know very original)

I absolutely adore Nekomaru and I think it's really sad that he doesn't get much love. While I was in line to meet his VA at a convention to get my SDR2 Vita copy signed, another fan of Patrick Seitz asked me who he played in DR and when I said he played Nidai, she told me she disliked him (she was super rude about it, not a fun wait in line). It would have ruined my day if I wasn't so elated by having met Seitz.

Alright I don’t know how much hate I’m gonna get for this but... I really like Tenko and I guess I kinda understand why people might not like her but I am surprised by how many people dislike her
I really dislike how she spends most of the time derailing the conversation to either shit on men or creep on Himiko. When she doesn't do that, she's... Fine, I guess. But it happens very rarely
I just hate her "degenerate males" gimmick as she doesn't really explain why she hates men in the first place. Hell, I spent some free time with her as Suichi to find out why but she ended up knocking him out and I pretty much said "nope" to spending any more free time with her. And yeah I hated how she kept trying to force her friendship upon Himiko and was REALLY annoying during Chapter 2. But her death did leave me in tears when she did reveal she was genuinely trying to look out for Himiko.
I love Tenko! Usually I can see past annoying aspects of characters and just see em for their personality. And I agree with you This is probably even more unpopular but I think Tenko is best girl from V3
Pierre Courtois I think you can tell that she does actually care about most of the cast: she tries to comfort shuichi after Kaede died, she was ready to fight the exisals to try and protect Kaede, she was willing to give up her life for Kirumi to survive and was trying to help Himiko throughout the game until she died for example the chapter 2 trial and her final words to her before she died. Also, SeEsAw
Leon: Man while he dies so early, I did enjoy what little he brought. Hifumi: Honesty don't mind him, even with his negatives. Hagakure: While an idiot, he was our idiot, and he was just plain fun. Shame he didn't get much screentime in the Danganronpa 3 anime. Mukuro: Danganronpa IF and the Danganronpa 3 anime were pretty much what made her character great. Still wish we could have seen more of her though. Teruteru: While there are more reasons to hate him, I found him to be really entertaining with his schemes, his murder plan was great and he had a pretty good story for so little screen time he had. Ultimate Imposter: It's hard to get into him, but he was an alright character. Do find his small chats with Hajime really interesting looking back. Akane: I just hate her personally. I normally found her annoying, most jokes weren't funny, she had a deus ex machina gut feeling, wasn't really interested in her backstory from what I remember, and I never got into her relationship with Nekomaru. It felt like a copy paste of Aoi and Sakura, and what didn't help was it felt worse, with Akane being idiotic about it, especially when Nekomaru becomes a robot, and doesn't really do much with him, blanking on Fuyuhiko's advice and then when Nekomaru dies again, it doesn't have the same impact. Plus.... that cry..... THAT DARN CRYING SOUND EFFECT SHE HAS!!!! Female surviving cast was pretty bad overall at the end of DR2 honestly. Nekomaru:.... Ok this character is a lot better than Akane, and enjoyed him a bunch... just a shame he only appears in two trials because he was a more interesting character and was fun to see him have fun with life. Tsumugi: Honestly.... she is one of my favourites of the DRV3 cast.... and I can never pinpoint why. Is it because she is a weeb? Is it because she is so normal for most of the game. Is it her design? or do I really enjoy her as a villain and the rivalry I felt in the final battle (I really enjoyed how she was using Danganronpa Characters to throw insults and it felt like a really cool rivalry at the end). While she's probably dead, she is someone I would like to see more of, to see how she became like this. Angie: This character is one I have gone through mixed motions with. Fun during first couple of chapters, hated her tons in Chapter 3, turned my thinking she was a good antagonist doing things for her own goals, but then just came down to not really liking her much. She does have a good voice actor though and makes her dialogue fun. Himiko Yumeno The Ultimate Mage: Honestly my favourite character of DRV3. Enjoy tons of her voice lines that are so fun to say. Nyeh? It's Magic! Such a pain... but I also enjoy her character arc and was happily surprised when she survived the game. Her free time events were fun from what I remember and it was nice to see her grow throughout the game from being lazy to depressed with her being accused multiple times and her magic show being ruined, and then getting passed that, expressing her emotions and becoming more active in the group. Monotaro: While I prefer Monokid and my personal favourite Monosuke. Monotaro was fun especially when he was a temporary ally with helping the cast. and those darn death flags. Honestly overall liked the Monokubs even if they didn't do much in the story overall. and while I won't list all the Danganronpa 3 anime cast, I wish Maiya had something to make us relate to the already dead girl at the start of the anime, and gosh darn do I hate Munakata and never really agreed with him and what he did. Kinda felt like a low budget Byakuya, and hated how he survived. But those are my opinions. I would also add Hiyoko, since she seems unpopular. I always enjoyed all the trouble she causes, and was sad that she didn't get much character development due to being killed in Chapter 3... for no reason but just witnessing the murder cause apartment buildings don't have mirrors. Would of happily sacrificed Akane and/or Sonia for Hiyoko to be a survivor.
I personally like the Ultimate Imposter more than Byakuya himself, since Twogami actually cares and takes responsibility of the team. I know why Togami is pretty cold-hearted, but DAMN I love Twogami more.
Honestly I like the anime despite it's script being that weird (English dub, I'm looking at you) and loads of other things. It really did give us bit more info on the Danganronpa lore. Also, Imposter and Ryota's friendship,,, the Future Foundation members,,, :')
Imposter and Ryota are the most wholesome duo in the series imo (after Taka and Mondo ofc), and I'm so happy they had a happy ending. Most of the Future Foundation characters were pretty great, except some,, (I'm looking at you Ruruka and Chisa) and they deserved so much better, but their sacrifices kinda helped the world according to Tengan ig, so,, Also Izayoi is one of my all time favourites and he's a sweetheart that deserves the entire universe
I love hagakure, even If this is a werid claim but I think he is the nicest survivor. The ultimate imposter I love him way more then the real byakuya. Akane she was best girl for me in the 2nd game she was amazing, Nekumaru I love him to he was hilarious and so flippin interesting. Angie she was an amazing antagonist

Angie was the first danganronpa character that I LEGITIMATELY despised, whenever a murder occurred I always felt SORT of bad even for characters I didn't care for that much, but Angie was the first death that I genuinely cheered about, something about her just pissed me off beyond compare 😂 easily my least favourite character in the Danganronpa series, also, justice for Himiko! My second most favourite character (chihiro smol bean being my first choice) in the series and I was beyond excited to FINALLY have one of my favourites survive the killing game even with as many deaths as there are in V3 🤡
I absolutely love Sayaka, Mukuro and Leon. If only they lived a little bit longer and got some time to develop their characters.. . Well, Mukuro got her time to shine in the IF novel and sorta in Despair/Future anime but that's about it, would've been cool if it was more... I really liked the Sayaka twist where she tried to frame Makoto for murder, I think it really ads to the depth of her character and the 1st chapter of the game is fully dedicated to her and her struggles, she was a complex character. Leon is just a bro, I liked his energy, I feel like if he survived, he would've been a "Kaito" of the group, too bad that he and Sayaka both were the victims of the situation. I was neutral towards Imposter until I saw the anime, their development there was brilliant and sad ;( I think Akane was a wasted potential, they could've done so much more with her and Nekomaru death arc. Also, her gut feeling was helpful during the trials, unlike Hiro. I hated Tsumugi at first cuz she killed my favorites Rantaro and Kaede, V3's cast is my favorite and every death made me sad and I was so mad at Tsumugi for orchestrating this killing game, but then I looked at her character from a different perspective and then I realized that she's such a complex character, I started loving her. Same with Himiko, I hated her at the beginning, but her emotional breakout and development in chapter 3 was such pure gold that it made me change my views on her.

The first two chapters from each game are basically the ones with characters that deserved more development and screen time before their death. Especially for Sayaka, Leon, Mukuro (at least she had a major role on the anime), Chihiro, Mahiru, Rantaro, Ryoma and Kirumi
Monotaro is easily the best character and you can fite me on that. Monotaro is often compared to Todoroki but that isn't accurate. Unlike Todoroki, Monotaro is a actual good character. His forgetfulness makes him really adorable in my opinion, especially in the 4th chapter when he decided that Miu and Keebo were his parents. He was also incredibly useful in the 4th trial cause he wanted to get revenge for his dead mommy and ended up getting alot of clues about the virtual world. It's sad that they killed him off in the 4th chapter but at least he lasted the longest. Also, he's got the best design out of all the Monokubs and he's honestly really cute. Overall he is a really unique character and made the game really fun.
Monotaro is still better than some others from v3 smh,, he did nothing wrong other than being one of monokumas children, he deserved better than dying from incest bug baby :(
Not really, I think most people appreciate her for her backstory. She was just known as the food girl in the game, but it actually makes alot of sense if you read about her on the wiki or play her FTEs on Island mode.
Honestly I'm really happy that most of the underrated characters, like maybe Angie (very much biased on my part) or Mukuro, were finally mentioned bc there are those who have a great character and actually contributed to something but were just completely ignored or hated on by the fandom
Nekomaru is one of those characters I always forget exists, but when I remember him I'm always like "Oh yeah I love that guy!" My theory as to why he's an easy one to forget is cause he is kinda the "Sakura" character of DR2....in DR1 Sakura, or "Ogre", is just so damn lovable, especially after her ultimate sacrifice. Gonta from V3 also falls into this category, and while you could argue Gonta is kinda one note with his bug obsession and Tarzan-like behavior, he's also just a really lovable character, and his story arc is just about as sad if not more sad than Sakura's...it's arguably the most depressing moment of V3 and it leaves a huge impact, making Gonta a tough one to forget. Nekomaru is also a nice likable character but when you compare him to Sakura and Gonta he doesn't stack up as well, at least in my opinion. Sure his shit jokes are funny and the whole "Mechamaru" thing was kinda humorous, but I also think that's why his death doesn't leave as big of an impact cause he becomes less human before he's "murdered", so it's hard to feel as upset over him. I still like him as a character and think he's cool, but I can understand why people forget about him, cause I do too til I watch videos like this.

Angie is not only best girl in V3, she's also the silent MVP. She correctly called a big thing about the mastermind in trial 1, she also correctly saw through the flashback lights. Plus she's all about love, devotion and everyone being happy. Hura-hura

I've watched a lot of Danganronpa V3 lps and alongside Gonta, Himiko was one of the most popular characters and the lpers adore her especially after her character development after Chapter 3 Though, I'll be honest, if I were to replace one of the three survivors with someone, it's definitely Himiko with Gonta.

From what I can tell are Shuichi, Kokichi. I think they're significantly more popular than the other v3 characters.
I actually really like Izayoi for some reason, he's loyal and devoted to Ruruka even though she doesn't deserve him. I also quite like Miaya's design, it's just unfortunate that we didn't get to see the real Miaya.
Yeah, Izayoi was a great character. He was incredibly loyal to Ruruka even when she killed him. His death was really sad to me and finding out the person who he loved the most had killed him was really shocking and made me dislike Ruruka. Gekkogahara was one of my favourites from dr3, even though she was just a robot controlled by Monaca she was still really kind and supportive and ended up being a really great character in my opinion. Dr3 characters truly deserve more love.

I genuinely love Leon’s design and the fact that he wanted to change his own talent, he could’ve had such an interesting arc if he lived. Hiro isn’t exactly the sharpest knife in the kitchen, but I really like him? I love gentle giant sorts of characters and Hiro fits that bill for me while also being a kind and funny person. They’d make my list of favourite characters for sure.
When I was first watching a danganronpa let's play, as soon as I saw leon i was way to much in love. like I may love gundham more than leon, but leon is very much my favorite v1 character alongside ishimaru. leon just has such a interesting character for me. akane is also one of my few favorite girl characters. I love her relationship with nekomaru, and she just always had a piece in my heart for her. angie is also such a fun character. like at first I didn't like her, but as soon as I finished the first trial, I fell in love with her. also her starting a cult was really entertaining to me. I just love her. tsumugi is also such a cute and loveable character to me, I love them all lol, also himiko is easily on my top 10 characters. same with leon and akane.

I don't get how people could dislike the anime I liked it. Yeah it's pretty different compared to daganronpa anywhere else but I feel like it had some great action, good character building, interesting plot twists. I'd rather watch the anime than play parts of the games.
Everything you said about it is in the first game. And that why it kinda sucks. It's just a rushed discount copy that lacks all the character development and characterization from the game.
O_O This is the first time I've seen one of your videos, when you asked "Who's your favorite Danganronpa character", I said "Kazuichi Soda", and then, I'm immediately met with your comment. I was quite shocked... Especially since I never encounter anyone else who likes him. When I did the first game, I paid absolutely no attention at all to Yasuhiro, because I truly believed he would not survive, and thus I never paid him any mind. At the end, when he survived, I honestly had no idea who he was. No, seriously. I would OFTEN forget he existed, and question why he was even still there. He was honestly my least favorite character, but recently I have gained some appreciation for his character. I have honestly always liked Teruteru and Akane.
Best girl is Tsumugi and I have multiple reasons why but I’m not gonna go into detail, all I’m gonna say is that I think Tsumugi used Junko as a cover up. Either that or Tsumugi died and Junko just disguised herself as Tsumugi for the rest of the game. I just really fucking love Tsumugi. Either her or Himiko.
Yasuhiro is the "comic relief" of DR1. The problem with that is that Genocide Jack plays that role too, and much, *much* better. I get that she isn't always there because of Toko, but that makes the moments when she DOES make an appearance even better and/or funnier. Plus, she isn't dumb. She gives you actually good possibilities (unlike Toko, who usually sides with the rest because of her past and stuff watch a Toko Fukawa analysis or something) and finds a way to usually add a funny note to it without ruining the atmosphere of the class trial, like: Laughing hysterically after her sentence Talking very fast (usually also including a kinda funny emote) When talking about others, giving them funny names or mocking them. From what I've seen, Genocide Jack is the biggest reason why Yasuhiro is so unpopular, followed by his horrible personality in the light novel of DRAE, and his stupidity. (And I couldn't agree more Genocide Jack is absolutely amazing.)
People grouch about Yasuhiro and Kazuichi, but I think the games need them. In a scary situation, you need someone to actually be scared. Himiko just kind of runs out of stuff to do after the third trial. So she's one of those survivors where you feel like she's taking up space that someone else could have taken.
I weirdly see quite a good amount of love for Ryoma, like randomly stumbling over people liking him on places that are not specifically Danganronpa related. I've never felt like he was unpopular so I was surprised!
*sees Angie, Tsumugi and Himiko* But... my babies... They were, mostly, such good characters... Himiko had the biggest character development in the game alongside Shuichi. At first, she was completely against cooperating because she felt unmotivated and sometimes even a bit depressed but her friendships with Tenko and Angie really helped her open up and see the good things in life worth fighting for Tsumugi was plain and boring but that was her whole stick. She was so smart and it was nice to see her interact with the rest. Angie was pretty extreme but always had her own, but also the group's, well-being in mind. The council was a big deal but, again, with the best intention and the whole Atua brainwashing thing was, to me, just her trying to cheer up the people in need of motivation, comfort and someone to turn to.
For real!!! Mondo isn't that loved and is only remembered or known for the jokes and the ships it sucks because hes such an amazing character :) he deserves more love. He's my favorite character of dr1 or in general hehe

I find Akane's backstory really sad. She didn't bother making many friends or learning names because she lived in a pretty bad area growing up where it wasn't uncommon to find a dead body and sexual abuse became normal to her. She deserves way more love.

I'm so sad at how unpopular Nekomaru is. On my first playthrough he was one of the characters that I did all the FTE for and hes genuinely a honest, very caring person. He was just as brave as Gundham in 2-4. As someone who loves shonen I love how they made him so overtop design wise. It seems to be parodying anime/manga like Fist of the North Star. (he has lightening eyebrows!! What more can one want??)
He was just overshadowed by other characters like nagito and gundham. Which makes me sad. Because hes my favorite character in daganronpa

I think it's more that Mukuro just isn't in the game. She's always posing as another and they negated her power. She has one of the strongest combat abilities in the series, but they don't use it.

The saddest thing about Hifumi, I think, there could have been and how much the fandom seems to overlook the few things that are there, even if not very explored:
- his loneliness: Hifumi has close to no relationship with anyone in the group, and I think his attachement to Alter Ego, someone finally acknowledging him, was meant to bounce from that.
- His willingness to help. In DG1, most character don't do anything for the class trial. You get their account, they say dumb things in the trials, done. Or, on the other hand, they are very invested and practically solves the murders on their own, like Byakuya or Kyoko. However, Hifumi is the only one to always be active during the investigation, without being godlike. In 1-1, he helps a lot with the incinerator thingy, and in 1-2, finds the Monopad in front of the gym, a vital clue in your investigation. While not understanding everything, he still does the most of what he can
- Still on the helpful side, Hifumi almost always tries to help the community. He took the cleaning duty on his own, without bragging about it to anyone. He also gave away his own camera to everyone without expecting anything in return. It's like he wants to be acknowledged for his work, which holds up with the loneliness point I brought up earlier.
- He wants to be a hero.
It's pretty obvious in the game, with how he sometimes talk in a deep voice, tries to help, and his FTE. I think, after being rejected by everyone and hearing about Taka raping Celeste, that it was his motive for the murder plan. If no one beside Celeste was going to acknowledge him, then so be it.
So there's my piece on Hifumi. I still don't think he's well written, but people often dismiss him for having nothing to his character aside from his perversion, and I find that just unfair. If you look into him a little bit more, there's quite a lot to his character, but the game doesn't really show it well
Yeah, he really doesn't deserve so much hate. He isn't one of my favourites but I think all the danganronpa characters had a lot of thought put into their designs, personalities and backstories. The main reasons I don't like Hifumi a lot are him killing Taka and misgendering Chihiro but I still believe he deserves more love than he gets.
@@Matt60719 Honestly, I'd love a remake of the first game where they refine the "lesser" characters, and add the "consent" truth bullet, it would do so much good for the serie I think. It would be easier to get people into the liscence. Leon, Hifumi, Sayaka and Yasuhiro would greatly benefit it, and changing a few stuff could make the trial far more engaging, like not making it as obivous about 1-1 or 1-3 killer, something the Danganronpa team could pull off very well with their experience.
Also fun Hifumi fact: before dying, the killing blow he received made him remember all the lost memories of Hopes Peak (including Celeste's name), which is one of your first big hint toward the amnesia stuff, with the photos.

Agreed on all points! Sidenote: I only started piecing together how well thought out his character was when I noticed why his voice actor did all these different voices for one guy. Lucien Dodge is amazing and it's sad people only like him for K1-B0 when he's previously displayed his skill on a character like Hifumi.

Himiko's one of my V3 favorites as well. Sure she is kinda one note at the beginning but she really does grow as a character and I swear has some of the funniest lines in the series next to Kokichi. Leon, Angie and Mukuro deserve so much love. Leon and Mukuro were actually my favourites in the first game despite them having not a lot of screen time. I've found Angie to be hated a lot cause of the whole cult thing but she was trying to make sure a murder wouldn't happen by limiting their ability to go out at night. I also really appreciated that she was trying to raise Rantaro back from the dead and it was one of the reasons I was mad at Korekiyo. Anyway, I love Mukuro, Angie and Leon and I think they deserve so much more love than they get.

While I was in line to meet his VA at a convention to get my SDR2 Vita copy signed, another fan of Patrick Seitz asked me who he played in DR and when I said he played Nidai, she told me she disliked him (she was super rude about it, not a fun wait in line). I just hate her "degenerate males" gimmick as she doesn't really explain why she hates men in the first place. Hell, I spent some free time with her as Suichi to find out why but she ended up knocking him out and I pretty much said "nope" to spending any more free time with her. And yeah I hated how she kept trying to force her friendship upon Himiko and was REALLY annoying during Chapter 2. But her death did leave me in tears when she did reveal she was genuinely trying to look out for Himiko.

Pierre Courtois I think you can tell that she does actually care about most of the cast: she tries to comfort shuichi after Kaede died, she was ready to fight the exisals to try and protect Kaede, she was willing to give up her life for Kirumi to survive and was trying to help Himiko throughout the game until she died for example the chapter 2 trial and her final words to her before she died.

Leon: Man while he dies so early, I did enjoy what little he brought.
Hifumi: Honesty don't mind him, even with his negatives.
Hagakure: While an idiot, he was our idiot, and he was just plain fun. Shame he didn't get much screentime in the Danganronpa 3 anime.
Mukuro: Danganronpa IF and the Danganronpa 3 anime were pretty much what made her character great. Still wish we could have seen more of her though.
Teruteru: While there are more reasons to hate him, I found him to be really entertaining with his schemes, his murder plan was great and he had a pretty good story for so little screen time he had.
Ultimate Imposter: It's hard to get into him, but he was an alright character. Do find his small chats with Hajime really interesting looking back.
Akane: I just hate her personally. I normally found her annoying, most jokes weren't funny, she had a deus ex machina gut feeling, wasn't really interested in her backstory from what I remember, and I never got into her relationship with Nekomaru. It felt like a copy paste of Aoi and Sakura, and what didn't help was it felt worse, with Akane being idiotic about it, especially when Nekomaru becomes a robot, and doesn't really do much with him, blanking on Fuyuhiko's advice and then when Nekomaru dies again, it doesn't have the same impact. Plus.... that cry..... THAT DARN CRYING SOUND EFFECT SHE HAS!!!! Female surviving cast was pretty bad overall at the end of DR2 honestly.
Nekomaru:.... Ok this character is a lot better than Akane, and enjoyed him a bunch... just a shame he only appears in two trials because he was a more interesting character and was fun to see him have fun with life.
Tsumugi: Honestly.... she is one of my favourites of the DRV3 cast.... and I can never pinpoint why. Is it because she is a weeb? Is it because she is so normal for most of the game. Is it her design? or do I really enjoy her as a villain and the rivalry I felt in the final battle (I really enjoyed how she was using Danganronpa Characters to throw insults and it felt like a really cool rivalry at the end). While she's probably dead, she is someone I would like to see more of, to see how she became like this.
Angie: This character is one I have gone through mixed motions with. Fun during first couple of chapters, hated her tons in Chapter 3, turned my thinking she was a good antagonist doing things for her own goals, but then just came down to not really liking her much. She does have a good voice actor though and makes her dialogue fun.
Himiko Yumeno The Ultimate Mage: Honestly my favourite character of DRV3. Enjoy tons of her voice lines that are so fun to say. Nyeh? It's Magic! Such a pain... but I also enjoy her character arc and was happily surprised when she survived the game. Her free time events were fun from what I remember and it was nice to see her grow throughout the game from being lazy to depressed with her being accused multiple times and her magic show being ruined, and then getting passed that, expressing her emotions and becoming more active in the group.
Monotaro: While I prefer Monokid and my personal favourite Monosuke. Monotaro was fun especially when he was a temporary ally with helping the cast. and those darn death flags. Honestly overall liked the Monokubs even if they didn't do much in the story overall.
and while I won't list all the Danganronpa 3 anime cast, I wish Maiya had something to make us relate to the already dead girl at the start of the anime, and gosh darn do I hate Munakata and never really agreed with him and what he did. Kinda felt like a low budget Byakuya, and hated how he survived.
But those are my opinions. I would also add Hiyoko, since she seems unpopular. I always enjoyed all the trouble she causes, and was sad that she didn't get much character development due to being killed in Chapter 3... for no reason but just witnessing the murder cause apartment buildings don't have mirrors. Would of happily sacrificed Akane and/or Sonia for Hiyoko to be a survivor.

Honestly I like the anime despite it's script being that weird (English dub, I'm looking at you) and loads of other things. It really did give us bit more info on the Danganronpa lore. Also, Imposter and Ryota's friendship,,, the Future Foundation members,,, :')
Imposter and Ryota are the most wholesome duo in the series imo (after Taka and Mondo ofc), and I'm so happy they had a happy ending. Most of the Future Foundation characters were pretty great, except some,, (I'm looking at you Ruruka and Chisa) and they deserved so much better, but their sacrifices kinda helped the world according to Tengan ig, so,, Also Izayoi is one of my all time favourites and he's a sweetheart that deserves the entire universe

Angie was the first danganronpa character that I LEGITIMATELY despised, whenever a murder occurred I always felt SORT of bad even for characters I didn't care for that much, but Angie was the first death that I genuinely cheered about, something about her just pissed me off beyond compare 😂 easily my least favourite character in the Danganronpa series, also, justice for Himiko! My second most favourite character (chihiro smol bean being my first choice) in the series and I was beyond excited to FINALLY have one of my favourites survive the killing game even with as many deaths as there are in V3 🤡

I absolutely love Sayaka, Mukuro and Leon. If only they lived a little bit longer and got some time to develop their characters.. . Well, Mukuro got her time to shine in the IF novel and sorta in Despair/Future anime but that's about it, would've been cool if it was more... I really liked the Sayaka twist where she tried to frame Makoto for murder, I think it really ads to the depth of her character and the 1st chapter of the game is fully dedicated to her and her struggles, she was a complex character. Leon is just a bro, I liked his energy, I feel like if he survived, he would've been a "Kaito" of the group, too bad that he and Sayaka both were the victims of the situation.

I hated Tsumugi at first cuz she killed my favorites Rantaro and Kaede, V3's cast is my favorite and every death made me sad and I was so mad at Tsumugi for orchestrating this killing game, but then I looked at her character from a different perspective and then I realized that she's such a complex character, I started loving her.
Same with Himiko, I hated her at the beginning, but her emotional breakout and development in chapter 3 was such pure gold that it made me change my views on her.

The first two chapters from each game are basically the ones with characters that deserved more development and screen time before their death. Especially for Sayaka, Leon, Mukuro (at least she had a major role on the anime), Chihiro, Mahiru, Rantaro, Ryoma and Kirumi
Monotaro is easily the best character and you can fite me on that. Monotaro is often compared to Todoroki but that isn't accurate. Unlike Todoroki, Monotaro is a actual good character. His forgetfulness makes him really adorable in my opinion, especially in the 4th chapter when he decided that Miu and Keebo were his parents. He was also incredibly useful in the 4th trial cause he wanted to get revenge for his dead mommy and ended up getting alot of clues about the virtual world. It's sad that they killed him off in the 4th chapter but at least he lasted the longest. Also, he's got the best design out of all the Monokubs and he's honestly really cute. Overall he is a really unique character and made the game really fun.
Monotaro is still better than some others from v3 smh,, he did nothing wrong other than being one of monokumas children, he deserved better than dying from incest bug baby :(

Not really, I think most people appreciate her for her backstory. She was just known as the food girl in the game, but it actually makes alot of sense if you read about her on the wiki or play her FTEs on Island mode.

Honestly I'm really happy that most of the underrated characters, like maybe Angie (very much biased on my part) or Mukuro, were finally mentioned bc there are those who have a great character and actually contributed to something but were just completely ignored or hated on by the fandom
Nekomaru is one of those characters I always forget exists, but when I remember him I'm always like "Oh yeah I love that guy!" My theory as to why he's an easy one to forget is cause he is kinda the "Sakura" character of DR2....in DR1 Sakura, or "Ogre", is just so damn lovable, especially after her ultimate sacrifice. Gonta from V3 also falls into this category, and while you could argue Gonta is kinda one note with his bug obsession and Tarzan-like behavior, he's also just a really lovable character, and his story arc is just about as sad if not more sad than Sakura's...it's arguably the most depressing moment of V3 and it leaves a huge impact, making Gonta a tough one to forget. Nekomaru is also a nice likable character but when you compare him to Sakura and Gonta he doesn't stack up as well, at least in my opinion. Sure his shit jokes are funny and the whole "Mechamaru" thing was kinda humorous, but I also think that's why his death doesn't leave as big of an impact cause he becomes less human before he's "murdered", so it's hard to feel as upset over him. I still like him as a character and think he's cool, but I can understand why people forget about him, cause I do too til I watch videos like this.

Really? Himiko is unpopular? I've watched a lot of Danganronpa V3 lps and alongside Gonta, Himiko was one of the most popular characters and the lpers adore her especially after her character development after Chapter 3
Though, I'll be honest, if I were to replace one of the three survivors with someone, it's definitely Himiko with Gonta.

Most of them don't like Kokichi (though I personally love his guts way more than Nagito lol) and others find Miu annoying. Bascially, when I asked if someone could say one thing bad about someone, most times, they don't have anything bad to say about Gonta because he's just that likable

From what I can tell are Shuichi, Kokichi. I think they're significantly more popular than the other v3 characters.

I actually really like Izayoi for some reason, he's loyal and devoted to Ruruka even though she doesn't deserve him. I also quite like Miaya's design, it's just unfortunate that we didn't get to see the real Miaya.
Yeah, Izayoi was a great character. He was incredibly loyal to Ruruka even when she killed him. His death was really sad to me and finding out the person who he loved the most had killed him was really shocking and made me dislike Ruruka. Gekkogahara was one of my favourites from dr3, even though she was just a robot controlled by Monaca she was still really kind and supportive and ended up being a really great character in my opinion. Dr3 characters truly deserve more love.

I genuinely love Leon’s design and the fact that he wanted to change his own talent, he could’ve had such an interesting arc if he lived. Hiro isn’t exactly the sharpest knife in the kitchen, but I really like him? I love gentle giant sorts of characters and Hiro fits that bill for me while also being a kind and funny person. They’d make my list of favourite characters for sure.
Ibuki had a screen time of a solid 11 seconds, Mukuro had an entire segment on her. Truly amazing, 9.5/10 video rating

I read Danganronpa IF before watching End of Hope’s Peak, and I absolutely loved Mukuro’s depiction in that novel
When I was first watching a danganronpa let's play, as soon as I saw leon i was way to much in love. like I may love gundham more than leon, but leon is very much my favorite v1 character alongside ishimaru. leon just has such a interesting character for me.
akane is also one of my few favorite girl characters. I love her relationship with nekomaru, and she just always had a piece in my heart for her.
angie is also such a fun character. like at first I didn't like her, but as soon as I finished the first trial, I fell in love with her. also her starting a cult was really entertaining to me. I just love her. tsumugi is also such a cute and loveable character to me, I love them all lol, also himiko is easily on my top 10 characters. same with leon and akane.

I don't get how people could dislike the anime I liked it. Yeah it's pretty different compared to daganronpa anywhere else but I feel like it had some great action, good character building, interesting plot twists. I'd rather watch the anime than play parts of the games.

This is the first time I've seen one of your videos, when you asked "Who's your favorite Danganronpa character", I said "Kazuichi Soda", and then, I'm immediately met with your comment.
I was quite shocked... Especially since I never encounter anyone else who likes him.
When I did the first game, I paid absolutely no attention at all to Yasuhiro, because I truly believed he would not survive, and thus I never paid him any mind. At the end, when he survived, I honestly had no idea who he was.
No, seriously. I would OFTEN forget he existed, and question why he was even still there. He was honestly my least favorite character, but recently I have gained some appreciation for his character.

Best girl is Tsumugi and I have multiple reasons why but I’m not gonna go into detail, all I’m gonna say is that I think Tsumugi used Junko as a cover up. Either that or Tsumugi died and Junko just disguised herself as Tsumugi for the rest of the game. I just really fucking love Tsumugi. Either her or Himiko.

Yasuhiro is the "comic relief" of DR1.
The problem with that is that Genocide Jack plays that role too, and much, *much* better. I get that she isn't always there because of Toko, but that makes the moments when she DOES make an appearance even better and/or funnier. Plus, she isn't dumb. She gives you actually good possibilities (unlike Toko, who usually sides with the rest because of her past and stuff watch a Toko Fukawa analysis or something) and finds a way to usually add a funny note to it without ruining the atmosphere of the class trial, like:
Laughing hysterically after her sentence
Talking very fast (usually also including a kinda funny emote)
When talking about others, giving them funny names or mocking them. (Toko does this too, but when she does it she usually intends to insult others instead of just doing it for fun, plus her stuttering sometimes ruins the joke of the names.)
From what I've seen, Genocide Jack is the biggest reason why Yasuhiro is so unpopular, followed by his horrible personality in the light novel of DRAE, and his stupidity. (And I couldn't agree more Genocide Jack is absolutely amazing.)
The fact you had to do that was debate mini game for the Kyoko ghost and that is why everyone hated him by the end

People grouch about Yasuhiro and Kazuichi, but I think the games need them. In a scary situation, you need someone to actually be scared.
Himiko just kind of runs out of stuff to do after the third trial. So she's one of those survivors where you feel like she's taking up space that someone else could have taken.
I weirdly see quite a good amount of love for Ryoma, like randomly stumbling over people liking him on places that are not specifically Danganronpa related. I've never felt like he was unpopular so I was surprised!

Himiko had the biggest character development in the game alongside Shuichi. At first, she was completely against cooperating because she felt unmotivated and sometimes even a bit depressed but her friendships with Tenko and Angie really helped her open up and see the good things in life worth fighting for
Tsumugi was plain and boring but that was her whole stick. She was so smart and it was nice to see her interact with the rest.
Angie was pretty extreme but always had her own, but also the group's, well-being in mind. The council was a big deal but, again, with the best intention and the whole Atua brainwashing thing was, to me, just her trying to cheer up the people in need of motivation, comfort and someone to turn to.
