Showing a samurai was representing his talent, as well as the name “Cultural Melting Pot” had both with his research. As well as this, he’d been betrayed by the person who he really loved, showing he’d been lied to as well. If people analyzed it then there’d probably be a sadder meaning

About Mukuro's death I may be wrong so feel free to correct me Mukuro was a part of the group Fenrir, right? Fenrir is a wolf from Norse mythology, also called Fenris. She was killed by the "Spear of Gungnir". Last I checked, Odin (king of the Aesir gods)'s spear was call Gungnir. In Norse mythology, Odin is destined to kill Fenrir(/Fenris) when ragnorok comes around. Bonus detail: Ragnorok is the end of the world in Norse mythology. The Tragedy is pretty much the end of the world (or at least could have been). :)

V3 Spoilers: When Kaede was revealed as blackened, it shook me so hard how I missed all the signs thinking she was safe in protag territory. And then Shuichi desperately reaching for her and the execution itself just TKO'd me. Only execution that forced me to take a break. And although I'm not the biggest Kaito fan, the fact that the execution failed and he died fulfilling his dream (in a convoluted way) made me happy. I know technically Sm00gi's execution was the final one, but for me it felt like the series started with blast off, ended with blast off, very cool.
im glad even kaito non fans liked his execution. its very revolutionary for danganronpa, as hes the only person who died from something different entirely during the execution, and it was painless and in the setting he always wanted to be in. it was perfect.

I cried when gonta got executed, he was just so kind and kokichi forced him to kill maki and kokichi tried to protect gonta after forcing him to kill her
Gonta's execution was excruciating for a reason people often fail to realize: when Monokuma set him and the giant Scyther thing on fire, GONTA WAS STILL ALIVE. But anyways, all of V3s are pretty dang incredible in the way they're performed, in the way they're done, generally I prefer them over the other two games. But that's because V3 is my favorite period. Kirumi though, good god that poor woman. Korekiyo boiling alive too, one of the most painful ways to die period. The whole thing with his sister was intended as a psychological, final screw you to him as a character from Monokuma. To me that part always made the game feel like it had to be a simulation, just like SDR2, because otherwise too many things make no sense.
Ok so I have this headcanon that all the Mikan fanservice moments (tripping, etc) was AI Junko's doing. Like she's the one that tripped her and put her in those positions. My reasoning isn't a ship thing, it's more that Junko targeted the Ultimate Despairs' hardships, and Mikan's was abuse, so it kinda makes sense that Junko would want to torture the most emotionally hurt character. Idk just a headcanon.
Fun fact: The part in Monomi’s execution, where a bullet cuts slightly through Hajime’s skin, is meant to be like the Student Council scene in the Despair Arc anime, where one of the students tries to shoot Hajime/Izuru, but it just like in the game, cuts through his cheek.
I also think Gundham’s execution itself was pretty mediocre, but I love the meaning and symbolism. First of all, it isn’t mentioned, but is implied that Nekomaru and Gundham sacrificed themselves for the remaining cast (that’s really sweet and light hearted), then, the magic circle he drew was to protect his hamsters, not him, and last and most important, as he was being carried to pet heaven, he realizes he isn’t the person he thought he was, he thought he was an evil demon with malice, but he sacrificed himself, protected his hamsters, and was a good person. He felt the despair of not being the person he thought he was. That’s what I like about Gundham’s execution. Also, he’s best boy.
I really liked Celeste's because it was really surprising, a more gambling related one would be cool tho. (Yes i know she got executed that way because she wanted to die a special way but she got trucked in the face instead)

About Mikan's execution, sure it has some fanservice but there's actually a little symbolism behind it. In her student profile it says she dislikes oversized things. Mikan was put on an oversized arm, which was stabbed with an oversized syringe and sent into space - the biggest thing known to men.

People forget how long Kaedes execution actually went on for. It actually happened for hours considering everytime she touched a key she could breathe but the further and further she got from each key it got harder to breathe and when you see it like that it's sooo dark
I think Junko's was just meant to be asbstract !!!! She literally goes through EVERY execution, like as seen on clip you showed, she got crushed by a giant ambulance and then was smiling and fine for next execution straight after ! So I think it's fine for her body to still be salvageable however it may work for lore sake
honestly i think gonta’s execution was one of the most brutal (note the wording “one of”) my mans got stung several times by wasps, which is already extremely painful. Then the giant wasp goes and stabs him straight in the gut, and even that doesn’t kill him. he goes out by being burned alive. poor gonta
The thing is with Gundham's execution, you kinda need to know and like his character for the execution to work. There is a lot of symbolism, and references to his character, so you kinda need to know his character, motives and beliefs to find his execution effective
Also I love the little detail that at the end of Junko's execution, right before her being crushed, she looks up in confusion/expectation. It just feels very human when before Junko just seemed so superhuman.

If I remember correctly, a bullet grazes Izuru’s skin in Danganronpa 3, in the exact place Hajime gets it in Danganronpa 2. It’s a nice extra little detail.

My favorite execution is Celeste. It seems completely random until you look into her character. Also the idea of a firetruck coming out of nowhere is halirous too me My leaat favorite is Mikan. Its so stupid and really showed how rushed chapter 3 was. The second game kinda did Mikan dirry with the execution and the weird fanservice moments
Also, with the Hajimes face being cut, it also foreshadows Izuru in a sense, in Danganronpa 3 in the School Council massacre where the bullet scraped Izuru’s cheek. Also also, for a detective execution, I could see monokuma doing a twisted game of Cluedo where the blackened is locked in an “abandoned house” and it would work kind of like Chiaki’s execution where they would try to collect clues on how to get out while having knives and other weapons graze them, only for the clues to be meaningless and have the house fall on them at the end of the execution.
I myself am a Gundham fan but I can respect that you aren’t. Everyone has their favourite characters, right? That’s why it’s so great that all the Danganronpa games have so many awesome ones to choose from! I enjoyed this video and now you’ve got me interested in making tier lists haha.

About Gundham's execution When Gundham made that symbol in the sand, he was actually trying to save his hamsters,not himself. Also if you look at the hamsters really closely you can see they're shivering.

Gonta's execution was excruciating for a reason people often fail to realize: when Monokuma set him and the giant Scyther thing on fire, GONTA WAS STILL ALIVE.
But anyways, all of V3s are pretty dang incredible in the way they're performed, in the way they're done, generally I prefer them over the other two games. But that's because V3 is my favorite period.
Kirumi though, good god that poor woman. Korekiyo boiling alive too, one of the most painful ways to die period. The whole thing with his sister was intended as a psychological, final screw you to him as a character from Monokuma. To me that part always made the game feel like it had to be a simulation, just like SDR2, because otherwise too many things make no sense.

Ok so I have this headcanon that all the Mikan fanservice moments (tripping, etc) was AI Junko's doing. Like she's the one that tripped her and put her in those positions. My reasoning isn't a ship thing, it's more that Junko targeted the Ultimate Despairs' hardships, and Mikan's was abuse, so it kinda makes sense that Junko would want to torture the most emotionally hurt character. Idk just a headcanon.

Fun fact: The part in Monomi’s execution, where a bullet cuts slightly through Hajime’s skin, is meant to be like the Student Council scene in the Despair Arc anime, where one of the students tries to shoot Hajime/Izuru, but it just like in the game, cuts through his cheek.
I also think Gundham’s execution itself was pretty mediocre, but I love the meaning and symbolism.
First of all, it isn’t mentioned, but is implied that Nekomaru and Gundham sacrificed themselves for the remaining cast (that’s really sweet and light hearted), then, the magic circle he drew was to protect his hamsters, not him, and last and most important, as he was being carried to pet heaven, he realizes he isn’t the person he thought he was, he thought he was an evil demon with malice, but he sacrificed himself, protected his hamsters, and was a good person.
He felt the despair of not being the person he thought he was. That’s what I like about Gundham’s execution.

kirumi’s execution has to be my favorite though i might be bias as she is my favorite character. also, something about gundham’s execution. i think it was also to show how he was a good person and not the evil person he portrays himself as because like before the execution he talks about going to hell but instead the animals bring him up to heaven instead.

About Mikan's execution, sure it has some fanservice but there's actually a little symbolism behind it. In her student profile it says she dislikes oversized things. Mikan was put on an oversized arm, which was stabbed with an oversized syringe and sent into space - the biggest thing known to men.

Peko's execution will forever be my favorite. I remember that it had me crying for literally half an hour when I first saw it. It really got me due to how sad Peko and Fuyuhiko's story was.

People forget how long Kaedes execution actually went on for. It actually happened for hours considering everytime she touched a key she could breathe but the further and further she got from each key it got harder to breathe and when you see it like that it's sooo dark

I think Junko's was just meant to be asbstract !!!! She literally goes through EVERY execution, like as seen on clip you showed, she got crushed by a giant ambulance and then was smiling and fine for next execution straight after ! So I think it's fine for her body to still be salvageable however it may work for lore sake

my mans got stung several times by wasps, which is already extremely painful. Then the giant wasp goes and stabs him straight in the gut, and even that doesn’t kill him. he goes out by being burned alive.

The thing is with Gundham's execution, you kinda need to know and like his character for the execution to work. There is a lot of symbolism, and references to his character, so you kinda need to know his character, motives and beliefs to find his execution effective

Also I love the little detail that at the end of Junko's execution, right before her being crushed, she looks up in confusion/expectation. It just feels very human when before Junko just seemed so superhuman.

If I remember correctly, a bullet grazes Izuru’s skin in Danganronpa 3, in the exact place Hajime gets it in Danganronpa 2. It’s a nice extra little detail.

the whole point was it was kyokos execution seeing as the students didnt know her talent she would be executed without anything based on talent it didnt change for makoto because it still fit him as he felt like he had no real talent so his execution doesnt involve talent that is why it fits for both

My leaat favorite is Mikan. Its so stupid and really showed how rushed chapter 3 was. The second game kinda did Mikan dirry with the execution and the weird fanservice moments

Also, with the Hajimes face being cut, it also foreshadows Izuru in a sense, in Danganronpa 3 in the School Council massacre where the bullet scraped Izuru’s cheek.
Also also, for a detective execution, I could see monokuma doing a twisted game of Cluedo where the blackened is locked in an “abandoned house” and it would work kind of like Chiaki’s execution where they would try to collect clues on how to get out while having knives and other weapons graze them, only for the clues to be meaningless and have the house fall on them at the end of the execution.
I myself am a Gundham fan but I can respect that you aren’t. Everyone has their favourite characters, right? That’s why it’s so great that all the Danganronpa games have so many awesome ones to choose from! I enjoyed this video and now you’ve got me interested in making tier lists haha.

my favorite DR execution is probably DR2 Chiaki's, or maybe even Kirumi's even though Kirumi isn't one of my favorite characters. Hers was probably the most brutal in the entire franchise for me and it really took me by surprise when I first watched it. Mikan's is 10000% the worst. I see people trying to defend her execution and I always appreciate when people try and see the symbolism behind everything but there's really no excuse for Mikan's, it was just bad lol

When Gundham made that symbol in the sand, he was actually trying to save his hamsters,not himself.
