    I've tried and served many of your recipes only changing a few to taste (fully giving credit to your work and being so wonderful as to pay for us to use) and have lived than as well as many friends have so thank you for sharing them with the rest of us.
    if you see this and have a spats minute to answer a quick, question on the nog, I world be ever so greatful.
    I used to get some from a neighbor down the street when was younger and there wasn't the same cinnamon flavor bit I liked it a lot. would I just omit Cinnamon or is there done other ingredient to substitute to keep a great taste? thanks in advance.

    Always wondered how eggnog was made. So delicious :)
    I have a question. When recipes such as cake recipes call for rum, what kind of rum can you use(brands, color) ? I am completely lost when it comes to this.

    it should be one teaspoon nutmeg. any more turns the egg nog pale coffee coloured.

    • @gellichan09
      @gellichan09 10 років тому

      I should have read the comments first because a couple of people also mentioned this before. I put one tablespoon and definitely thought the nutmeg was too strong 😝 kind of ruined my first try of eggnog xd

    it's not christmas but I made this today mmm very luscious drink! not like the nasty carton kind. however, in watching the video you placed 3 egg yolks and 2 T brown sugar so they're mixed up in the description. so I'll be making this again for sure. thanks Byron it's a keeper!

      It's thick and sweet and doesn't taste eggy. It has a milky texture. Kind of like cold condensed milk

  • @TearfulShadows
    @TearfulShadows 9 років тому

    That looks SO GOOD, but I'm at my wits end trying cooked eggnog recipes. No matter how careful I am it always seems a little over textured and not smooth and creamy. Even if I run it through a strainer to catch any curdles, there will be a faintly sweet scrambled egg flavor. So I'm about to try a raw egg recipe. I mean, I never used to be scared of cake batter or cookie dough, so I guess I can brave eggnog as well.
