Usually, if I'm too LAZY to make it...I get Bertolli, or Newman's, and Classico. However, I've been known to get Ragu, or Prego if that's all they have. And I always add more cheese to whatever ones I buy. We really like different kinds of cheeses😁❤❤❤Never had spaghetti as a kid. Since 1994, I've been learning about pasta meals.
Nice video! I burst out laughing at ranch dressing guy (is it SNL?) and other interludes were humorous too :) In terms of the products, I had opened a jar of Botticelli (how I came upon your video) and agree it is funky. Ricotta cheese is the 2nd ingredient, which I think is the problem...Classico is always solid; Ragu is my go-to (btw it is less in sat fat); and have couple of unopened jars of Little Italy in the Bronx I can't wait to try, based on your recommendation. I did serve Rao's once, I recall it being good but quite expensive.
I usually use Prego when it comes to my Spaghetti sauce. When it comes to my Alfredo sauce, I think that I will have to give Rao's Alfredo sauce a try, just to judge for myself.
Good review. Haven't tried all of them (especially those rated at the bottom) but I enjoy four of the Top Six. Being cost conscience, when sale priced... Prego, Bertolli, Classico, in that order... I buy extra for the pantry. Ragu Alfredo Sauce... is better than Ragu spaghetti sauce (though using Ragu spaghetti sauce on homemade pizza is fine).
I love Classico 4 cheese Alfredo. I am glad to not see it at the bottom. Most at the bottom I never heard of anyway. I am looking to try Little Italy from the Bronx And Rao’s Alfredo. I never heard of Little Italy of the Bronx before this video and it looks tasty! But I am familiar with Rao’s. I will plan on buying those when I go out on my day trips on public transportation.
Ragu, Classico, and Prego are all delicious. Is RAO’S a sponsor? You have them as your best Spaghetti sauce too. I tried RAO’S spaghetti sauce. It was terrible and cost twice as much as the rest.
@@elizabethbolden4798 When it comes down to Alfredo sauce, Rao's was hands down the best in my tests and opinion. For any other tomato based sauce, it is very taste specific and I was unimpressed by Rao's. We buy Organic Bertolli or Classico for marinara (Costco), but stick to Rao's Alfredo.
I haven’t tried raos but I’ve tried a lot of the others and my personal favorite that comes closest to the real thing wasn’t on this list. It’s Cucina Moderna brand
Wait a minute. You go on and on about how Bertolli alfredo sauce is the "best jarred alfredo ", but then only rank it as number 3!?! How does this make sense? How can it be the best jarred alfredo sauce when there are two other jarred sauces that you rank above it?
I'm very confused, everwhere I read people rank Rao's at #1 or very high. I tried it and it is awful and has this strong chemical after taste that is even more awful. Like I'm not a picky eater and I would never want to eat that again.
I wish this video would have been out a few months ago. I brought the Sonoma brand at Costco and it was the worst decision ever. Even a cheap store brand is better than this grainy mess of a sauce.
add 1 tablespoon of water and 1 teaspoon of salt to victoria vegan alfredo and its super good and Im not vegan. this list is bullshit because theyd didjnt season anything and assumed the sauce would carry on its own. Add salt to any of these sauces and they are good. Again Im not a vegan.
You keep saying authentic and then talking about cream. AUTHENTIC ALFREDO DOESN'T USE CREAM. I get it though. You can't really jar real alfredo sauce, so these are the next best thing. I like these jarred sauces, but don't call them what they aren't.
Pasta sauce from a jar? Ha ha ha, love America. Next thing you’ll be putting food colouring in cheese and feeding cement to your cattle to make them weigh more for market.
You all are wrong too many times....I ve take your word too many times and thrown out soooo much garbage..... sorry but I have NEVER had a good pre made alfredo sauce.....EVER. It's so easy to make. THESE ARE BAD. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY...... please is you follow this channel...don't just jump at what they say.....

The Bertolli D'italia Alfredo is soo good! Its a dollar more expensive than the regular Bertolli but so much better and its made in Italy 👌 dare i say rivals Roa's at a cheaper price
I can agree with some honestly but when you start ranking Ragu in a top spot.... you crossed the line. That and Rao's is mediocre at best. I would personally rank Bartolli 1st and classico 2nd. That's just me though.
I'm glad to see this video! I don't think I have had any jar Alfredo sauce but I do want to try some. Homemade is always better though but can get expensive ..buying 🧀!! Great to know what 3 awesome sauces I must buy! Thanks Mash!! You rock!
I have never bought Alfredo sauce until recently. I wanted to add it to my prepping pantry. I had no idea what I was doing, so I bought i jar of Ragu and a jar of Bertolli. Thank you for letting me know I won't be throwing dinner down the sink into the disposal. I really do appreciate it. It's nice to know I've not wasted my money, time and gas, that I will be satisfied with the flavor and the texture. I'll probably add a couple more jars.
If you emulsify the pasta water, butter, and cheese correctly, there's no need to add any cream. It has a very creamy texture and quality without the addition of cream. However, as with spaghetti carbonara, adding a little cream can give you a larger margin of error when emulsifying the ingredients. Just don't tell any Italians about adding cream, they seem to take that personally.
There's no good jarred Alfredo sauce. Alfredo is made by reducing heavy cream and adding cheese to it. A dash of nutmeg and done. It couldn't be simpler.
I just had the Prego and classico Alfredo sauce and they tasted awful. I use to eat Michelina's chicken Alfredo tv dinners and I like the taste of the Alfredo sauce on that
I have a confession Prego alfredo sauce taste better than Ragu's alfredo sauce..I hope my family doesn't find out lol.. And I love Raos spaghetti sauce as well.
Trouble with Rao's is that I can't find it. There are so many shortages on the shelves that when I find ANY Rao's sauce I buy a few and then they are on hand when I need a good sauce. Failing Rao's I do it myself from scratch.
Which brand of Alfredo is your favorite?
My favorite brand is the Classico Alfredo sauce and the prego brand
Also the bertolli brand too

Rao's is gteat
I agree. Rao's Alfredo sauce is the best hands down.
Newman’s own. But can’t find it in stores anymore.

I love their sauces, too.
WHY IS IT $10 OMGGG
Maybe the cost of the ingrediants ? But their sauces are very good @@PumpkinSprout
@@stever1791 I'm gonna try it next time. I went with #3 basil version. The borchelli or sum?

Newman is trash, I got them free from food bank, watery and tasteless. Don't buy those.
I adore all things Classico!
Nothing beats homemade Alfredo sauce, but when I buy a jar, I prefer the Bertolli brand.

Rao's Alfredo sauce -- you won't be sorry! Especially if it's on BOGO.
Add parma cheese while cooking. It helps

Try the Bertolli D'italia Alfredo one! Its even better! 😀
Yes it truly tastes so good with a good aftertaste! It's all I'll buy! I still cannot make it homemade so I am happy with Bertolli

Psssst......there is no cream in authentic Alfredo sauce, according to Italian chefs.
I know, but it's better with the cream.
There’s also no such thing as Alfredo sauce according to Italians 😂
The original one was fettuccine al burro
