As long as u stay in vtec and finger fuck the shifter and stay below 90 the pickup is good, right on par with my old 2008 tl type s but i didnt have the 6mt i had am automatic. But after 90 my type s was boss id hit 130 like nothin, SI has no pickup after 90

Dog dog mutual. I agree with that. Either swapping a huge engine into a light hatch chassis, or turbocharging a bucket that makes like 600hp haha. I have a sweet spot in my heart for Sti’s, 2005 mainly. 500hp is definitely fast in an awd, turbo, rally car. That’s why I’m telling myself that I’m content with my 200+HP k24 swap, naturally aspirated 🤣

Leasss my 09 si in 2010 so by time the lease was up it was 2012 the first year of the 9th gen. The dealer hit me up around that time offering to discuss buying it out and they offered me to roll over into the 9th. Took it for a test drive and it felt weak compared to the 8th so I kept my fa5. Still have it.
I'm also wondering if the new Civic si with that small 1.5 turbo engine can handle this kind of power. The 9th gen should probably be considered the last true Civic Si
The 8th gen is actually the last true raw si..9th gen began the softing of the car. Still dope but not as raw as an 8th gen! At least there's one for everyone! Honda4life!

You basically need an SI to do that, and at that point you already have a whole car that's an SI so you might as well just fix and drive that! By the time you put all the SI Parts into the LAX it will play the same as the SI LOL. It's a wash.

Not trying to necessarily bag on your ride because it’s pretty cool, however, superchargers on low displacement engines leave a lot to be desired. Better than stock for sure, but it’s turbo or N/A imo.

odd mods there have a few guys who made 500+ on setups like these. I wanted something a little milder so I stuck to this. There’s a 9thgen making 420whp on a 100 degree day out there.

@@noblewon3507 yep, its mostly because of the instant torque response. I saw the result at the track, some quick Porsches couldn't catch me out of slow corners. I am running the air to water cooling. I did some upgrades to it last week for racing. IAT's were steady around 110F doing 8 laps in a row.
My only question would be, is the car still reliable after 150,000 miles. I have a 2014 Civic si also. It's stock. I used it for Uber and Lyft. I had over 200K on it right now and it's still running.
Maybe I should be asking will it even make it to 150K miles. Having over 300 horsepower in a car with a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine sounds like to much pressure and strain on the engine.

Yes you can. I believe it’s been proven to be more reliable than a turbo set up. Turbo there is more involved imo... between oil lines, turbo placement, heat, over boosting, etc. I just like the placement of a supercharger better. The fact that you can use your header on a Charger set up as well is a win win. All in all, I think the supercharger is easier to work on in general due to placement of blower. Keep in mind, turbo may be better than charger for the fact that it’s not constantly spooling. Turbo turbines activates at a certain rpm, unlike charger which is belt driven. Just something to keep in mind. Boost on these cars is no joke either way you go 🤘🏼
That would be a no. Any type of forced induction that requires custom fabrication will not pass CA Smog. In order for it to be smog legal, it needs to be part of a complete kit that is CARB certified.
That's what I'm trying to build everyone says Turbo setup but superchargers are bad to the bone. Have a k24a swapped 06 Civic SI coupe with 410 injectors skunk 2 headers back and catless, tuned, throttle body, throttle body spacer, short ram cold air intake, hood spacers for a lifted hood, 2 step at 4500 rpms. Nice wheels and tires and lowered
Love the color and the interior but the engine sux and supercharged mehh only good thing about the engine is its 2.4l and torquey..my 8th gen with the k24a2 makes 350whp on a mere 6psi on a garret 35r going to be turning it up soon to about 15psi and possibly a race gas tune at the end of the day if he enjoys it all that matters

felacsvt where does your torque and peak power come in? I make 300fl/tweets at 2800rpm. That’s why I went this way. Also wanted something more unique.
