What a great adventure, reminded me of my stationhand days ,The old gear was like we used in the early 70s, The Bedford van 1950s, Dad used one as a mechanic service vehicle for the company he worked for, The dozer is a Fiat, about 40 - 60 HP, The Landrover front end looked odd , maybe a repaired one with a jeep Front end , someone may know???? DI think the semi was a Ford D ??? , And a Ford ute 1950s , Hope my memory is working ???, Still very interesting, Enjoyed, Cheers Bevan 🤠❤️🇦🇺, Got my licence in a series 2 Landrover
Cheers mate! 🍻🍻 from what I’ve read the land rovers were built in Sydney by “Pressed Metal Corp” under licence which may be why the front end was a bit different but can’t really find any more info on them or the company, great knowledge you’ve got of them and would’ve been great to see the old Bedford van running and the fiat dozer working aswell!
Thanks for yet Another brilliant vidclip ..... I just love it when you go to the Homesteads on the abandoned Stations ..... I can actually 'Feel' the Folks that lived there, their Trials, Tribulations, Happiness and Emmense Sadness ..... Best to You and Yours from ChCh, NZ
Was out on the Murchison stations in the shearing sheds 30yr ago . Some of the tips used to go for a kilometre found a dingo trap once. Heaps of old cars and bikes
A mate of mine had one of those Bedfords with a land rover chaise and running gear under it It was set up as a camper Those sliding doors were great for rabbit shooting on the back roads
Good video jack it is great to see around the old station with old cars and trucks i always wonder how much stuff gets collected looking forward to see what is coming all the best Ron
Just to let you know Dooley Downs is owned by Mt Augustus station definitely not abandoned they no longer have care takers but still used for mustering.
Cheers mate! I didn’t know they Mt Augustus had taken over, figured it was a station from around the area but never really thought it would be Mt Augustus!
Nice one mate! Never new they were an Australian car maker or heard of them but an interesting read and great to see not just one of them but a fair few!

Also looks like the semi is a Toyota DA115, picked up by Colin Shepard

The car on the side of the road is a 1959 Ford Galaxie

Car with big fin like tail lights was an early model Ford Fairlane
The rusty semi is a toyota and the other 4x4 is a land rover. Mark 2 ford zephyr.
