Never watched the show.but I'm playing mission critical and I love it. Now I'm looking into heroes of the grid and now I want everything and also start watching all the power ranger shows
They are fun designs for card combat!
I actually just recently traded Ark Nova for the base game. I am really enjoying it and the minis are durable enough for my kids to mess around with them!
That's great! Probably easier for kids to play than Ark Nova too ;)
Whoo! Amazing game! In Space is my favorite season, and ALL the rangers in that set are amazing! TJ is totally the fan favorite. Who needs to roll dice!
I’ve been collecting all the things to HotG since it was released, definitely a must-have for PR fans. And even none-PR fans, the co-op gameplay is solid, plus isn’t not hard to teach/learn.
Awesome! Nice to hear from a bigger fan of the series!!
Nice Stan Bush reference thrown in their with the Black Ranger! Great video!
He’s got the powerrrrrrrr
This is one of my favourite games released in the last 5 or so years, so much fun with an insane amount of variety. Got the G.I. Joe one coming as well and glad it isn't just a reskin of the corebox of this (there are some overlaps but not a lot) and can't wait to try out some of the changes in the rules.
Great playthrough Mate
Some of our members got to demo G.I. Joe at Gen Con and yeah, sounds very positive so far. I'm especially excited for the vehicle mechanics.
@@OneStopCoopShop yeah i like how it adds more flexibility then how gaining the Zords work but doesn't drastically change the rules so both can be used together without any real modifications
Really enjoyed this video.
I’d love to see you play another PR scenario with different rangers. Maybe the OG MMPR. Or ZEO. Or the any combination of heroes and villains. There’s a TON of customization.
One of the best parts of the game is the modularity for sure… IF you don’t mind spending hundreds of dollars 😜
Terence has been showing me this and I've been enjoying it a lot. Card play is fun with more than two heroes. Three solo makes sense. We've played two each.
That’s how I play too, 3-5 rangers divided as needed regardless of player count
Looking like a good game to play hope to see more videos in the future and other space rangers and different ranger era's used
Right now I have base, this one, and the small box Santa Claus expansion 😂
@@OneStopCoopShop I hope to see a video on the zeo expansion in the future
Also, Carlos can refill EVERY attack as long as his hand size is small enough
Hey I just played this the other day! I LOVE this game and have way too much content for it (about $500 worth) 😛. I have a lot of nostalgia for power rangers and I feel like they captured the feel of it really well. Each team is thematic and cohesive when you play them together and you make interesting combos when you mix Ranger teams.
The new Solo variant is really really good and now I get it to the table more than ever. I'm very happy that Renegade is supporting game a ton.
Oh, new solo variant? Different from the rulebook? How does it work?
I see it now, scenario 20. Looks really cool! Now I wish I had filmed that 😅
@@OneStopCoopShop Glad you found it! I hope you give it a play! I replied earlier but UA-cam keeps deleting my replies to this comment 😫
@@kumanight stupid YT!
Great game, one of my favorites. Question: Where did you get the combat board that has places to put the enemy cards during combat? Was that part of an expansion?
Correct, the Rise of the Psycho Rangers box comes with it.
Really enjoyed the video. I have just purchased both HoG and GIJoe MC. Just one rules clarification. If you have two heroes in the same spot, do they both take an action? I was thinking only the lead hero took an action. But it looked like you were playing as each take an action. So if you had the yellow and blue ranger in the same quadrant and the yellow ranger was the lead, then they yellow ranger would take an action for the attack. But then the blue ranger would be able to attack and not use an action.
Thanks for watching, and hope you enjoy them both!
And I don't think I ever messed this up (let me know the timestamp if I did), but yes, one ranger spend an action to start a battle, and every other ranger there gets to participate for free. The game would be basically impossible otherwise!
haha Hard lines Mike.
It's a good sign when games have a close ending. Always more fun to play such games imho
Thanks as always
I regret my choices!!!! :)
Power rangers or The Reckoners? I have The Reckoners and I'm not sure I would also need this. They are different but some similarities? Which one you like the most?
Fun comparison! Both are certainly overproduced :)
Reckoners is the quicker game to play, and better at high player counts. But power rangers has way more strategy and tactical planning, and is a better challenge.
When Carlos was fighting solo towards the beginning of video, did you accidentally skip the final foot soldiers turn to play an attack card? You played a zero power card then immediately played the attack card.
Sorry, I rushed that moment a bit, but the card I played, Rising Moon, has an effect at the end that says "immediately play 1 card". So I didn't skip the last enemy attack. I got a bonus play to defeat them before they had the chance to act.
I’ve been eyeing this game for quite some time now but Im scared of the set up amd gameplay haha
Set-up isn't tough at all. The "worst" part is separating the deployment deck into 4 piles and adding a boss to 3 of them, but that only takes a minute.
Gameplay can get a little intense if you are soloing and playing 3+ rangers like I am here. But controlling 1-2 characters is a snap :)
@@OneStopCoopShop ooooh… aryt then, will give it a try! 😄
42:05 did I miss something that was a 3 and a 1, not 3 and 3, you were so confident you knew what they were you didn't even bother to look ?
His ability checked the number of shields in the bottom right corner (both 3) not the energy cost you are referring to in the upper left. And yeah, both cards had already been seen through other abilities so I knew exactly what they were ahead of time
@@OneStopCoopShop I did miss something then
No worries. I know I play quickly, and my thumb was blocking one of the card corners :)
Power Rangers in Space!!!
Tommy in the 24th and a half century!!!!
I am mad my dog ate My Devon beast Morpher figure for power rangers board game so trashcan beast Morpher Red ranger for heroes of the grid for most parts my power rangers board game collection get big but they need to put out replacement icon figures for Power rangers heroes of the grid to replace the figure I lost because it got it destroyed by puppies it's a good thing I still have different card I can still play The cars just not stupid figure GameStop for pawn shop to replace it
Whereas I’d prefer if the game and expansions cost half as much and didn’t include any miniatures at all! 😅
It would be cool if they offered standee versions of this system.lower cost, less storage, and it might look better since I can't paint anyway
@M D Given that they're doing cardboard standees for the rpg, I could see Renegade releasing that alternative for HOTG too.
