Your playthroughs are always top notch. I just wanted to point out that you can re-roll the same die when fishing, as confirmed by the designer. so if you need 3 hearts and rolled 2 + 1 green guy. You can keep rerolling the green guy die (3 times if you had your tool upgraded).

Nice play through! We played our first game yesterday and just couldn’t find the bugmeat we needed to finish the last bundle. Looking forward to the next play. I noticed you were only revealing one bundle per action when you could have done more. Maybe you needed the hearts for something else though. We were forced to get animals and animal products in our game too so sometimes you don’t have a choice. Agree they are weak as a money maker though. Anyway, great job as always!
Paying 2 hearts to change a bundle might be a plan regarding bugmeat. Another playthrough I watched complained about bugmeat and the fishing track clogging up. I think the fisher's skill at clearing the track is a good one to make available. Not that I've played yet, I'm in the UK and had to wait.
1:05:46 Sorry for asking again, the summer crops still there? It's fall, shouldn't they be removed? Because in the game the crops die when the season changes. Edit: well, I guess it's not in the rule. Nevermind :)

Thanks for this playthrough! My daughter and I played last night and had trouble figuring out where to put the things we discarded. Where did you put yours? Also, when you put the game away, how did you organize everything? We used rubber bands and plastic bags, but it wasn’t ideal. Just curious if you have any tips for those. Thanks!
Thanks for watching! I just made a pile for each type as a discard, or just tossed them back into the plastic baggies I had on hand. I agree this game needs some serious assistance when it comes to organization! Unfortunately I have not figured that out yet, so I am just using bags like you sorry!!
@@OneStopCoopShop I totally get it. Bags seem to work ok for now. :) For discards, we used little piles stacked on the farm because our table is too small for this massive game. But we played again this week and used some of what I learned from your video, so thank you again for the help!
I've noticed other players say 2 is the ideal number of characters to play (or players if you have them). I understand 4 is too long and ramps up the objectives. What in your opinion is the problem with a 1 character game? And how would you fix it?
I think one character would be too easy as all the goals scale based on player count. The way I'd fix it is just playing 2 characters. Very easy to do in this one!
@@OneStopCoopShop Thanks I eventually got the game and I've played it solo (1 character) 4 times, only winning the last time! Although the goals scale up, it actually seems to get easier with more players/characters from what I've seen probably due to having such limited inventory that gets packed with a mix of things, whereas multiple players can trade items about toward different things. Like if you need the items for a building but trying to get other things done as well, that can sometimes be only 2 slots for the other things.
In the summer, after watering the crops, the forager went for river fishing, but there's no river fish on the fish track to catch. And in the rulebook it says "To catch a fish, you must be in the fishing location matching one or more of the fish on the Fish Track (denoted by their tile colors and icons)". Bro, like fuck. Just, listen here. You have by far the best production quality for game playthroughs, which is how i prefer to learn how to play a game. You fuckin rock, good for you, wu tang.
Early marriage was terrific (at least in the game =D). In your games, have you had to replace any bundles? I could see that randomly becoming much more difficult. Not having played, one variant that occurred to me is having one or two villagers visible, to cut down on the randomness of 1-3 hearts with relatively few ways to mitigate it.
Haha!! So far I've never replaced bundles as it has never felt worth it. Also having villagers face up may make it too easy I think! You'd know too much!
@@OneStopCoopShop That makes sense. The game seems to have a ton of output randomness rather than input randomness, but I can see that it's balanced as is.
I'm all for making adaptations. I'm wondering if a choice between 2 friends would make it a bit easier, pick one then shuffle the other back in. To make catching their birthday a bit more likely and help uncover the bundles before it's too late! The game seems tight but spot on for a close game so probably changing anything that reduces intensity may remove a crucial element to the enjoyment...
When fall just started, on the first season card was a gift symbol. But doens't that symbol mean that you only get gifts from friends that have a birthday in fall because it's the current season? Or does that apply to any friend that you and other players have even if their birthday isn't in fall? Because if the second is true, that would mean that if 4 players have friends there would be 4 gifts given, 1 to every player. That seems a bit OP. I'm asking because you got the gift from Elliot who has a fall birthday and from the drarf who has a summer birthday (eventhough its fall) and I saw some other playthroughs where people only took the presents from friends they had with a birthday in the current season that was active at that point in the game.
The other playthrough is wrong. You get them and yes 4 player you get more gifts but you need a lot more stuff!! Those bundles are a per player cost. Birthdays only matter for hearts!
@@OneStopCoopShop Ok thanks! I was really confused there for a second but now it's clear haha. Hopefully this game comes to the EU soon! Can't wait to play.
I can't find it in the forum so I'm trying to get it confirmed, but I believe there's one rule there that isn't in the manual. (Edit: I saw it in a different playthrough but in trying to confirm it, seems not to be the case, consider it one of infinite house rules, although the creator does tend to encourage people to play in different ways that they find useful/fun) Something to do with being allowed to flip a museum donation to the other column if the slot for it is already filled. I thought of it when you were worried about getting a second slot C. And yes I just rewatched your whole playthrough a second time 7 months later :) Having now played the game (solo only so far), animals can seem to make a good bit of money but probably not versus a good watering can! You can go for animal products and end up rolling nothing though! So solo I really needed a spouse to make it worth it, and only because of having the buildings and animals goals which are a nice pairing.
@@OneStopCoopShop Didn't get confirmed so wherever I saw it I was mislead :P I will edit the opening comment to make it clear that it's not a rule just as I don't want to confuse anyone.
For the 2nd phase what does the game define as "trading"? Can we trade our inventory with others? Also are we only allowed to sell/trade in phase 2 when we get a shipping bin on the season card?
Reading the rulebook on pdf it definitely says you can trade in the planning phase. I'm not sure why the season event mentions trade as it seems to have no purpose.
I watched another playthrough where they only got gifts from people whose birthday it was that season. They may have got the rule wrong but maybe you did, I'd appreciate if you could confirm in the rules? I don't yet have the game. Thank you.
@@OneStopCoopShop Thanks a lot. It makes more sense to pick whichever as Spring birthdays would become almost always useless otherwise. They used the mimic gift card completely disregarding the birthday which combined with their interpretation felt wrong! Otherwise they gave a great playthrough as have you. Thanks for playing through I did indeed watch it all, third playthrough I watched yesterday as I wait for the UK release and decide if I want it. I think I do :)
I will probably be playing solo similar to your video. I have family that could play but it's a bit complex and the planning stage would just be me telling them what moves to make. That and the length will not lead to a good time for them so I may as well play coop alone :P
Not goinna lie... I facepalmed when you grabbed a copper and iridium ore.. since upgrading your tools was an objective, not sure why you didn't get copper and iron? Upgrade twice? :P
I thought the same thing! Wasn't grandpa's objective to upgrade your starting tool twice per player? I thought Colin said 4 times total across all players. That's not how I interpret the card?
Colin, could you comment on the game difficulty. It felt pretty tight there at the end of the game. I know you played with the starting season cards, is the game much more difficult if you play with the normal cards. Do you feel like there enough community bundles and Grandpa objectives to have a fair amount of replay value? T=
I do think there is replay here! The grandpa objectives and bundles can really change your strategy. I am on my 5th play now and not looking back! Also I have yet to lose but am just now using the regular season cards. Each game has come down to the last 1 to 2 turns. That's solid in my book!
i came to this video to see if the video i was watching before was using a mechanic incorrectly. they didn't trigger gift events right, damn they could be doing better if they knew

@@OneStopCoopShop oh i see
Early marriage was terrific (at least in the game =D).
I will just wait for it when it is available outside the US but thanks for the heads up
My pleasure thanks for watching!
There's a problem, you activated Leah's winter birthday while in spring, you can only activate there birthday if it's also the same season
Cool thanks
this sounds extremelly groovy! And seems actually very fast to play. i might grab it. Nice video!!!!
Hope you find a copy is loads of fun!! Thanks for watching!
After you build the stable did you pick your epic items yet? Or did I miss something?
The epic item was the horse card! You might of missed it?
@@OneStopCoopShop oh! I thought it's a different card! Lol my bad 😅
No prob!
The legendary fish shouldn't be cleared from the fish track from a season card. It should have just stayed. (for next time)
Got it thank you!
My copy finally arrives today after Fedex held onto it for three days before it finally moved.
GOOD! Yeah it took 3 extra days for mine to show up too. . .FedEx. . .
same lol
I thought you can only do 2 actions per turn? Does a Solo mode mean you can do 4 actions instead?
I'm sorry it's been too long I no longer have the game!
Fingers crossed!! Thanks for watching!!
And yes I just rewatched your whole playthrough a second time 7 months later :)
Having now played the game (solo only so far), animals can seem to make a good bit of money but probably not versus a good watering can! You can go for animal products and end up rolling nothing though! So solo I really needed a spouse to make it worth it, and only because of having the buildings and animals goals which are a nice pairing.
Well awesome let us know if you confirm it!
@@OneStopCoopShop Didn't get confirmed so wherever I saw it I was mislead :P I will edit the opening comment to make it clear that it's not a rule just as I don't want to confuse anyone.
Thanks!
I love this play through..remind me playstation one Harvestmoon:)
Nice!! And thanks so much for watching!!
It's absolutely crushing that they only sell this game in the US ;.;
Looks so much fun..
Let's hope the next run will not be so!!
It's on amazon right now go go go
What is that you're using when throwing the dice?
It's a dice tray from chip theory games!
For the 2nd phase what does the game define as "trading"? Can we trade our inventory with others? Also are we only allowed to sell/trade in phase 2 when we get a shipping bin on the season card?
Only thing you can't trade are friends. You can only trade when you get the shipping box. You've got it
Reading the rulebook on pdf it definitely says you can trade in the planning phase. I'm not sure why the season event mentions trade as it seems to have no purpose.
I watched another playthrough where they only got gifts from people whose birthday it was that season. They may have got the rule wrong but maybe you did, I'd appreciate if you could confirm in the rules? I don't yet have the game. Thank you.
I can confirm in right on this one! Thanks for watching!
Have fun I hope you enjoy it!!!
I got the game :) I talked about solo in another reply. You were certainly right about the gifts. Came in very useful!
Says out of stock, are they planning on restocking or kickstarting this game?
Should be a second printing in 2 months!
Not goinna lie... I facepalmed when you grabbed a copper and iridium ore.. since upgrading your tools was an objective, not sure why you didn't get copper and iron? Upgrade twice? :P
Ha I had other plans
@@OneStopCoopShop Well it did seem to work out in the end :)
More or less!
I thought the same thing! Wasn't grandpa's objective to upgrade your starting tool twice per player? I thought Colin said 4 times total across all players. That's not how I interpret the card?
If only this was available outside the US.
By the way, you have a typo in the description, unless you didn't mean Orleans.
I think the second run they might try and make it available? And yes I was making Orleans invasion!
@@OneStopCoopShop i hope so
I wanna buy this.. but it only ships to US and its sold out... damnnn
I'm sorry!! They're will be a second run though. Not sure on international
Love it all top teir
You've got it! Gifts are pretty awesome! Only one per player though
bummed I missed out on this.
I'm sorry. There will be a second print run I think!!
Fun vid the game looks good but too bad i dont have the money to buy it Sadge i guess...
Hopefully the second print run will happen soon!!
First off, shame on you for not playing stardew valley the game. Multiplayer mod makes it so fun. Secondly if you played u would understand the reference to the purple underpants and a reason why it can be used as any one resource for the bundles. Cant wait to play this with my dad thou
Sorry about that Patrick!! Thanks for letting me know!
lol I'll tell you beforehand then! It's the mayor's undies who's trying to hide an affair with Marnie. You find out and basically you blackmail him!!!
The animals seem unnecessary and expensive and the fishing is frustrating. 100% stardew valley experiance.
Haha!! I've heard that's the case!
noooo dont marry hayley lol
Good I didn't!!
I want to buy this game but I'm in Việt Nam :
Im sorry!!
@@OneStopCoopShop It's not your fault
@@OneStopCoopShop I love the playthrough
Still feel bad though... I'm hopeful that will change with the second printing!
@@OneStopCoopShop I hope so
What a great looking game visually, but for me, looks far too random. Random dice for random cards with random season events really puts me off.
Certainly not for everyone I get that!
I had to stop watching because you called Stardew Valley an app, the blasphemy.
Hahaha!!!
