    This isn’t a blend of two worlds, Shōnen just loves copying marvel/dc comics

      I’ve got to disagree. Not only the cultural differences in the story’s, but big hitters like one piece and hunter x hunter and so unique to manga. No marvel or DC comic story’s are anything like these.
      I get series like MHA do take inspiration from the likes of marvel and DC, but it pretty much stops with superhero related series.

      @@martymahonia2425 most shonen tropes come from or were popularised by comics. orphan/missing parent, bullied kid gets powers, “the strongest” inner demon, goofy Mc, Mc can’t use main power system, hothead Mc, anger induced transformations and villain groups started as comic tropes. There’s a reason why most manga collectors have that one comic they love (like you and X-men)
      You’re right about the cultural difference.
      Shonen are often more political and sexualised while Marvel/dc are more character driven and slow paced

    I would recommend reading House of M, it's a part of x men as well. Also Old man Logan
