for people confused the mutants that exists outside of the Ultimate X-Men comics, are the ones the maker let exists he made a ' cure ' for the X-gene the reason these characters are getting their powers and are different people is because they were unknown variables for the maker mutants he didnt take into account and so they slipped through the cracks and are filling the holes left behind (also my theory is that the guy at the end will be some version of Charles Xavier)

Are we really going to end up with some magical girl XMen? While I didn't like the over the top pessimism and over the top shock plot devices, I did like a lot of the previous Ultimate changes with the mutant origins and scientific basis and grounding. This is interesting, but I am not sure it fits.
