    The man in the video is a hero because he's not promoting this as a side hustle it's a real business that can make you super duper rich.

    Did $1000 the first 2 days with a bare bones setup. 2 ladders, 5 gallon bucket, trash bags. I have another $1500 lined up... The neighbors were literally walking up and asking for my service. Thanks for the information.

    I have never used a leaf blower nor recommended on. They make too much mess.
    When your cleaning out the gutter,by hand, I use a 5 gallon bucket with a S shaped took duct taped to the plastic sheath on the handle. This attached hook will allow you to put the guyter debris in it and not make a mess on the ground/lawn/patio etc...
    I would recommend having several buckets

    • @Brettpat
      @Brettpat  Рік тому

      Yea I have done that before. It's all about explaining the service and expectations of the homeowner. You can you a blower not be messing in certain situations

      Blowing gutters out is no issue if it’s all dry debris, if it’s all wet nasty muck by all means do it by hand to avoid unnecessary mess

      @Brettpat  Рік тому

      @@Heyhowareya97 this is facts. It also will require a Little more work on the clean up

    Would you recommend getting liability insurance before starting this venture? I was told this is very important before officially starting your first job

    • @Brettpat
      @Brettpat  Рік тому

      You do what you think is best, butfor me id go and do a few jobs first ($1000) before investing in the start up too much. You need to have proof of concept first.

    Hey thanks for sharing. What about insurance? In your opinion, at what point should I be thinking about getting that?

    • @Brettpat
      @Brettpat  Місяць тому

      I would get insurance once you're past the proof of concept phase. It's going to cost you roughly $100 a month for a million dollars in coverage.

    Hey quick question, you mentioned getting a hose to flush them out. Do I need my own water supply for that or do I connect to the homeowners?

    • @Brettpat
      @Brettpat  Рік тому

      Great question. But no you can certainly use the homeowner's water to rinse out their gutters most homeowners do not mind by any means. But if you have any hesitations around it just asking them first.

    Do you ask the customer if you can put out a yard sign for a week? Maybe offer a small discount if they would let you?

    • @Brettpat
      @Brettpat  Рік тому +1

      Don't have to offer a discount. Just ask to leave it out. I'm usually very assumptive about it I just "say hey I'm going to go ahead and put a yard sign out You can take it up whenever you want to."

    I have a 2021 jeep grand Cherokee. Would that be a good vehicle to use for supplies and everything for gutter cleaning jobs? Or do I need a bigger for vehicle to start a business?

    • @Brettpat
      @Brettpat  5 місяців тому +1

      That would be perfect. You can make just about any vehicle work in the beginning.

    I noticed that you said $150 for gutter cleaning would you say that is a reasonable starting price for a 2000 square feet one story house what would you say is reasonable

    • @Brettpat
      @Brettpat  Рік тому

      There are several factors to consider. A good time of thumb is $1/ft for one story gutters.
      I have a e Book with more information on this.
